Following the introduction of the glorious Sacha Dhawan I decided to remake my Master tribute.

I haven't included James Dreyfus until I find some footage I suitably represent his incarnation of The Master.

I’m going to assume Dhawan Master reverted back to his old ways because they felt abandoned by the Doctor, again. Missy was alone, dying on the space station. Hoping her best friend would save her. As she was dying alone, she realized that he wasn’t coming. And her changing was all for nothing. Simms likely lied saying she wouldn’t regenerate because one thing we know is that he can’t kill himself. So when She became Dwahan, he represented her anger, the rage and betrayal that he best friend tries to save the universe, but can never seem to save him

Almost. Missy used a forbidden technique to survive, it changed the DNA structure of her Missy body but did not give her an entire new one. She went by The Lumiat for a few years and stopped her own plans as Missy causing the Missy from before Season 8 to go in and see what was happening. Lumiat tried to change her past and make Missy side with the Doctor but Missy managed to backstab Lumiat, make her get mad again and have her regenerate.

Seems only right, the only down side is I think Missy's demise provided a better narrative end in the last version. Love Sacha tho and it's only right The Master returns as always

No one touched Delgado. Such a fantastic, maleficent presence and peerless delivery. I remember as kids we all loved when he made an appearance. He upped the threat level no end and we knew a great story was on the cards. A superb actor. He was made for that role above anybody else. He made it his own. Impossible to follow. A tragic loss.

I keep coming back to this video because it's dope as hell. I love that moment in NuWho, when Yana regains his memories of being The Master, and you see the look in his eyes start to change. I love that so much. And say what you will about Seasons 11 & 12, but Sacha Dhawan absolutely killed it as the Master. I love his portrayal. It's great. Just like everyone else's.

Adding Sacha into the mix makes for an even better tribute. And to end on "how else would I get your attention?".. amazing! Also paired with the fact that the Master is probably my favourite character after the Doctor. No matter who plays them tbh, well maybe with the exception of Eric Roberts but that was hardly the Master..

Yeah, I agree with Elizabeth Moore. Admittedly, acting-wise, he's definitely finding his feet in the River Song story he's in, like he's just getting used to a new medium. But he's absolutely fantastic in Day of the Master, both against McGann's Doctor and with the other Masters. He's more confident and more defined, taking everything that worked in the TV movie and refining it.

I think the Master going back to his old ways after his discovery about the timeless child makes so much sense, if you remember The Mind of Evil his fear was the Doctor looking down on him and laughing aka him being less than the doctor.

In my opinion John Simm's is the best master of the modern era with Michelle coming in a close second but Sacha has still got to prove himself he's made a great impact at the moment and is a great chaotic counterbalance to the doctor's pacifist chaotic neutral.

LENNY! Nice, for me Michelle takes the number one spot, I feel her Master/Missy have proved what made the Master at best in core while I feel like Simm just become more of the Joker( my opinion!) while I havent seen much of Sacha yet BUT it’s nice to see the Tissue Compression Eliminator back in action as it was real gimmick back in the Classic era! How no one can top Delgado!!

I didn't think anyone could surpass Gomez as my favorite, but Dhawan did. Despite the writing crap show, he was just so fantastically evil, mad as a hatter. Missy's redemption arc was endearing, but something about the Master just being so bat shit insane makes me squeal and clap just like Dhawan did in his reveal!

Lovely trailer. Absolutely thrilled to see and hear Sacha alongside his predecessors. FYI, I saw in the description that you are thinking of including James Dreyfus in your next Master trailer. Please don't. Dreyfus is an outright transphobe and his presence in videos such as this would be really upsetting to many trans fans. Apart from that, keep up the good work my friend :)
