The Sixth Doctor and the Thirteenth Doctor interacting is something I didn’t know I needed but Six’s sheer rage at hearing her say “Fam” really awakened the desire for more.
Oh there was a plot though~ it’s just with THIS many doctors at work it fixes itself awfully quick. Solid reason why it’s nigh improbable to pull off a multidoctor story of THIS magnitude. The closest we got was Light at the End and Legacy of Time, and that’s still barely using the new Doctors. One day~ someone will pull it off... OH WELL BACK TO MY UPTEENTH REWATCH
6th has got plenty of justice these past years. I think the best was “The Last Adventure” FAR more fitting an end then just “OOP! Ow! I hit my head WELL IM OUT THEN PEACE!”
There's also a scene in The Light at the End where he's the only one to stop a squabble among incarnations and get down to brass tacks. He even kicks the door open and waltzes in to catch their attention.
Anyone notice how throughout the whole thing, the war doctor sounds so happy to be part of this but when he signs off, you can hear the dread in his voice with "endless war"
@@phoenixman8569 So, lengthy nerd out ahead, fair warning to skip if you like, but I find this stuff good to know, so I'll share: You know what's interesting to realize, re: toilet paper (sorry, "bathroom tissue" lol)? Part of it WASN'T "hoarding" as we classically think of it - that is, buying way way WAY more than one needs or would ever need - a lot of it, as some have pointed out, was "a LOT of people (most of them really) buying in ONLY SLIGHTLY larger quantities than usual, *largely because they're trying to avoid going out more often than they need to*", and...then stores weren't prepared for that level of demand all at once, and then people were Concerned they would run out and not be able to get more when they actually needed it because stores *kept* running out, so... every time they saw it they'd buy it, and that just made it worse of course, woops. Vicious cycle! But that's not the only factor! My spouse pointed out a few weeks ago: "well, of COURSE *individuals* are buying more toilet paper; almost nobody's pooping at work anymore." But of course they still gotta poop (or...other things, which depending on anatomy you might also need TP for!). So instead of relying on the INDUSTRIAL suppliers that supply things like office buildings, restaurants, and manufacturing etc with things like that, they wind up just...having to buy their own so they can do it at home, ya know? So I can almost guarantee supplies of those giant awful thin TP wheels that go in public restrooms are fine - it's just the nice [insert name or store brand here] 4-ply quilted stuff or whatever that you buy for the home that is having....distribution issues. And speaking of industrial-scale suppliers! On that note: there's not a "food shortage" of most items, either, or wasn't up to the point I write this (issues with consistently getting enough healthy able-bodied people to pick a lot of our produce or pack a lot of our meat or whatnot, is...it's own potential issue I think). It's just that the biggest buyers of things like produce and milk *weren't previously individual households buying "grocery store" sizes*; they were restaurants and other food service or hospitality companies (e.g. hotels, sit-down restaurants, bars, caterers etc), who usually buy IN BULK. Which, coincidentally, is how individual gallons of milk have been occasionally getting hard to find in grocery stores, even as farmers are "forced" to dump way more of the stuff than I'd like to think about. It's two COMPLETELY different supply chains, and they're so separated that when the Hospitality/Food Service industry demand imploded, well. Interesting side effect of this is that some restaurants have been trying to make use of their bulk stock before it goes to waste and have supplemental revenue at same time and actually added "groceries" (e.g. "a pound of flour", "quart of milk" etc) to their "menu" of things you can purchase for delivery/pickup. SO - keep that in mind if you're short on something during this mess: it's entirely possible local businesses that AREN'T grocery or convenience stores, have some for sale, if they normally do stuff with food.
Agreed. The picture of Pertwee was a bit freakish though. I wonder why they chose all of those rather than regular DW stock footage? Surely not because of copyright?
Nepkolz ′ I just watched him doing that one. THORS (LOL great acronym!) is my favorite DW special. I wish we could have seen some of 12 and River’s lives together...
My first thought was that Doctor Who or was it in an episode? I can't remember but either way the doctor told her, we have 10 minutes, get dressed. She looked at him and sighed and said, oh dear, that was almost the perfect sentence.
Chelsea yesss, that’s one of mini-episodes, and in it’s end there was: “Oh Doctor, you and your secrets. You’ll be the death of me.” 11th’s face was so heartbreaking!!
