Doctor Who - Season 18 - Logopolis Film Trims 

The saddest thing for me is (IIRC) this was shot at Barnett's Bypass. I believe it was the location of the last fully functional MKII Metropolitan Police Box in its original location, (phone connected and everything), and it was intended to use the actual Police Box in the filming at this location. However, the Metropolitan Police decided at that moment that it was "a relic of an out-dated communication system" and demolished it (actual Police Boxes are made of concrete). A former TARDIS prop was dressed to look more like an actual Police Box for use in the Barnetts Bypass location filming, as seen here.

God the Tardis's (Tardises? Tardi???) look so rickety I love it! This also my favourite police box design with the box holding up the roof lamp and blue signs.

I love this video, and how the camera pans closer to the PPCB prop, as if to say that is where the TARDIS is hopping to. 🙂

is it currently known why the film inserts for the entire 1982 series(Season 19) were kept? was it just a bit of serendipity or did they have a preservation order on them in case they were ever needed again?

This type 40 is looking very shaky.
