A re-made opening to Remembrance of the Daleks: I've always loved this scene but I wanted to do play with it to do something special with the globe of the Earth! It did entail remaking the BBC COW ident in HD... How you like it!
That transition from the globe to the earth in space was so well done. Only criticism I'd give, and others have said this, but the shot of the dalek at the end feels a little too comical. But really nice work
Very good, though I’d slow down the earths spin a little, it looks like an infant has gotten hold of a globe and is spinning it to within an inch of its life!
Really brilliant piece of work to what was already a really good opening sequence to a really enjoyable story of a (moderately) good season - well, you can't overlook Silver Nemesis, can you? Well done - and I did very much appreciate the Davros reference. Now go and enjoying lots and lots of rice pudding, why don't you;)
Many years ago I was fortunate enough to have a VHS 📼 of the 71 edits for this story sent to me and I know that the extra scenes have since been included on the various DVD 📀 releases over the years so it's not as special now to have seen the early edits as it was in the early 1990's. However something that I found interesting at the time is that the various samples of audio quotes and sounds used in the early edit on part 1 are different to that used on the broadcast version, plus this has not been highlighted on the official DVD extras as part of the Deleted/alternative scenes package!
Yeah , l have seen the original, this one is by far the best one ...... One problem..... I have gotten to know the English speaking words but the rest is all a mystery to me only wish l have 100% hearing which I don't have sadly 😢😢😮😮
Hi guys l am a little Hearing impaired , can anyone tell me the words at Beginning as the Dalek ship approaches Earth , l thought the remake was Bloody Good , many thanks for that !
They're not meant to be completely intelligible, it's basically just a mash up of famous historical speeches. At the beginning, before the voices start talking over each other, it says 'Our most basic common link is that we all inhabit this small planet. We all breathe the same air. We all cherish our children's future...'
