@@Euan I'm glad you enjoyed it. ☺️ It's good that there are people out there doing more structured and professional reviews, it means if I want to make something more relaxed but slightly less informative then the more detailed nicely shot reviews are being covered elsewhere. I felt a little guilty last autumn because my reviews were the only ones for a full week after the figures were announced, no batmanmarch, there wasn't even an official reveal video, all there was was my reviews and they were very chaotic. I do have a lot of fun with them though. Hopefully if you decide to get one of these you manage to find one without a ridiculous price mark-up, I can imagine with the scalpers being the only real secondary market it must make these a lot less straightforward to get outside of the UK

@@vickyxleigh it's a lovely thing to have. I have this and one imperial dalek, one special weapons, and four revelation necros daleks, so not a bad assortment of cream and gold. I hope you manage to get one of these.

that's fair, ideally it would be nicer if there were more colours in the wires, though the original version did have a lot more colours painted in, but was a blobby mess, so it's kind of a case of which issue is more of a problem. In an ideal world, all painted tidily would be the best solution, but given the choice I think I prefer a few painted neatly to a lot painted sloppily. But that's obviously going to be subjective.

someone was telling me the inside of the dome was an unpainted black on the original? I know the head on the original was more like the resurrection davros, rather than the sickly coloured black-goo dribbling look he had in Remembrance, which I think they've caught more this time around. The wiring is painted different this time round, that's probably the most noticable change, I gather a lot of people don't like how few colours are painted on here, but I feel like the paint apps on the wires of the original looked a little sloppy so personally I prefer less paint but done neatly, but that's going to vary person to person I imagine.

@@Paul_1971 ☺️ I got into watching classic doctor who just before S3 aired, when I was a teenager, but the reason Id been watching doctor who in the first place was because I'd seen a documentary about the classic series a few weeks before S1 started with ecclestone and I was like "this looks like the best thing ever" so I looked up every piece of information I could and checked out the new ones when they started, so technically it was the classics that drew me in. I missed out on the original version of this figure, because I was a student when it was released and I had a very limited budget, but I regretted it every since, so I've pent many long hours looking wistfully at pictures of it online, it's quite well etched into my brain.

glad you were able to get that, and not have the rerelease affect your enjoyment of it, hopefully you enjoy having both!

my local B&M pretty much always gets the figures in, they're very reliable, there's been a few times I've picked them up for a few friends with less well stocked stores in their area. How long has yours been open? If it's in the past 10 months or so they likely didn't get them in because they weren't new stock. Worth keeping an eye out for these ones once they're in stock.