@@ffionvernon I can remember being in the audience of a comedy show when Culshaw did his Tom Baker voice as a warm-up (a loooong time ago) - it sort of stopped the room, it was so uncanny...
Gonna be honest 12 and 13 impersonators didn’t really sound like them but everyone else was pretty spot on. I mean they weren’t too bad but it was noticeably off.
I thought 8 was terrible, 12 grew on me, 13 started off sounding like a granny but got better, everyone else was pretty good. The surprise package was the War Doctor.
i mean, boomer means someone from specific previous generation... which previous doctors kind of qualify as... also it's very in-character for 13 to throw around with buzzwords like that
carealoo744 well six did just shrug off the doctors as if “oh let me know when an ACTUAL emergency happens, Twits” You know. As if being trapped inside a slowly dwindling TARDIS while an evil entity is preparing to take advantage of a Quarantined earth ISNT AN EMERGENCY. Even the OTHER doctors agreed this was a lowball dick move.
@@dereknight861 Exactly. One was acknowledged; Another wasn't. But even if that wasn't the case, do I honestly have to explain to you the difference between these two things? It's painfully obvious that if you leave the group of people who are in the middle of a crisis situation, that it's a jerk move. But people say: 'Okay boomer,' all the time, like it doesn't even-matter.
1- I can't believe you actually got David Bradley. He's wonderful as the first. 2- Very spot on 3- Scary good 4- Sounds more like Tom than Tom does. It's eerie. 5- Super accurate 6- Pretty similar 7- Very good 8- I went to the description to check if you actually got Paul. 9- Fantastic! 10- Spot on! 11- Again, that one is super scary. 12- Eh. Not really. I know what my favorite Doctor sounds like. 13- Unfortunately, no War- Great!
Agreed, Chis Thompson does a great 12, he voices second but wonder why they didn’t ask him to do 12. Grace ward albeit not very well known, her 13 is great, look her up
Personally, I was surprised they used Debra Stephanson for 13. I would've picked Wendy Abrahams who is lately appearing on more and more fan projects as an official impersonator for Jodie and she sounds great. And I would've used Wink Taylor for 5, as I feel that now, you hear too much of Jon Culshaw when he speaks.
"You two, I am definitely coming to your wedding." Can we acknowledge Thirteen throwing some of the shadiest shade the Doctor has ever thrown at themselves?
It’s cool that a mostly-official BBC production is using the talents of these wonderful impressionists who have been doing these voices and producing content for so long :)
VulcanMushroom Out of all of the impressionists in the video, only Jacob Dudman and Jon Culshaw are used by Big Finish, and they use Culshaw’s Nicholas Courtney voice, not for any of the Doctors. (David Bradley has done BFs too but I wouldn’t call him an impressionist lol)
@@danjohnsonDW Yeah, but still. People who can imitate voices are pretty cool. I guess you just have to pay a lot of attention to how others talk. The specifics.
I love that the 6th Doctor saved the day with cat pictures! That was genius. And, of course, the War Doctor would be the only one to slow down and notice. 😆 That totally tracks. Love it!
Pretty much everybody is spot-on in character in this, even when the voices aren't as good a match you can definitely imagine them saying those things, least I can
I got so bummed out that the Sixth Doctor was seemingly left out of this whole thing --- just for him to come back and save the day at the end, and having been saving it the whole story, having me excited again. Honestly, even as someone who knows the best side of him from expanded media and hates to see him get crap for how he was on the show, I will admit that, no matter what his personality in any medium, it is so him to just ignore everybody so he can focus on doing his own thing, but allowing them to unknowingly assist by distracting the thing their fighting. Loved that.
I've always wanted a young War Doctor Series, in which he actually commits all the atrocities that he regrets in his later life. The War Doctor Box Sets we already have had the War Doctor being already sick of it
"I would have thought a dandiest dandy is more your style" "My dear fellow may I remind you that you are wearing salad?" I love this too much. I've watched it more than I should have
"Great all 12 of them!" "No Sir! All...wait, how many are we again? Thirteen? "Fourteen if you include me, and no reason to not, just because I'm a woman. And fifteen if you include that one from season 7B, and oh say about a dozen more who predate us calling ourselves the Doctor..." "I give up. Extermination by Daleks is better that this." :)
Angie Beaumont I’m so used to hearing McGann that it definitely sounded slightly off, but I thought it worked very well. I think 6 benefited from not being in the whole thing, or else it would have been noticeably more off, but I thought he did a fine job! Loved this through and through.
