The song that crushes every whovian's heart. Even if you haven't seen or followed the entire seasons, you already know that it's going to be such a depressing and heartbreaking scene just by listening to this.
The "I don't wanna go." is fitting. The 10th regeneration only lasted 6-8 years. He could've done so much more, but absorbing all that radiation gave him no choice. 10th Doctor will always be my favorite.
the only actor who can actually make me sad when i think of how we are not going to get more episodes with him in it. this is all we are going to get with david as the doctor for the rest of our lives and how does that not make you sad? not saying matt was bad, in fact he was great! BUT DAVID MAN!
Everytime I listen to this theme, I picture myself as the Doctor and spending my remaining time traveling out to space and whispering 'I don't want to go...' before regenerating D':
What I noticed while listening to this, is you can really tell that the Doctor's personality had changed after 3:10, both in acting & in the music itself. To sound so dramatic & sad & suddenly sound like it's trying to say "HERE I AM EVERYONE, MATT SMITH IS HERE!! :D".
this is beautiful, sad and amazing. This scene always brings me to tears . The music is done perfectly and the fact that he had to go was sad and is still sad. After years of him being gone from doctor who it is still sad but he was a great doctor and nothing can top him. Thank you David Tennant. Thank you for being the tenth doctor we all know and love.
I'm super glad how this all turned out. Losing David was sad, but Matt was perfect for taking on the mantle. Whatever you may think of the change in writing, Matt's portrayal was a worthy successor.
The way is plays out is brilliant. The Doctor has been a character who can really be a multitude of personalities, and David's final moments is easily one of the most dramatic in the series, going from an elongated speech as a farewell to the role of the Doctor to the simple, yet powerful words of "I don't wanna go". We get a choir and orchestrated music for this big moment...only for it to switch to a fun and silly guitar as we're introduced to the fun and silly side of the Doctor when Matt steps in the role, assuring that the Dcotor will never change, and will live on...
Ood Sigma: We will sing to you Doctor. We will sing you to your sleep. Doctor: * slowly gets up and begins walking to the TARDIS whilst this music is playing * Ood Sigma: This song is ending...but the story never ends. Doctor: * reaches the Tardis and goes inside closing the door behind him. Taking off his jacket, he looks at his right hand which is glowing then he goes around the console and pulls the lever. He looks up as the Tardis circles around Earth. * I don't wanna go. * The Doctor then begins glowing. Slowly getting bigger until it explodes, shattering the TARDIS Windows and setting the console room ablaze. The Doctor then changes his face and the newly regenerated Doctor begins to inspect his body, unaware that the TARDIS is on fire. * Legs! I've still got legs! Good. Arms, hands ooh fingers, lots of fingers, ears. Yes, eyes, two. Nose, I've had worse. Chin...blimey! Hair...I'm a doll! No, no, I'm not a girl? no...and I'm still not ginger, okay, there's something I'm missing. Something...important I'm...I'm...I'm...*the Doctor then realises what is happening* Ha ha! Crashing! * The Tardis begins crashing back to Earth whilst the newly regenerated Doctor whoops around* GERONIMO!
gasjebasje95 which is also different. It's ok if you see similarities, but I just listened to the ninth Doctor's theme and they're nothing alike. The actual ninth Doctor's theme is that slow vocal song that a lot of people mistake as being the Bad Wolf theme.
Nostalgia 😢😭❤I remember watching this episode crying haha omg the new series with Jodie Whittaker is nowhere near as good as 10th and 11th 😔 It doesn't even feel like Doctor Who anymore 😔 miss this show so much
You know, with the right active imagination, the song could fit with the sacrifice of someone so their friends and family could escape from the big villain. Just imagine, them being on a ship, seconds from blowing up after being shot by the equally damaged villain ship, and as they get into the remaining escape pod, one person closes the latch and as his friends shout telling him don't do it, he launches the pod and makes a dash for the cockpit to collide the ship into the villain's ship, and seconds before crashing into the ship, he makes a heartfelt speech to his friends before crashing, and as 2:47 play, blowing up both ships taking out the villain.
*knock-knock-knock-knock* I was crying at this regeneration scene. A brilliant soundtrack for this scene and the best Episode with David Tennant. Allons-y! ^^
