Long time coming. 4th Doctor is going through quite the resurgence and is the GREATEST of them all. Also looking forward to the Genesis/Destiny Dalek sets in 2022.
Wow what a great set and a massive improvement. I'll be definitely getting this set. What amazing figures we have had this year and can not wait to see what 2022 has to offer! :)
Bought my set this morning, amazing edition to my Doctor Who collection. Sadly, my local B&M Bargains hasn't had the 1st Doctor and TARDIS, Earthshock and The Five Doctors sets in yet, but fingers crossed they will 🤞
This set is gorgeous and cant wait to it!!! Oddly Uncle Al says the head is the Zygons head but with his hat…I thought it was the Seeds of Doom one, glad to see it confirmed here, wonder what he was thinking of…next year figure maybe??? :-) Also bravo on the cravat (which I was calling a neck tie in my ignorance! ) - this was the single biggest pet peeve of mine with this figure, hated the mono mint green they chose for the tie in the mainstream release especially as the prototype pics clearly depicted the cravat painted correctly. Odd about K1’s joints but I figure a few discreet dabs of hot glue can stiffen those up! :-) Dislike the trademark stamp on his bum, wonder if that can be swapped with an original or if the silver is too drastically different…then again, probably wont be looking at his bum much so probably doesnt matter. :-) Finally, LOVE the screen accurate metallic maroon shoulder stripes and especially the different size pincers!!! Truly awesome set and cannot wait to get it!!!! This is one where Character have outdone themselves, and have to say the line the past couple of years has been as good as the heyday of the line, or very close to it, and have been extremely pleased!!! Here’s hoping RTD manages to work a miracle and bring us a 2nd Golden Age of Doctor Who as well as something as awesome as Sarah Jane Adv as something that actually lives up tp the potential Torchwood had (okay, Children of Earth was amazing) and more we cant even imagine, and that the Figure line also reaches the heights it once did or better!!!
Wow! Super happy to see this get a re-release! I had to sell my original figure years ago and have always regretted it so getting this set will be great! Really disappointed to see that it's joints are a lot looser than the original figure...that's a pain. But good to see the small improvements and accuracy changes otherwise! Great review!
The mesh Michael Kilgarriff looks through is silver rather than black and they got this right with the first release but wrong on this one... bugger...
4:24 The Transformers "carrobots/TF 2000" series from 2000 had the three 'autobot brothers' who, when brought to the states for "robots in disguise", were released and repainted so many times, the molds got deformed (even the 2003 con exclusive sister pack of Roulette and Shadow Striker had this problem, too), and some of the parts were either warped or bloated...and the joints did not fit too well.....could this be the case as well?
Try homesavers. Thats the irish equivalent qnd I notice alot of classic Dr who sets in the closest one to me. I recently got the day of the dalek set. So hopefully this set will be in it in the new year!
The legal writing on his backside ruins it , also the dark bit under his mouth isnt correct, it has a nice finish but the original wins in my opinion, if only they put the legal writing under his big feet..
Love the 4th doctor figure, but im really annoyed the the K1 Robot is loose and cheep. It's unacceptable and somebody should speak out about it. It could just be yours, but still that's not very fair on you have a wonkey robot. Still for £20 I suppose you can't argue.
