"You do not question, you move!! Sullivan, take her and run!"" Love that moment of her showing exactly why she's in charge. Also love that mixed with the authority in her voice there's that little tremble of fear, trying to hold it together in the face of something that even has the Doctor terrified.
Such a brilliant episode. Not 100% perfect but it was lovely to have show back on form after the previous week’s debacle. One of the best episodes in this series. Mel is absolutely fantastic and has redeem herself. I might even watch her old episodes with a new found fondness. ❤
I can't help but get stuck on wondering three things about this reveal (as epic a reveal it is it gives me shivers every time)... 1) what did Harbinger mean, "he whispered to the vessel, he whispered and delighted and seduced and the vessel did obey"? >> should we be worried about the TARDIS still? 2) Harbinger also says "And standing on high is the mother and father and other of them all" who is the mother, the father and more importantly, who's the other? I don't think its sutekh as we still don't know who "the boss" is. Or how Rogue is connected to it. 3) The TV says "I am returning" but technically Sutekh was already there, manifesting through Susan. >> so who is yet to come?
In the Titan Comics TennantB (Journeys End-The End Of Time) Doctor run, he goes up against Sutekh and it's revealed that Sutekh was able to escape the Time Corridor fate from Pyramids Of Mars, though was trapped in The Void as a result of escaping "sideways" and Sutekh used his son Anubis to escape. Later the TennantB Doctor stopped him, then let Anubis be a companion along side Gabby & Cindy. So could borrow from that + from Big Finish's Neverland/Zagreus with TARDIS turning evil, and say: Sutekh was able to use the house TARDIS from Revolution Of The Daleks to escape The Void; then used that TARDIS to latch onto the Doctors TARDIS via Eye Of Harmony or something; and possess it and/or have the TARDIS try to resist (leading to the groaning from Wild Blue Yonder onwards and it redecorating from the Chibnall era console to the RTD2 design- like beyond a melted world cup on the controls, had no reason to change in universe unlike say RTD1 to Moffat or late stage Moffat to Chibnall). Or since it was TARDIS Tech that banished Sutekh to the Time Corridor, that allowed Sutekh to latch onto The TARDIS and escape Or being at the edge of the Universe while TARDIS was out of control let Sutekh out and since it was tech from the TARDIS that banished him to the time corridor, enabled him to bind to the TARDIS while on the ship, and over the course of New S1/Revival S14/S40 get strong enough again to manifest as well as have his Harbinger and influence events across time and space via the TARDIS (Triad Tech + having Susan Triad all over the place) Or "the vessel obeying" will be about the memory TARDIS or an entirely different explanation entirely and come next Friday/Saturday I'll look silly (leaning to this one being most likely to be honest)
