At the end of the Twelfth Doctor's era, I ranked all 10 modern Doctor Who series up until that point. Now we've had a whole new Doctor's era with 3 series so I thought it was a good time to re-rank the series, but this time with the 3 new ones! Remember that these are my own personal opinions but I'd love to see yours in the comments!

Quite interesting. My main difference from you is in the ranking of Doctors: I don't dislike Tennant, but I prefer Eccleston, Smith, and Capaldi. I also prefer Moffat to Davies as a writer, although Moffat turned out to be less good as a showrunner. But I’d have difficulty in ranking series, because they’re all mixed bags; I’d prefer to pick and choose among stories.

My ranking: 13) S13 - Was an absolute mess 12) S11 - Was Really Boring 11) S12 - The Doctor being The Timeless Child is grossly offensive 10) S7 - no standout episodes, the split doesn't help 9) S2 - Not a big fan of 10/rose and some of the weakest RTD1 episodes 8) S9 - A few great stories (Heaven Sent is perfect) but otherwise pretty mid. Clara overstayed her welcome and hell bent is probably the biggest fumble in nuwho 7) S8 - fairly mid, a few decent episodes but pretty forgetable on the whole 6) S6 - I enjoy most of the series and the series arc, has some really excellent episodes and 11 / Amy / Rory is my fav TARDIS team. 5) S3 - Not really any bad episodes. 10 / Martha isn't my favourite but Blink and the 3 part finale is just a masterpiece. 4) S10 - They nailed Capaldi's characterisation, overall pretty good, with a masterful 2 part finale (and a great Christmas Special) 3) S4 - Best Tennant / Companion duo and an incredible string of episodes in the 2nd half of the season. No bad episodes. 2) S1 - Wonderfully structured series. A shame we only got 1 series of Eccleston. A brilliant start to nuwho with no bad episodes, and a fairly simple but not uninteresting series plot. 1) S5 - Favourite series with my favourite Doctor. I love the series arc but the episodes too are all at least good, some great. The series finale is just wonderfully constructed and contains a few of my favourite scenes and lines of dialogue in Doctor Who. Was also the first proper series I watched as it came out, not that I remember those original experiences that much.

This list and seeing people’s own list in the comments is actually kind of refreshing. It’s nice to see Who fans aren’t just a monolith and can actually have different opinions without being jerks about it. I mean, I still see 1 kinda jerky comment in the comments section here but the majority of people in the comments here are being pretty civil

