The actress who played the TARDIS is great... she's been the lead/co-lead in several of her own hit shows... Check out Doctor Foster Save Me Gentleman Jack Coming soon: Vigil She deserves to be really well known in the states. Everyone in the UK loves her.

Suranne Jones, who played Idris/Human TARDIS in this episode, is one of our most well-loved actresses in the UK. She's brilliant and has had an extensive acting career so far, including Doctor Foster and Gentleman Jack. Her first major role was as Karen Phillips (later McDonald) in Coronation Street, which is our longest-running TV soap opera in the UK. She was in Coronation Street from about 2000/2001 to 2004. Karen was mental as a character, so playing a human carnation of the TARDIS would have been second nature for Suranne. :')

What makes this story even more heartwarming is this: in the original script, the line "I love you" was meant to be "I forgive you" implying the TARDIS understands the Doctor had no other option in the Time War and she forgives him, even if he can't forgive himself, for what he did.

Great reaction, this is my 6th favorite Who episode ever, it is just so sad and delightful as well, and Suranne Jones was just so freaking perfect as TARDIS(Idris)
