Doctor Who is DEAD | Murdered by The Message 

As a kid, it never, ever occurred to me that Davros was “in a wheelchair”. He was clearly a sci-fi creature, that’s all.

So the show's lowest-ever ratings caused enough panic to bring back the people responsible for the show's highest-ever ratings, but nobody paused to think that they might need to change the writing which caused the lowest-ever ratings. Unbelievable. It boggles the mind.

Deep down, the writers don't view disabled people as equals. They view them as people who need their help.

As far as I know, the show ended with Capaldi. Timelords only have 13 regenerations

My late best friend LOVED DR. WHO. He was disabled and used a wheelchair. He had no problem with Daleks being as designed in the lore that got tossed out.

'We didnt want to be prejudiced against wheelchair users, so we're patronising them instead.' I used to work with a disabled Gentleman, who had an electric wheelchair and an incredible sense of humour about his condition which was killing him slowly, he called himself Davros.

But Davros wasn't in a wheelchair. He was a monster that was more machine than man. The Daleks story and history is incredible, well worth going and doing a deep read. He was dying and incorporated cyberwear into his body and the more he deteriorated the more he became a machine. The only way to keep his people alive was to put thier brains into a robot. This is the tragedy of Davros, he had the choice to save his people but it came at the cost of erasing their "humanity". The person that is writing Dr. Who should know this. But instead of having a backstory that spans centuries and has so much depth and interest, they've just gone and made him generic evil guy number 6, 803.

It’s good they’ve finally addressed the whole disabled=evil thing. I’m sick of being preyed upon by wheelchair using psychopaths. We’ve had to leave our hometown recently because it’s been overrun by them. We decided to live in an upstairs flat in the end. Job done.

It feels so surreal to see your childhood favourite show I obsessed about, to have such a fall...

It's hard to believe that we've reached an era where the fans have more class, and reverance for the show, and storytelling in general than the fumbling idiots who make the show.

Most people's favorite doctor being dressed down like he's an idiot, is the woke writers way of saying don't like this person that you like, like the person we want to like. That never works

Davros is actually an inspiring figure for disabled people if you think about it. Dude overcomes all his adversity and creates the most dangerous and powerful beings in the universe.

So the meep thingy played the victim, so it could get the upperhand then tried to kill a bunch of people. I don't think they thought that one through all the way.

I was never a Dr Who fan, but as a Star Wars and Lord of the Rings fan, I feel your pain, my friends.

I've done a bit of thinking... RTD says he doesn't want to portray a "wheelchair user" Davros (Half-dalek, Half humanoid) as evil. RTD completely forgets that the ""wheel chair"" he apparently uses is just the lower half of a Dalek's shell. RTD is therefore counting the Dalek Shell/suit as a wheelchair - therefore, all daleks are wheelchair users - therefore, all daleks can no longer be shown as evil. So much for the Trigger-happy mini tanks. RTD is reducing them to squids in mobility scooters. Also, what tf "he cant be evil and in a wheelchair?" Is he not a crazed, genocidal, mad scientist? why can he not be evil jUsT because he can't walk? - As stated before, the Daleks also use the same tech as him to move so... thats some flawed thinking right there Mr. Russel The Dickhead

Someone has said, "Who sees a villain in a wheelchair and takes away from that that all people in wheelchairs are evil?" I've just gotta add to that, who on earth saw an alien man moving around in the bottom half of a Dalek machine and thought it was the same thing as a human wheelchair for the disabled!?

I'm a 65 yr. old black who watched Dr.Who back in 1977 when it was on PBS in my state and got into it, but now they are just pushing this woke BS and most of us are F ing done with it.

You know the reason why a lot of evil doers in older movies were disabled in some way wasn't because disabilities were supposed to be associated with evil but because they were maniacs that were constantly engaged in risky activties that often lead to them getting injured OR something unjust happened to them which caused the injury when was then a cause for them going down a path of evil. Seriously even a 5 year old has the mental capacity to understand these things.

The whole dialogue about “Rose” being more powerful because they’re “non-binary” or “female-presenting” is not too different in my mind than when movies and tv shows try to make autism seems quirky or like a superpower or “the next step in human evolution” as the 2018 Predator movie put it. This is insane.