My top four favorites are basically the same as yours - Donna's season, Martha's season, Rose's first season, and Amy's first season. There are many good to great in all those other seasons, and The 12th Doctor is my favorite, but those four seasons above are always my favorites.
@pangalacticgargleblaster1369
My favourite few seasons: Season 6: Everyone gives this series so much hate, but River is one of my all time favourite characters, and her dynamic with the doctor in the episodes shes in is wonderful. There are so many standouts for this season, including the intriguing opener, The Doctors Wife, The Girl Who Waited, God Complex, and Closing Time. The “midseason finale” is just incredible. One of the greatest plot twists comes in Good Man Goes to War, packing so much emotion with Amy’s kid and all that she went through. Let’s Kill Hitler is also a great follow up, balancing clever setup for later episodes with River meeting the Doctor for the first time, with great comedy, especially with Amy, Rory and River. Although it can get a little complicated at times, the overall arc and narritive of the season was one of the best in the whole show. Unfortunately it was let down by a pretty mediocre finale. Season 9: The whole 2 parter thing honestly really works fore, and theres not a single story in there I dislike, except of course for Sleep No More. Me’s story was honestly really compelling in the handful of episodes she showed up in, Clara consistantley had a great vibe with the doctor, and episodes like the Zygon Invasion and Face the Raven are simply brilliant. The finale is also probably my second favourite in the whole show, Heaven Sent is so brilliant, and Hell Bent was a great and heartfelt goodbye to Clara. Plus, if we include the specials, it has one of my top five favourite episodes of Doctor Who being the Husbands of River Song. Season 4: There’s really not any dodgy episodes in this season, and Donna’s friendship with the doctor is one of my favourite dynamics in the show. The finale’s great, probably my 3rd favourite. And the genuine horror some of these episodes lean into is just great. Midnight and Turn Left genuinly scare me, but Silence in the Library and Forest of the Dead is an example of Moffat at his best. Not only does it tell a terrifying and clever narritive within itself, but Rivers introduction with her death shortly after was a great way to introduce a great character, and makes the whole episode entirely different once you see it her her point of view. I sobbed upon Rivers death when going back to rewatch once knowing who she is. Season 5: Season 5 only comes a smidge over season 8, as they’re both consistantly good with great character growth and some brilliant finales. 11 and 12 are also equally my favourite Doctors (I won’t choose, you can’t make me) and their respective first seasons are brilliant at introducing and establishing who they are and what makes them the doctor. Season 5 has more consistantly good episodes, the only mediocre one being Victory of the Daleks, but even that is pretty good compared to mediocre episodes from other seasons. I’m also not a huge fan of The Hungry Earth, but episodes like Time of the Angels, Vincent and the Doctor and Amy Choice are great, not to mention the 11th Hour which is such a huge step up from Davids painfully avarage introduction episode. I adore Amy and Rory, and Amy and the Doctors friendship works so well. The finale is brilliant too, its both very clever and very fun, bringing a great conclusion to a constantly enjoyable season. Season 8: Although the consistancy of episode quality isn’t as good as season 5, the Doctors arc of establishing hinself and genuinly asking the question “is he a good man” is just so compelling. He changes the most out of any doctor, and season 8 sets this up wondefully. Clara also moves away from being a simple plot device to being a well fleshed out character and companion, with a life outside of the doctor with a job as a teacher and a really sweet romance with Danny. She really gets her time to shine with the doctor here as well. I was never a fan of their slight romance in season 7, but its clear from Capaldis very first episode that they’ve totally moved away from that now and its simply a friendship. They’re hilarious together, making Clara one of my top 3 companions.Although there are certainly a few episodes that are a bit hit and miss, it’s generally a great series that does a good job of establishing the Doctor, his relationship with Clara, and the return of the Master in the wonderful plot twist that was Missy. Season 10: Speaking of Missy, she’s easily one of my favourite parts of season 10. Bill didn’t really work for me, I wasn’t actively annoued by her, but she was nowhere near as compelling as other companions. Although the finales and regeneration special were brilliant, they did a pretty poor job of wrapping up Bills character, which does somewhat let this series down. But it's best bit really does work, being Missy and her “redemption arc” throughout the season. Hy this point 12 has figiured out who he is and us trying to help Missy become a better person, and their growing friendship is so great to see. The finale is my all time favourite, having a wonderful climax with Missy quite litteraly backstabbing herself. It was such a terribly heartwrenching moment, as you knew she was just about to go back and help the doctor. Nardole is also great as a secondary companion, he constantly delivers hilarious lines and really helps to make the Tardis feel like a larger team like in Season 6 and 7A which is a vibe I really love. The season is only let down by a few avarage episodes like Oxygen and Empress of Mars. I didn’t love the Monks trilogy, as it felt oddly placed and kind of inturupted the flow of the season for me. Although the episodes themselves weren’t badly made, the plot for the trilogy felt overcomplicated and a little forced at times, especially the doctor keeping his blindness from Oxygen, which really just felt like a plot device at times. Season 1 Season 1 is a great way to restart the show, and I wouldn’t have jt any other way than with Eccleston as the Doctor. But generally I feel like this season gets a little too much love, as its mostly made up of fairly mediocre epsiodes with only a handful of standouts like The Lonely Child and Dalek. The finales very simple but very good, bringing a consice ending to the 9th doctor’s short but highly enjoyable run. Season 7: Although theres a few real standouts in this season like A Town Called Mercy, journey to the centre of the TARDIS, Nightmare in Silver, and of course The Angels Take Manhatten, it really gives the impression it didn’t know what it wanted to do as season. Seems as though there were a whole bunch of ideas floating around, and instead if picking just one they opted for all of them, leading to quite a disjointed and ultimatly messy narrative arc. Claras dynamic with the 11th doctor was one of my least favourites, even though Clara did go on to have one of my favourite pairings with the Capaldi. Their almost romantic feelings for each other always felt really uncomfy, and while neither of them were badly written they weren’t nearly as fun to watch as past companions. I also have a lot of issues with the Name of the Doctor. Throughout Smiths run, Moffat had been building to Trenzalore, and how Silence will fall when the question is asked. And although smiths finale does answer these questions, the finale feels messy and quickly written, like it was just there to tie up loose ends, and not even particularly satisfyingly at that. Im generally a fan of Moffat and his plots, but I feel he really dropped the ball with Smiths regeneration episode. Season 2: Not really much to say about this one. Although it doesn’t have any really bad episodes, it never reaches any spectacular highs, making it overall enjoyable but a little on the bland side. Unlike some people I enjoy Rose and the Doctors romantic dynamic, although I don’t think it should have been the focus as much as it sometimes was. Theres a few standouts here though, being Girl in the Fireplace and the Satan Pit. I did enjoyed almost every other episode, with the exception of Rise of the Cybermen, The Idiots Lantern, and Fear Her which was incredibly bad. Plus, the finale is once again sweet but simple, although I quite dislike it as an exit for Rose. Season 3 I generally quite dislike season 3, right up until the final 6 or so episodes which are somehow some of the best in Tennants run. The Lazuras Experiment, Gridlock and 42 are painfully avarage, with the Daleks in Manhatten two parter being downright awful. But Human Nature, Blink, Utopia, and the finale featuring the Master are simply brilliant, delivering great storg after greag story. Martha never really stuck with me as a favourite companion, although she did have some good moments, espicially in the finale.

