Honestly the Angels episode was the best, they were genuinely scary, and it didn't revolve around crazy sci-fi it just played on our fear of statues. Still love it to this day.
Ricardo Rocha Exactly. That one episode was pure perfection. And the Angels actually had a scary but understandable idea. You get touched. You get sent somewhere in time. But now they break your neck and copy you or whatever. I havent seen Doctor who in awhile.
Yeah that episode was AMAZING! that was a legitimate short film, like if you see it, it has a better ( no offense), plot and it felt like a legitimate short film, i loved it
If you think about it it's not really weird at all that he strokes pieces of the tardis. The tardis is a living creature and just like any other living thing sometimes the tardis just needs a little love.
The TARDIS is like any other person, she deserves a bit of affectional stroking everything now and again...I mean the poor girl has been through A LOT. She is literally the only being that has stayed with the Doctor since the start...the one that has never left him or been left behind.

So the question is does he always use that name just because it's common or is it common because he uses that name so much? Do you get it now?
Sarah Jane Smith stated she had a friend who went by the name John Smith, meaning he didn't come up with it because of The Family of Blood. I didn't follow classic Who so I don't know more but yewah.
Well he does seem aware that it's a common name, so I don't think you'd pick a name in the hopes of being kind've obvious. So either it wasn't a common name when he made it, and he hasn't bothered to change it. Or he's just being lazy, which is sort've my canon, he couldn't be bothered to think of a better one.
Is it just me or does ten(nant) get a bit of a personality change after rose leaves. He seems more adventorous and curious and less lighthearted as the series progresses. Its not bad but sometimes it seems like two seperate doctors. I know rose's departure affected him but where did the positive traits come from?
I think that losing Rose really wrecked him and that he had to reinvent himself just to survive that pain. Like when somebody's spouse passes away when they're still relatively young, and you guys had all of these plans for the rest of your life and the rug has been ripped out from under you and you will never get to do all of those things. Your future together was ripped from your hands and you weren't prepared.
Because that’s what makes us who we are as people. A sad or bad experience can make us grow as people. You don’t just have to develop negative traits. Also she has an influence on him (from the show’s perspective). Donna practically says it when she says he needs people to tell him when to stop. All our interactions have an effect on us really. We all sort of bounce off each other. Even just one small interaction. It’s like the butterfly effect. I hope you get what I mean. It happens in real life just like it happens in the show.
Just putting in my five cents: Tennant is still the best doctor, just a notch above the fourth - a bit because of the different times - but mainly because he played the wounded doctor so brilliantly, hiding all that immense pain behind a boyish charm. His companions - Rose, Martha and Donna were real people, not over the top girls like Amy or too plain like Clara (who I both do like, despite their doctor) and he got to meet Sarah Jane again. That was epic. And, of course, he got to say goodbye to River Song... Tenth will never be forgotten... Twelfth is also getting there, but after Eleventh, that is not so hard to do, and most certainly not a challenge for the acting talents of Peter Capaldi...
...though had it not been for Tom Baker (a.k.a. the Fourth Doctor), David McDonald might have not aspired to become the ever so talented and vaulted actor to fill the shoes of such an icon. Heck, who am I kidding -- I love David Tennant too!

I didnt really like the 10th doctor i think he just looked a bit like a stick insect when he mad epic speeches and i always used to laugh I think 11 was the best 100%
Has anybody ever noticed how after he loses Rose, his new suit is all blue. It’s the color of mourning on Gallifrey. His brown suit had a bit of blue too because of still being in mourning over the time war, buy the loss of Rose was so devastating that he’s in a deeper depression than ever before.
+Bialar Crais I agree, most of the time I can't decide which of 9, 10, an 11 I like best. I guess I like them all equally but for very different reasons, as Eccelston, Tennant and Smith portray so very different Doctors. It took me quite a while to warm up to Peter Capaldi as the Doctor (which I initially even refused to watch), and although I haven't seen season nine yet, I think I might have come to accept and even feel for this new, somewhat callous Doctor :)
I've always liked how the running joke with Harriet Jones started with her having to introduce herself all the time, to her introducing herself when she doesn't need to.
It was an ongoing running-gag. When she first appeared in the series (first season) she also introduced herself that way because her position back then was so small no one ever recognized her.