I didn't mind the start of the Meep gender discussion because it kinda sounded like the Doctor switching from human handling mode to alien handling mode (assuming the aliens have even weirder sexual characteristics than the animals on earth). Then it focused entirely on what correct pronoun to use and things just got weird. Also other than the whole "trans is better" thing, they practically never touch on Rose's history or physical sex to the point where I had no idea what the "bullies" were talking about except that they were meant to be bullies. The idea of Rose being a fusion of the Doctor and Donna kinda gives the trans thing some meaning but in the end it just ends in a case of retaliatory sexism. The trans thing can be interpreted as realizing you get to choose who you are (ie personality does not equal genetics/lineage) but it seemed to be more "your dumb because your male" or worse "your dumb because you choose to be male". Doctor Who is literally a story about a shapeshifting alien from outer space who can go anywhere in time and space. Even if they wanted to promote "the message", They have so much to work with and they end up strong-arming together a mess that is just trying to shove what politically correct jargon was the first thing that came up when they googled "transgender" or "gender equality".

Man, I'm not even a fan of Doctor Who, and it still hurts me to see something like this happen. It's a fucked up world we live in, when they can deliberately destroy just about every franchise they get their hands on, just to shovel their drivel to the masses.

David Tennant was such an amazing Doctor and even Matt Smith was good. I actually got my first girlfriend because of this show, I remember she gave me Tardis-shaped candy when we were in school. And now I see this... how they have massacred this show that was so special for so many people. Disgusting. I have lost all hope.

I remember what an event the 50th anniversary special was. Sad to see this 10-years later. Man this world got screwed up in only a decade.

It's just occurred to me - by his own rules, RTD is now associating being able-bodied with being evil!

For me, Tom Baker was the all time iconic Doc. Eccentric, intelligent, a bit mad, the scarf, the hat and the jelly babies! The show was started by a first time female producer, Verity Lambert, in 1962 on a shoe string budget. The first episode debuted on 23 November 1963 (when JFK was assassinated) so it was a modest start for the show but it quickly took off after that. Now it’s all over.

My condolences to all the Dr Who fans. I was never particularly fond of the show, but I can understand why others cherish it like I do with Tolkien's work. If the call to defund the BBC wasn't strong enough before...I think this might push it over.

If they're changing the design of Davros because he's a "wheelchair user", the daleks should be written out entirely since they're all mutants who rely on the dalek casing to move.

The point about Davros was that he was powerful despite being physically destroyed; the Target book describes him as a shattered shell of a man, who should have been pitiful, but instead was terrifying. Sheer ntelligence and force of will combined with his being an obssessed megalomaniac are what make him scary, He should attract our pity and sympathy, but he doesn;t. He needs no one. The "would set me among the gods" is one of the finest scenes in the show's history. Nyder is shown to be just as evil and _almost_ as ruthless as Davros (even he hesitates about destroying the Kaleds, his own people) and is physically perfect.

How in the Hell was Captain Jack not enough? Were the scripts too well written and someone thought the common folk might accidentally get lost in a great story instead of focusing on someone's personal preferences for 55 minutes?

I'm deeply disappointed. Not surprised but disappointed. They couldn't even let go of "The Message" for Doctor Who's birthday. And the scene with Donna and her "daughter" talking down to the Doctor like he was an errant child, was the sh*t icing on the turd cake. The Doctor is truly dead. When out with a whimper not a bang. I'm devastated. 😞

No one ever saw Davros and thought, "I guess all handicapped people are evil, if Davros is" ... except perhaps RTD and the production team for this show.

When that puppet said its pronouns i raged and turned off the show, really well said about the identity issue with this seasons chara ter and former characters. Unfortunately it seems that people can be bought out because we are seeing too many seriese die out due to the message

Davros wasn't evil because he was in a wheelchair, nor was he in a wheelchair because he was evil. The only people associating evil and disability are the production team. Removing Davros from the wheelchair removes the link between him and his creation - the Daleks.