When Series 6 came out it was my favorite. Storng episodes, i enjoyed the story arc. The final solution was, fine. Not great, but better than just scaling up the stake and bringing more daleks... Years later I was suprised to learn that it is considered one of the worse series by the internet people. But not like the critisism of the Doctor Who high mind made any sense ever And btw i 100% agree about s3. When i do a rerun i just watch Blink and skip the whole thing whatsoever

my ranking (without series 11-13 because i havent watched them in full yet, only a couple eps) 10. series 6 6/10 (the only series I have actually disliked out of these 10 is series 6, i absolutely love the other 9 and it feels awful to pick for #9. And even series 6 has a lot of episodes I like, the God Complex, Christmas Carol, Girl Who Waited, Doctors Wife are amazing, I just despise the overarching plot, the finale, and how Amy and Rory just have like no noticeable reaction to the River=Melody reveal) 9. series 7 7.5/10 (7A is an absolute rollercoaster. Attack of the Cubes is my personal least favourite episode in the revival although it did have funny 11 montage and Kate Stewart. Dinosaurs on a Spaceship is also objectively not a good episode but its so goofy and camp that I actually kinda enjoy it, also has David Bradley. I like Town Called Mercy and Angels Take Manhattan a lot, and I also like Oswin in Asylum of the Daleks. Im in the minority of liking 7B because i love the 11 and Clara chemistry, and Snowmen is possibly my favourite episode. I even like Crimson Horror, even though its a bad story, because of Diana Rigg and the Paternoster gang. Name of the Doctor is a story I really, really dont like though) 8. series 8 8/10 (I like this series a lot more than most, 12 and Clara are my fav doc and companion duo, and I really enjoy most of the stories in this series. But Kill the Moon and Forest of the Shite are really bad, and Robot of Sherwood is also just alright, and I also think the character of Danny was really underdeveloped (developing him was one of the few things Forest got right), but Flatline, Mummy on the Orient Express, Deep Breath, Listen, Time Heist, The Caretaker, Into The Dalek, and the finale two parter are all bangers) 7. series 3 8/10 (super solid series throughout, but mediocre episodes like Lazarus, 42 and the Dalek story which had so much unused potential to explore 30s New York and the themes of economic inequality, hold back the bangers like Human Nature, Blink. Also the deus ex in the finale where the doctor is basically jesus is goofy as hell) 6. series 2 8.5/10 (if it was a 10 episode series with L&M, fear her, idiots lantern cut it would be like 9.5/10 because the rest is just so amazing even though those three episodes are probably the worst in the pre-Chibnall revival) 5. series 5 8.5/10 (By far the best 11th doctor series, some absolutely magical fairytale episodes, The Silurian two parter by Chibnall lets this series down) 4. series 1 9/10 (2nd most underappreciated series, the 9 Rose Jack tardis team is fantastic and a lot of the episodes are underrated gems) 3. series 10 9.5/10 (Most underappreciated series in the revival, absolutely amazing, love twelve, bill, nardole and missy, and the best finale in the revival) 2. series 9 9.5/10 (i only dislike Girl Who Died/Woman Who Lived, I seem to be in the minority of people who like Sleep No More, and every other episode in the series is a banger. Also love Last Christmas a lot. ) 1. series 4 10/10 (every single episode is a banger)

