An update of my tardis control room, computer room. :-) ( yes I have a Tardis outside in my yard. To see step by step pictures go to thetodd.design/...
Astonishing. This is as good as if not better than many of the TARDIS from the series over the years. I love the combo of steam punk and wood with hi-tech elements like the blue glowing keyboard and flat screens, sort of valves and chips, it feels right for a TARDIS does that, bits from every time and place in the universe combined. I also thought the centre tower looked awesome, very old skool yet cool, and were those marbles I spotted, used as indicator lights? Marvellous.
Fantastic! I did notice the cut but only after going back to find it. Very clever & well done a superb TARDIS on the outside and an amazing console room.
My jaw dropped open and stayed open. It was very uncomfortable. I am in absolute awe! Makes me tear up seeing it in "real life". Thank you for sharing this with the world!
Wow! This is the coolest thing haha, I was confused though when you walked back out the doors and were in your house, I had to rewind to the start. But now I see you did a cut in editing haha, very nice, I actually didn't notice the cut, so excellent job on the editing! Also this, I can't say enough is so awesome man! Just wondering how long it took to make it? And how much roughly did you spend on the parts for the interior? Anyways, great video, you are a genius! The Doctor would be proud (^-^/)
+BronyBurningAxe The interior didn't cost as much as people think. It was more time consuming than cost. :-) The most expensive thing ( minus the 2 desktop computers) was the motor for the time rotor. The console is just plywood and MDF. WOW, nice job! That, is impressive. Love the "Flux Capacitor". I wasn't expecting to see that in there but hey, nice touch. Great way to reference or pay homage to "Back to the Future". Fantastic work!! My ONLY critique if I HAD to give one would be (and I hate to even say it but), it needs "more levers". :) It needs a BIG lever or two or something that you pull back on Just my opinion. Maybe it/they are there and I just didn't see it. My apologies if it's there. Or, maybe you were going for a certain Doctor's layout which didn't incorporate those things. Great job! You could sell that for a fortune if you ever wanted to. People would line up to pay to have you build one for them. You could name your price. Work of Art! Ok, I'm done now.
if anyone is reading this in 2024, I need to see another view of this tardis this is the coolest thing ever Todd please make another video on this tardis
That's awesome dude! The amount of effort that you put into it! *Subbed* *EDIT* I just noticed that flux capacitor on the console, an odd little detail but i love it :P
+ahunter8056 Not as much as you would think. It's more Led's and little control circuits. The whole room is controlled by a raspberry pi. The most expensive thing was the motor for the time rotor.
the "round thingies" are a quote from the 10th doctor in the day of the doctor when he saw the war doctors tardis and on the walls were a round kind of design like in your tardis. BTW great build! I subscribed!
I agree! A console like that and you're set. You don't have to worry about looks because The Doctor regenerates. If you ARE The Doctor that is... Could be a different time lord with a TARDIS. :)
Not including the 2 normal desktop computers or projector in it. the lights and middle are controlled by a raspberry pi. about 850.00 including the room.
This is AMAZING! I’m trying to make my own! I see you have a Raspberry Pi and a Windows 10 computer, very nice.😏 I was wondering how many GPIO ports you used on the RPI, as I’m struggling with that. Also, SO. MANY. LIGHTS!
This is absolutely beautiful!!! Where were you able to find the plexiglas cylinder for the center of the console? And what are its exact dimensions...PLEASE!!
