Doctor Who: Deathworld - Big Finish Review 

Will of course has very precisely hit the nail on the head here once more and as usual; but for anyone who hasn’t already done so; for anyone who fancies they know a thing or two about Doctor Who from 1963 to 1973, there’s a singularly RAD quiz that we had an absolute ball recording a couple of weeks ago elsewhere on this splendid channel! 😁

A Dr Who with subtext??

The new season of dr who i did enjoy but some episodes were a miss the 60 specials were okay the star beast was a miss as well ncuti gatwa i like him hes pretty funny but David tennat will always be my favourite take care 👍

First?

This box set is currently in my top 3 favorite stories Big Finish has released this year so far. Stephen Noonan, Michael Troughton and Tim Treloar is EXCEPTIONAL! And the story itself is really really good, too. I usually don’t rewatch stories from the classic series because I don’t have the energy to sit through 4 (more or less) 25-ish minute episodes and it’s similar with Big Finish stories with multiple 25-30ish minute parts, so I usually listen to one or two of them and then continue the next day, but Deathworld was so engaging to me that when I finished listening to the first part, I thought “eh, whatever, I’ll listen to the next one” and all of a sudden I’m at the interviews at the end! So so so GOOD!

There is a sly joke when the 1st Doctor says to the Brig "are you related to Brett Vyon?"

Deathworld was very well written, had great acting, and the horseman of the Apocalypse handling was a fascinating take on them. I have warmed up to Michael Troughton and Tim Treloar now and Stephen Noonan I had reservations but he was good too as the First Doctor.