Flux is underrated. Yes its incomprehensible but I thought it an exciting watch and the Weeping Angels episode is particularly good. Conversely I've never understood the love for series 10, its relentlessly dull imo and I didn't care much for either Nardole or Bill or the Missy story arc and I adored Missy in series 8 and 9. As some series are difficult to separate I've put them in a tier list: E tier : 11 - a complete bore fest D tier : 10 C tier : 8, 12, 7, 6 - all of these have a few great episodes mixed in with too many fillers and duds B tier : 3, 5, 13 A tier : 2 and 9 S tier : 4 and 1 - with 4 clear top. Such great chemistry between Donna and 10.

My series ranking: 12 Just no 13 Flux was interesting but honestly I just struggle to watch it. 11 The openers were good, the rest is just eugh. 3 I cannot stand martha, idk she just pisses me off. 2 Idk I just don’t like the first half at all, the second half was fun though. 9 I like most of the episodes here 10 I liked bill, thought she was fun; Capaldi does so well, and I loved the whole professor thing. 7 I think unfortunately his bad episodes drag this one so much, but I love the good ones so dann much. The only real fault I have is clara, but I don’t dislike her enough to pull it down further. 8 Flatlinnneeeeeee 5 I loved most of the episodes here, and matt smith always makes me laugh. 1 I love eccelston so much lmao the story arc is so impressive and I couldn’t be more grateful for it. 6 Idk why I enjoyed it so much but I genuinely do not dislike any of the episodes. Also I love Rory. 4 Literally amazing. If I had to rank 14’s group of episodes, i’d say between 8 and 7.