In a weird way, Tennant reminded me of Woody in Toy Story 4, where he comes through as exhausted, depressed and tired of all this sh*t - when in fact, he was the one that carried the first 3 films. Though I don't hope it, I'm afraid this show will go downhill and fade into obscurity once and for all. 😢

I'm 58 and Dr Who has always been a part of my life. I remember hiding behind my Dad's chair being scared sh'less watching it as a little kid. I feel like I'm being evaporated piece by piece as they destroy everything I once held dear.

Well... That's a damned shame. I'll just watch the old donna and doctor episodes this Christmas.

This is heartbreaking after decades of enjoying great writing, followed by recent years of trying to stomach garbage, to learn that the comeback is even worse. We will not be poisoned by the message in Doctor Who, and we will not be watching anything by Disney in recent years. This is taking stupid up to an unknown level, and we will not be watching any of it.

For me, I just ignore anything that came after Capaldi. Donna's heroic tragedy is still in tact, and is the only example I can currently think of that DE-constructs a character well and with purpose. It made sense in world and was truly tragic. Donna's development wasn't destroyed to make another character look better, to mock her, or uphold an external agenda. I didn't realize the episodes with Tennant and Tate were already out. I was looking forward to them, but now will probably never watch them.

I was a Doctor Who fan, i was a Marvel fan and i also was a Star Wars fan "Was", but being honest for a moment Disney has ruined everything I've ever loved and it keeps getting worst, the "message" is ruining the entertainment industry for the worst and it breaks my fandom heart.

Davros just got the panderverse treatment, but because he’s a villain, instead of getting the “make it a chick, make it lame and make it gay” hero treatment, he got the opposite - he got the “make it a dude, make it not lame (literally), and make it straight (and white)” villain treatment.

Honestly, I female doctor wasn't a bad idea. It worked wonders with Missy after all. The problem was Chibnall and his writing. He took an amazing opportunity and threw it down the drain, making everyone remember the only female doctor as the worst doctor.

This is why you have to gatekeep. A show with over 5 decades of history, lore, and fandom eviscerated because of the message.

As soon as I heard they were bringing back Donna, I cried. her ending was heartbreaking and so bittersweet--Russel T. Davies destroying that sealed the show's fate. This isn't Dr Who, this is Dr Cuck

I remember the very first when I was a kid. It was on a Saturday afternoon when me and my brother made sure, that whatever we were doing, we didn't miss it otherwise we'd have nothing to talk about when we were back at school. Every child my age watched it. In the early days, it was so primitive but I think that has made it so wonderful.

The Star Beast was my last hope for this show, I saw it as a sweet goodbye to the franchise (David Tenant coming back and all). But when I saw that they solved the Metacrisis via gender identity I knew there was nothing left, and it's been dead for a long time. It's kinda like seeing a lost loved one, and then realizing they're a zombie. Still shambling around, but not the person you knew, and only looking to devoir your brain (or lower your IQ in this case).

This is such a shame. I really enjoyed Tennant’s original run and I know a lot of people were excited to see him again in the role. What a mess. He’s so talented, he genuinely loves the part and treats the fans so well, and he deserves better.

Today is the first time I’ve seen the whole “Doom” bit. That was embarrassingly bad 🤦‍♂️😫🤮 Get rid of a wheelchair user because “bad” and being in a new wheelchair user because “good” 🤦‍♂️ “Something a male presenting time lord would never understand.” There is so much wrong with that sentence by that character.

Its really funny when you realise that the take away russel gets from davros is "disabled people are evil" When it could just as easily be "evil people are more likely to become disabled" which actually makes way more sense.

Holy crap the dialog is tragic. "I'm not, I'm more " when referring to being "non binary" is so weird. That would technically make you less, that aside it's so blatantly messaging. It's all simply preaching to a choir that's mostly up and left before the sermon began because even they don't like it's delivery. It's bizarre

I was angry with Star Wars, Star Trek, Marvel, and Tolkien getting destroyed. But, this hits different. It hurts. I feel stupid crying over a TV show. They took a show I helped me through some of my darkest days and destroyed it.

I think we've all heard "THE MESSAGE" by now. I miss the Smith-Tennant-Eccleston whimsical good vs. evil plotlines. A children's show, innocent and entertaining.

It truly hurts my heart to see what they have done to one of the all time greatest Sci Fi shows in history of TV.......I have watched this series for over 40 years only to watch it crash and burn due to wokeness run amok.