Which is INCREDIBLY in-character for her, lol. And I love her for it. Her use of "fam" in canon is terribly endearing to me, like, epitome of Adorkable. :D
I still remember finishing up at a convention, being told that next year they were apparently going to get Elisabeth Sladen....then within the next week finding out she had died. :(
@@mythme01 right?? I legit 100% thought that was going to be Tom Baker's name in the credits, because I had never heard Culshaw's impression before. It's just that good, I couldn't assume it was anyone but Baker!
Underrated parts of this video: -How all the profile pictures are so in character -2 playing the recorder as everyone is yelling at each other -Nine calling war « time gramps » -7 and 2 playing the doctor who theme song at the end -the sheer absolute 3am zoom call energy
It’s a joke considering the ACTUAL Baby boomer generation was between 1946-1964...and the franchise began in the year JUST before it ended. Just reminding us all this Series is REALLY old O_O;
11: "Clara got banned"? 12:"Clara"??? That got me 😂 ded💀 Also the 1st Doctor breaking in with confusion and all annoyed...absolutely, completely heartwarming and perfect 💙💙
Absolutley amazing work by Emily and everyone else involved. Great job by all the actors and loving the feedback from everyone who enjoyed it! TRIVIA: 13:44 - I improvised that line ;)
City of Death--4 talks about his relationship with Leonardo. The plot involves the Mona Lisa. Remember in "The Impossible Astronaut" when 11 was in that Laurel and Hardy movie? That's why that picture
The fourth Doctor encountered seven identical Mona Lisa paintings, all by Leonardo da Vinci, whilst on holiday with Romana in Paris in the spring of 1979 or eight, i forget....
This is so sweet- I love that even in lockdown we are being so spoiled for content- this community really is like no other and I’m so proud to be part of it 💕💕💕
"this community 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕" can you give it a rest please? If ever there was a time to pretend that a few comments on the internet or some Facebook group automatically turns all doctor who fans into some community, now isn't it. The show has been destroyed and even if you're the kind of person who is able to still enjoy it - it's more divisive than could ever have been imagined a few short years ago. Even this video includes the hateful 13 and yet another swipe at fans at 7:00 (which wasn't even true of course, people from all walks of life speak out against Chibbaker), as do most of these DW Lockdown videos, hardly spoiling fans like me, who are probably in the majority considering the collossal loss of viewers and the overwhelming popularity of channels like critical drinker, nerdrotic and flower productions Vs the ever divisive and less and less popular official Doctor who RU-vid channel (and its presence on any social media). The "doctor who community 💕" is certainly not in good health right now, not even "editorially". All I'm saying is spare a thought for all the fans left behind by the team making the show now, we're still here! These lockdown videos would do way better than a meagre few thousand views if it weren't for including 13 in all the content. (Critical Drinker's latest video on doctor who - on The Timeless Children got nearly half a million/over 400,000 views so far, for comparison).
@@them1ghtyalex dude just take a look at your own wall of text. You have to understand this mindset is part of the problem. A single line "if I wanted to hear a bunch of guys yelling at each other I'd go on the internet," managed to ruin a 15 minute video for you? It wasn't a malicious line, and was aimed at the audience of people *on* the internet, they're poking fun at *us,* and you're supposed to be in on the joke. If Tennant's or Ecclestone's Doctors had made the joke, you probably wouldn't have batted an eye. The writing on the television program has negatively colored the way you're viewing unrelated content made by professional fans.
Alex Saunders Hey man, wasn’t trying to cause any drama- there’s been plenty of stuff released during lockdown without her if you aren’t a fan. I do still believe there’s a community here, and I’m sorry if you disagreed with my emoji use but I don’t think that discredits me somehow. I love this show, but that doesn’t mean that I love every aspect of it, and I (or you) shouldn’t have to. Doctor who fans have always been critical and should be allowed to be, discussion and disagreement (in a civil way) is a vital part of any community! But even the current era means a lot to a lot of people and I personally don’t really think we should be too upset at all the free content being released for everyone at the moment. Totally wish you well but I don’t think Doctor Who has ever tried to leave behind fans- there’s so much new content being produced with older doctors if that’s more up your street, and maybe a future era will appeal more.