I find it very difficult to rank across eras because they're so different in style. How can I compare Series 2 to Flux or Series 6 to Series 11? Thus, I'm going to give a segmented ranking that also shows my era preferences. *15 - Series 7 (+ 2013 Specials; grouping them because they follow the same theme)* - There are a lot of moments to enjoy, but on the whole, I think the production was clearly rushed at times, so a lot of the scripts feel like they needed more drafts, and some great concepts just end up feeling lacklustre. It definitely has the weakest episodes of the modern series IMO. But, when it's good, I like it more than Series 5 and 6. The production design took a lovely step up, and Amy and Rory are written and performed much more naturally imo. 👌 *14 - Series 10* - Similar to Series 7, there are only a couple of episodes that really stand out to me. I like 'Smile' and I love 'World Enough and Time'. The rest is mediocre for me. I'm glad a lot of people seem to love it, but the intended soft reboot feel makes it lose the momentum and gravitas that I loved so much about Series 9 (partly in the story, and partly in the Doctor-companion dynamic). And that makes sense after the events of Series 9. I'm just less hyped about it. Plus there are ideas I wish had been developed as there's a lot of potential in the character arcs of Bill and Missy which it doesn't really explore. BUT I still find it more consistently solid than Series 7. *13 - Series 6* - If we were separating the halves, Part 1 would be a lot higher, and Part 2 lower. I love the way the story arc is developed over the course of 'The Impossible Astronaut' - 'The Almost People'. However, when the show gets into the meat of the concepts, it doesn't seem to know what to do with them, so handwaves a lot of it away. It's a shame, but I still just want to acknowledge how much I love those early episodes. *12 - Series 8* - A big old mixture of pros and cons for me; I don't mean to sound so cynical in this, but it's a ranking, so I'm talking about why the lower ones are lower. I love the way Clara is developed, along with their relationship to the Twelfth Doctor. However, there are problems that actively annoy me about most episodes, and some of the character writing is equally obnoxious (e.g. Danny Pink being used as a mouthpiece for the themes of the series; or the Doctor and Clara generally not being very likeable at times - which I know is the point, it just becomes a turn-off when I'm thinking about personal preference of series). *11 - Series 5* - Very strong individual story writing. There isn't a 'bad' episode of the bunch. But the story arc is wildly inconsistent, and I don't particularly like the way Amy and Rory are written. *10 - Series 9* - Strangely, I would say this is weaker than other series in some ways. There are definitely things I like about Series 5 and 8 more. But I love the way the Doctor is written, and as I mentioned earlier, the grandiosity of the story, and the tone - It reminds me of Series 3 in that it has a very obvious style that complements the themes. Also, I tend to prefer 2-parters when it comes to ranking stories, so obviously that worked in Series 9's favour (though I wouldn't want every series to do this, I appreciated the change, and it worked really well for the Doctor and Clara's story at that point in time). *9 - The 2022 Specials* - I don't really think of this as a series but I've mentioned the other multi-special stories, so I'll mention this one. I'm not a big fan of any of these episodes. 'Resolution' is good but not great, 'Legend of the Sea Devils' is awful (the only bad historical episodes of the era imo), and 'The Power of the Doctor' is messy but a lot of fun. It's a decent whole, but talking about it as a series, the only plot thread is the Doctor and Yaz and that feels too little too late. *8 - Series 11* - It probably has a reputation for being the least memorable, and I see why as it's very low-key. However, I love that about it. I really appreciate that it doesn't feel the need to insert the classic villains that we'd become very tired of by that point. I really respect the spotlighting of bold or underrepresented stories in history. Series 11 set a precedent for this era to use historical episodes as character pieces, and it does them phenomenally. There are some episodes that I don't love, but that's standard for basically any TV series, and none of the less good episodes here are nearly my least favourites of the show. The reason I rank this lower than other series though is that I do wish it did more with its character arcs, namely Yaz. *7 - Series 12* - A step up from Series 11, in quality and scale. It reminds me of the jump from Series 5 to 6, or 8 to 9. The tone shifts, the stories become more dramatic, and there's a greater ambition on the part of the writers. Ironically, I would say Series 12's weakest episodes are considerably worse than those of Series 11, but its highlights are even shinier gems. Like Series 6 though, I wish it ran consistently with its arc, instead of bringing it up and then ignoring it for a few episodes as this show loves to do. Don't save all of your arc information for specific episodes; if you have big ideas for a story, tell it over the 10 episodes you have (a message for all showrunners)! *6 - Flux* - It had so much to deal with due to COVID-19, so is understandably messy in places. And yet, it's still amazing. I absolutely loved it. I understand some people not liking the writing approach of consistently keeping the audience in the dark while throwing more ideas at them, and there does come a limit where I, too, think "okay, that's enough, please answer some of these questions now" (in this case, when Bell was introduced in Episode 3). But, on the whole, I loved the scale and ambition; you can see a trend of me appreciating the series that try something different. And I thoroughly enjoy every episode (except 3.. sorry, 3). *5 - The 2008 - 2010 Specials* - I consider this a series in its own right, seeing as it's 5 episodes and follows a theme. And I'm a fan of what it does. I would say it's comprised of the weaker half of RTD Specials ('The Waters of Mars' aside), but again, it's a case of it trying something different, and I think having a few big episodes at the end of the Tenth Doctor's run made a lot of sense for where the character was in their story at that point. We take that approach as a given now as every Doctor since has ended on a Special, but this is where that started. *4 - Series 4* - I completely see why it's generally the best received series along with 5. It's another series with stand-out after stand-out episode. Its placement here is a combination of me feeling less nostalgic, and the fact that it lacks the strong tone that I enjoy in Series 3. *3 - Series 3* - That tone that I keep mentioning... It's such an orange and brown series with a lot of melancholy, a lot of pensiveness, and the most the series addresses the idea of the Doctor being alone in the world. I can appreciate not everyone loving Martha being treated as a rebound, and I'd definitely be interested in a version of this series where Martha's story isn't so tied to someone else. However, I get what RTD is doing and appreciate it for the character story of this incarnation. *2 - Series 1* - The only series that I think feels somewhat dated at this point, but I am blindly nostalgic so... sue me. It was awesome for its time, getting so many kids into this show (and have it feel scary and dramatic) that had become laughable by the end of the 1980s. I love the interpretation of the Doctor, the idea of the Time War, and Rose as a relatable youth even today (I say as someone who has since gone through and seen everyone I know go through the "what am I doing with my life" late teens/early 20s period). Side Note: I also love Rose's relationship with the Ninth Doctor (I'm not sure I have a preference between the two), but there's most definitely romantic intent there. It's not as developed as it is by the time the Doctor returns post-regenerarion, but the writers are clearly playing with the idea, and developing it to that point. *1 - Series 2* - I will never understand why this series doesn't get more love, or rather, is one of the most disliked. Am I simply nostalgic? I love virtually every episode, and those that are weaker, are faaaar from the worst this show has to offer. Sarah Jane, K-9, Krillitane (led by Anthony Head), Clockwork Robots, Cybermen, Ood, the freakin' Devil, the Cult of Skaro... It's stellar!

