Matt is overrated? That's talking bollocks. Ten's era was full of chav actors and bad effects. And just cause he looks cool in his duster coat everyone thinks he's the best. Matt had the perfect personality to fit the doctor. As much as I love ten, he's overrated as fuck. Simply because all these new generation fans came around when tennent was in charge. And usually your first doctor is your fav. That's why all these fanboys and fangirls overrate him too much.
i dont know why, it might have been that he was the first doctor i watched for real, but matt smith's face just seems so nostalgic ngl (especially in victory of the daleks)
Honestly if it weren't for Matt Smith and Karen Gillen playing my favourite Doctor and my second favourite companion, I probably would've hated Season 5.
JohnnyDisney Yeah the opening episode was pretty good. I didn't like the finale though, it felt like a trainwreck. I thought season 6 had a much better running plot and finale, but that's just me.
alexf02071999 wow thats an unpopular opinion. i like both series very much including the series 6 finale wedding of river song, but i still think pandorica opens/big bang has the better quality of writing AND pacing (i would even say it is under my top 10 who stories of all time)

@@Super-bu5gi completely agree. 4 is the best season (so far) My personal order (from worst to best): 11, 2, 12, 7b, 8, 7a, 1 (unsure whether to put this lower as I personally find this season a bit of a slog to get through. The only major standout episodes being the empty child 2 parter, Rose and the finale) 9, 6, 10, 5, 3, 4 I put season 7 into 2 parts as I personally count them as 2 shorter seasons due to the whole companion change over etc. And I enjoy 7a much more than 7b. But yeah, those are my thoughts on the seasons. Honestly though. The only season I truly HATE is 11. As that was just so boring all throughout. 12 was leagues better but not quite there to be considered truly good. Either way! What're your thoughts on the list? As I'm intrigued to see what other people think of my rankings. As I know there's probably some controversial takes. Oh and I was measuring by how much of the season I enjoyed. And not on a whole episode by episode well thought out comparison thing,unsure whether I mentioned that before.

Hard to believe the eleventh hour is ten years old tomorrow. that both warms my heart but makes me feel old at the same time, like this comment if, like me you will be watching the eleventh hour tomorrow at the exact time that this episode aired, that long ten years ago. Looking back on this is just so nostalgic,i may have liked tennant and his era more but this was my introduction to doctor who,it's just a shame that series 6 and 7 weren't as great as this one.
I disagree. I thought series 6 was amazing even if the episodes were not that great and I thought series 7 was great too. I always thought this era was better than RTD and Tennant one. I liked the doctors assistants Amy and Clara better than Rose and Martha Jones and the storyline were better and they went into space alot more than they did in RTD and Tennant era.

i started to watch all the series a few months ago I've come to love the 10th doctor and like one of the companions i find it hard to appreciate this whole new one, should i still watch it though??
This show is one of those you either don't care for it or love it to bits shows. A Like 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' or something. What kind of shows do you usually like?
I preferred series 5 to 6. There were good stories in series 6 but the frustration over wait for the season arc to resolve itself became way to big and spoiled it for me. The story became bigger than the programme itself. I just want to sit down and watch a nice episode, not have to wait over 6 months to final learn what really happened right at the beginning!!! And the whole River thing... everyone was talking about it so much and it all turned out to be the most obvious answer

nah personally i thought they just completely screwed up season 6 (except for the Doctor's Wife episode, best on ever) but imo it was because Moffat messed up. Smith still did a fantastic job
I huge fan of Russell Davies Era and David Tennant is the Docteur to me so don't get me wrong but "the writers never refer to the doctor mentioning rose or martha or donna" is not true. Take a look on series six: episode 8 : let's kill hitler;(give me someone i like) episode 11 the god complex and especially episode 13: the wedding of River Song(helping Rose with his homework; Jack), remind you something?

No Series 5 was the best followed by Series 6 IMHO They were dark and although they didn't always hit the mark they went out of their way to do things they've never done before
