Doctor Who S2 E10 - Love & Monsters | REACTION - Almost cried on this one... 

YES u uploaded im all ways hyped for a doctor who reaction, although im not sure where this will go

A great underrated episode... as people will say, the monster was the creation of a kids "design and name a monster" competition on a kids tv show called blue peter, and so its a bit rubbish... also, the oral sex joke at the end is a bit misplaced...those aside, its a great lesson in character development and mood... you really care about the characters after only a few minutes... also, the team are supposed to reflect the shows fandom apparently....

I like several aspects of this episode but the episode as a whole just never completely landed for me. Not much of a fan of the Absorbaloff ( sorry, kid😂), but I think despite that I always enjoy the characters and that’s what saved it for me. It was a nice break from the usual formula, and I wouldn’t mind if Elton made a return someday. I also enjoy it for the bits of first person perspective we get when he’s recalling the first night he met him. That scene where he’s starring down the camera and it makes us feel like we are the size of a child. It’s the only time I’ve truly felt like I was interacting with the Doctor. Like I was a character, and a part of this world. For a moment I was Elton. The companions are often supposed to be that stand in, but with everything shot in third person most of the time it’s hard to truly do that. With this episode though, it was an audience perspective and even though it was only a scene I loved getting a taste of that and wished it could have been done a lot more.