My top : 13. Series 13 - Not watched 12. Series 11 - Historical episodes are great but the rest is… 11. Series 12 - Hype but poor rewatched value and the Timeless Child… 10. Series 2 - The Pompadour story is great but the rest is basic for me 9. Series 7 - Epic stand alone and epic Doctor Trilogy episodes - Name.Day.Time 8. Series 10 - I see why it should be in the top 3 but i just dont connect 7. Series 3 - Great Mr Smith story and Finale but I dont connect same as the above series 6. Series 1 - Great 5. Series 8 - Underrated so much 4. Series 6 - So particular. It is its own thing 3. Series 4 - Nearly everything is Amazing 2. Series 5 - The Fairy tale Doctor who 1. Series 9 - For me. Everything is perfect. Doc vs Davros. One of the best timetravel one shot story with the under the lake. The Maisie williams is good for me. The Zygons story is amazing, its secret invasion before secret invasion. Sleep no more is experimental and i like it to be fair. The trilogy Finale is Perfect. Raven is a great prologue. Heaven Sent is the Perfect Doctor story. Hell Bent is Amazing for me, its just not what people expect for the return to Galifrey. But this is in line with the Doctor. He runs for Galifrey, and the only concern here is Clara. It is a character driven love letter trilogy story for the Doctor and Clara.

My ranking would have to be: Love: 1. Series 9 (I love the arc and most episodes, except Sleep No More. I also love Hell Bent) 2. Series 6 (This is probably my favourite series arc, 6b is weaker, but I love River as a character so I don’t mind the weaker stories) 3. Series 5 (Probably the most consistent series, only Victory of the Daleks is a disappointment) Like: 4. Series 3 (Although I think Last of the Time Lords is horrendous, there’s lots of standout episodes here) 5. Series 10 (It dips after Extremis, but I like Bill and Missy’s arc, and the finale is fantastic) 6. Series 4 (It would be higher but I really dislike The Doctor’s Daughter and The Stolen Earth/Journey’s End, Donna’s exit and the series arc in general, RTD made some big mistakes here) 7. Series 8 (A great character study with a great story in Listen, but some awful episodes like Kill the Moon) Average: 8. Series 11 (I love The Witchfinders and It Takes You Away but the characters are just a bit bland, and the finale is awful) 9. Series 7 (I love Amy and Rory’s exit, but some individual episodes let it down overall) 10. Series 1 (I don’t get the love for this one, I find most of it painfully average, and it’s got another bad RTD finale) Dislike: 11. Series 13 (The series arc is a mess, but Once, Upon Time and Village of the Angels are standouts, Yaz also gets more to do) 12. Series 2 (It’s got the only good RTD finale and The Girl in the Fireplace, but it’s also got the worst episodes of the revival) 13. Series 12 (This feels like another bad RTD series, it really doesn’t feel like it belongs in the Chibnall era, the arc is a mess like series 4, it’s use of the Master is somehow worse than Last of the Time Lords, and we get a pointless Captain Jack appearance like in series 3, I only really like The Haunting of Villa Diodati)

Putting series 1 below series 3 is genuinely mental, half of series 3 is mid, nearly all of series 1 is amazing

I think that's a pretty good list. While mine would be exactly the same, it's close. And you're right, Series 4, with Donna, absolute best.

The Timeless Child storyline is a disgrace and deatroyed Doctor Who lore and previous Doctors. It's a shame that RTD ruined the Doctor Donna storyline with the 60th anniversary dross.

Topped out by those awful early years? I couldn't even complete a rewatch of series 1. The cringe of farting aliens. I mean everyone has opinions... some of them are wrong though ;)

Good video! But series 10 is not top tier, bill is very annoying, we kinda saw missy start to befriend the doctor until she meets herself again, but then stabs herself in the back? The ending episodes are good like twice upon a time but the beginning episodes are so bad imo

That didn't kill it. If a lot of other things (specially from Classic Who) didn't kill it back then, this couldn't kill it either. The timeless child don't change practically anything of the core of the series or the dinamic of it. Even if it is a bad idea, it don't change anything really. If they ignore it, it really doesn't matter at all.