@@8LiterallyJustTheNumber8 3 brief paragraphs constitute a wall of text ok learn something new. Involving 13 in Doctor Who content is enough to ruin it for me. "In on the joke"?... I know you don't believe that that's apologist bs, just a coincidence it was said by 13 was it? Give me a break. "Wouldn't have batted an eye"? Of course I would have because it would clearly have had the same intention said by anyone in any content featuring the 13th doctor; if it was uttered by another doctor (or just anyone else in non DW content) in content that didn't involve 13 then I would still "bat an eyelid" because it's a terrible joke (if you could even call it a joke), it only belittles anyone (male) who ever happened felt the need to voice their opinion online and it spoils the punchline by lying in the set up of the joke ("men shouting" instead of people or idiots or angry people etc) - clearly indicating the point was not to make a funny joke, but just that aforementioned belittling and to take a targeted swipe at males (in this case trying to suggest only male fans have a problem with her); no humour there. Go to any comment section anywhere, people of all sexes and colours and inclinations "shout on the internet" and you know that full well.
@@selectra8408 except that Chibnall's work on the show has not simply been a dip in quality, a poor series or two like we've had before at several points in dw's history - JNT era series like s18, the TV movie, series 7, Clara. Those are fine they don't go and ruin the show (Clara tried to, to be fair) they're just a bit less good than the better series and stories of Who. No, with Chibnall the entire show has been fundamentally corrupted and "appropriated" (if you will) by a particular political class and they've stamped their ideologically polarizing vision for the show across its history and its future (using the Timeless Children to make sure you don't forget what they've done no matter what era you're trying to enjoy). And Whittaker is so fundamentally incapable of portraying the Doctor and has made it clear so many times that her political ideology (and probably the money) was the only reason she ever took the role. Don't pretend what happened here is just like any other dip in the show's history and that it'll just bounce back and start being for everyone again later down the line. However much it does or doesn't improve after Chibnall and Whittaker get lost the show is never going to be the same again, especially for all the fans deliberately left behind during this era - but it won't be the same for anyone else more casual or still watching either; it's always going to be a source of argument, toxicity and division now rather than something wholesome to bring people together and have "water-cooler moments" about (as some people say) for example. It's such a f*****g shame, and a disgrace.
A lot of unnecessarily critical replies among the nice ones so just want to say thank you to all the voice actors for their time and effort making this. It was fantastic :).
I was laughing the whole time, this is so good. The fact that they all assembled because one of them got stuck in the TARDIS, the sighing at “another end of the world”, everyone just memeing the whole time. The editing was really good, perfect comedic timing. I could not stop giggling when the 3rd came onto screen. That close up expression is too good. And the 1st barely in frame like an old man who can’t use technology. It look me a minute to notice John Hurt on a background of “no more toilet paper”. The kazoo absolutely sent me 😂
I love the interaction between 2, 3 and 4, third is like annoyed older brother... :D And the thirteen in the closet, someone clearly had fun making the profile pictures, if only people watching this in future will get the context "or as I like to call it hiding from an army of sontarans" Feel guilty for picking only those two things but it would be too long if I would write everything that deserves highlighting, cause it's all great!
Until I read the description I was wondering how you got all the living actors to work together. Especially after how Chris Eccleston left the series. Amazing impressions.
I absolutely ADORED the 6th Doctor in this!!! He's perfect! Bit of a shame about 8, though. He didn't really do or say much, and although he'd probably be the kind of Doctor to have a companion in his profile picture, you'd think he'd put someone like Charley, Liv, or Fitz instead of Grace. yes, i know grace is the only companion most people know of, but still!! She's only had one adventure with 8 ever to my knowledge.
This is SO MUCH FUN :D sixie and war saving the day and the time honored tradition of two and three bickering to no end. I love it!!!! I love everyone here!
I wonder why Chis Thompson and Grace Ward couldn’t do 12 and 13, would’ve been very accurate, but this was the most fantastic treat Emily you could ever give, thanks for all the hard work you do. I recognise a great story and cast when I see it, God bless
Anyone glad six saved the day haha The way the 6th Doctor was F'd around on the show behind the scenes. He deserved this :) P.S. Big Finish Productions have possibly made him the "best" Doctor IMO
I still can't believe the voice of Sixth and Eighth Doctor is the same person. Bleeping heck. Also, that War Doctor made me believe time travelling is real..