I'll always love how happy the Doctor was when he saw Sarah Jane. Not only was it just good to see, but you can tell David Tennant was just thrilled to be there.
Does anyone else notice how the Tenth and Ninth Doctor era had alot of shots that were reminiscent of classic who cinematography? Just how it zooms in, pans around, and sometimes has still shots of the environment.

I love how you can tell David Tennant is struggling so hard to suppress his happy fangasming while also staying in character, like the Doctor is calling Sarah Jane brilliant and internally 9-10 year old David is squealing "IT'S SARAH JANE SMITH IT'S SARAH JANE SMITH AHHH IT'S SARAH JANE SMITH!!"

Tenant is a much more flexible actor than I would have guessed. The first major role I saw him in was the 10th doctor, and I rooted for him as an ultimate hero. But his role in Jessica Jones was profoundly and completely repulsive. In Broadchurch, he's such a sympathetic anti hero. I guess I'm just floored at his range. True actor.
I first saw him in Harry Potter.. the Doctor Who.. then Jessica Jones. He's one of my favorite actors. Kilgrave gave me chills. I mean, he's a cool character (even though he's evil) and I had some sympathy for him about his childhood... and he's attractive (that's just because David was playing him XD) But he was intimidating, terrifying and something about Kilgrave gave me chills... and not the good kind of chills.
I've watched the entire classic series, or as much as I can anyway, and I loved when they brought Sarah Jane back. I always get chills when she sees the Tardis again.
Right as everyone is having a discussion about Peter Capaldi I thought I'd share my thoughts. Well, what can I say other than Peter Capaldi is a great actor to play the Doctor, he's a lifelong fan, he's very talented as an actor which his history shows. But am I the only one who thinks his episodes are just really bad, like in my opinion the ideas for the scripts are just so bland and there's nothing in them that makes you be like "WOW" and all the episodes seem to be below average. Tell me what you think
***** Ya idk what it is about Capaldi's episodes but they just don't have that... excitement that I've grown so accustomed to with Eccleston, Tennant and Smith. Only episodeI 've enjoyed so far was the 2D aliens trying to take over. Capaldi wiggling the TARDIS around with his hand was just spectacular and I really felt like it was Doctor Who again. Then again, the latest episode where the Cybermen were taking over was pretty great too, but I still feel like the show has been missing something lately.
Capaldi has a few really good episodes. Some of my all-time favourites are some of his, like 'Listen' 'Flatline' and 'The Forest of Night', but yeah. A lot of his episodes have just lacked that 'WOW!' that you usually get when you watch DW, but I've always blamed that on bad scripts, because when Capaldi gets a good script, you can see just how brilliant an actor he is. 12 is also my second favourite (after 9) because of those couple of episodes.
Tenth is my Doctor i will always love the great talent of David, he made a funny, serious, loving and a complete Doctor. Loved Tom Baker Doctor he was a great actor, he will always be in my hearth, following David, do not know what to say about Matt, it was ok i guess, but Peter for my humble opinion is NOT the Doctor, he is playing the part to hard, he wants to be grumpy and sarcastic, using previous doctors items, the yo-yo the jelly beans. The spoon in the Robin Hood episode,the killer eyebrows??? Please....no....David always uses his eyebrows ..so when he will use something of his own i will maybe consider him as a doctor right now he is only an actor playing a part, and believe me that is the easy part..he needs to became the Doctor and i just do not see it happen anytime soon thank you for posting this video
Some of these are pretty good. But then on other scenes, you left out crucial bits of the dialogue. Like when the Doctor explains time being wibbly-wobbly. It should've started at the beginning of the whole quote: People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect...etc.