"hello again sexy. look its the round things" "i lOVE THE ROUND THINGS" "let him catch his breath." "probably had to climb some stairs" while you my not have nailed some of them (12&13) all of the others were spot on and the personalities were flawless. fantastic job
I loved this so much. And when 12 said "see you tomorrow", the first thought that came to my mind was that it was time for him to plan to join the other previous 11 doctors to save/freeze Gallifrey in his timeline. This was incredible... I almost had a tear in my eye. It was beautifully done. Great story :')
Well also in the comics there was like three crossovers between the doctors with 12 leading his run so But I totally buy this is before Day of the Doctor
This was amazing!! I saw that 11 was Jacob Dudman, so I was already expecting it to be perfect (and it was!!) but I was SO taken by surprise at how perfect Nine’s impression was. Just... wow. And the Tom Baker impression was really good too! Ten wasn’t quite right in a couple of places, but all in all it was great. 13 could’ve been better, though. I wish I was more familiar with the other voices because I can’t really remember what the actual actors sound like!
I know! And if people are gonna be persnickety about the EXACT enunciations and accents being slightly off, They’re taking they’re time to do this for our entertainment, probably for little in repayment aside from what the channel is hoping to do in charity. This IS ALL FOR CHARITY. Let people enjoy things.
timrob12 they’ve all done the watch alongs and tweets and skits and stuff for charity and for some of the lockdown specials so they wouldn’t have asked for money
timrob12 Matt Smith did the tweet along, every surviving doctor did the charity special the other week, McGann is in audios all the time, Jodie Whitaker did one of the lockdown videos and Tennant is very charitable, Capaldi appeared in a zoom thing as well the other week. Arthur Darvill also acted in one of these, Suranne Jones appeared, Jacqueline king, Camille coduri, almost the whole cast of SJA etc. all big characters and actors. And David Bradley himself appeared in this There’s no doubt the Doctors would have said yes
@@obiwankenobi687 Well, I'm only speculating of course. Maybe it's because the event is for the fans that they let the wonderful fan impersonators do a full story.
The Third Doctor was dead on. And great reference to the song "I Am the Doctor". It's a pity Culshaw doesn't look like Pertwee otherwise he could have easily passed him for him in a show. Face of Sean Pertwee, voice of Culshaw and you might have a perfect Three.
Amazing! There's still some work to do in both the writing and impression departments with 13 to really capture her voice and personality (she'd use "ok boomer" all wrong and only because she's heard Yaz use it before, she doesn't really know what it means) but it's only natural, we've had years with the others and she's relatively new and unexplored outside of Jodie and Chibbers and his team. Wendy Abrahams is a bit more convincing as 13, but still not quite there either.
I am surprised they didn't get Wendy Abrahams though, considering she works with Wink Taylor who did Seven here (and would've been a better Five than Culshaw in my opinion) and I'm sure he could've suggested her.
This is yet another awesome thing that I can only wish, retroactively, that I could've been a part of (6th and/or War Doctors -- not that Angus and Jonathon weren't excellent). Chris, Pete, and Elliott are pretty much the definitive impressionists for their respective Doctors, as Jon is for the 3rd and 4th. The 7th Doctor is a notoriously difficult voice, and Wink did one of the closest I've ever heard. And of course getting David is a coup. Really, well done all around!
Wow, how amazing! Makes me proud to be a fan! There’s rightly a lot of applause for the impressionists but I’d also like to give the writer a big clap: better than the current series run!
Very happy to read the love for this. But you guys did 13 dirty. She is much more than shouting millennial jokes every time she speaks and saying fam all the time? I understand alot of people don't like her (everyone entitled to their opinion) but this feels like you really pushed her to the back and spew nonsense. She's much more than that I think (and I hope others do to) I'm seriously disappointed with how this was played out..
That’s just one of the problems with having a ton of doctors in one story, it’s a bit of a struggle having to juggle them all. The last time something of this scale happened was in the Light at the end which had the first 8 doctors, even then they barely managed to get all the doctors something to do (7 kinda got the short end of the stick in that story)
I totally understand there's alot of doctors to handle like they had to concentrate on one main doctor, but she is the current doctor and I feel she really isn't getting an recognition along with the new time lord victorious stuff that's happening this year it's certainly odd. Either way this is fan made I won't delve deeper into it at all. If other people enjoyed it I am happy at that. Not everyone has to love it!
I love that on their own the doctors are brilliant individually, but the second you get them in a room with each other. They get so distracted by one another they don’t get anything done. In fact, they end up distracting everyone else around them, causing more distraction. It’s so funny.
