This is why the Master is The Doctor's archenemy. He/She is the only one that truly knows the Doctor. The Daleks may make the Doctor angry, but that is all they know how to do. The Master is the one that really pushes the Doctor to the edge because they know how to make the Doctor question their identity.
I think the master is the only one who truly cares about the doctor no matter what. Yeah they try to kill each other but thats just their language. The master revealed that the doctor wasn't who they thought they were but also knew the doctor had to come to that conclusion themselves otherwise they wouldn't believe it. And from my understanding, friends to the timelords is a lot more intimate then what humans conceive friends to be.
I love the relationship between The Doctor and The Master. In my opinion it's the best relationship in the show because they're beyond friends, beyond romance, beyond enemies. They're so similar, just cracked reflections of each other, and I loved the finale for revealing that The Master destroyed Gallifrey because he couldn't stand that he is who he is because of The Doctor. Each combination of Doctor and Master has a different dynamic and I'm glad you gave each a chance to shine!
He destroyed the citadel as he needed the Time Lord bodies to create his race of Time-Cyber-Lords. He used the destruction and mind games to bring down the Doctor. He failed. But his plan B, to have her locked up by the Judoon succeeded.
Yes! I was waiting for this since the finale. Brilliantly done and sums up their relationship perfectly. You incorporated the finale beautifully. Honestly think Dhawan could be one of the best actors we've had on Doctor Who, haven't loved all of series 12 but he's done amazingly.
how can people ship the Master with the Doctor after everything he/she has done to him/her? That would be a really toxic relationship. It's like shipping Batman and Joker.
I dunno, I think Geoffrey Beevers had a bigger existential crisis in the audios, I mean he was faced with the fact that he might literally be fated to be evil and will fail no matter what he does.
What if the doctor and the master is the same person. The doctor erases the masters memory and gives the master the name doctor as a way of redeeming and healing from the damage
Yes! I was waiting for your video! :D Have to say, I've enjoyed it, great work as always. Have to say, I really loved Master as Missy, but at the same time, Sacha's Master is amazing as well. Guess it's kinda like the thing with the Doctor - such powerful characters, and every actor gives a bit of themselves to the role to improve the character even further. I love them no matter who the actor is. :)
I miss missy so muchhhhh I really hope the new master was before her or something. I really want to see her again! She was brilliant. My favourite character ever
The season finale had me shook, and I was waiting for a video your make for it, as always you never didapppoint. The doctor and the master always bring such intense feelings...just, ugh, the feels 🖤🖤😭👏
I wonder if the Master wasn't the child she was playing with by the cliff and wasn't used as a test subject by Tecteun as well to see if the ability to could be transferred before trying it on herself. But I think a more tantalizing possibility to what if something happened to him and the Doctor begged Tecteun to give him the ability to regenerate and no one bothered to put a limit on them.
The child/children was a creation of the Master. There are three scenes from three visions which take place at the same cliff, Ireland and Galifrey. Clearly not possible.
Personally I think the doctor and the master are the same person. I think at the end of the show the master will ask the doctor to fix him and the conclusion they come up with is to erase his memory and give him the title doctor this meaning the doctors job is to heal the damage he has caused
I've just understand why Master did what he did in the last Thirteen's episode. He/she always tried to push the Doctor on his level, "I want you to see we're not so different". He wanted Doctor to become like him. And in the last episode, after all this time, he tried to make himself the Doctor. And... This is really deep thing, especially for Chibnell's writing. Missy was the one who tried to wanish this difference through becoming like the Doctor, but she did it the right way - redemption. And in the last Thirteen's episode Sasha's Master looks like he is soo tired of all his tries. He went mad so much, that he literally splits himself into the Doctor. And in the end he always wanted only one: to be close to the Doctor. And he couldn't, because he can't overcome his inclinations. Pure tragedy.
The master for centuries has hated the doctor wanting revenge against her but now the master has brought the doctor to her lowest point so now we understand why the master hates the doctor because a piece of the doctor is in the master which makes him burning with rage😎👻
The same cliff used three times in three different visions. The Master had limited ability to create these visions. He could only give the Jo Doctor a police box TARDIS as he had no other images to call upon.
i've never shipped the doctor and the master before (nor have i ever really cared for the master aside from their camp value lol) but sacha dhawan brings such a fresh, new level of depth to the character and his chemistry with jodie whattaker is insane. it's interesting, because my doctor who otp is eleven/river and i'm realizing watching this video and hearing the line "all i am is somehow because of you" that the dhawan master and thirteen have quite a similar dynamic. the doctor shaped both characters with their very essence, and all those scenes where river expressed resentment towards the doctor for making her who she is whether she liked it or not really take on a new meaning now.
I kind of think that the master didn't destory The time Lords because he was lied to, I think he did it because of the Doctor because of the torture the doctor was subjected to but he knew the doctor would blame herself if he revealed the truth so he lied, he said he destroyed gallifrey because he was lied to. His destroying gallifrey was basically his love letter to the Doctor
Absolutely marvellous!! My hearts ❤️❤️ I was disappointed by the finale but not by these two in particular. They made the episode and this video shows exactly why!
Как же великолепно ты раскрыла отношения Доктора и Мастера 🔥 0.53-1.05 параллель про сердца такая красивая 😍 Я ждала это видео с понедельника, как посмотрела финал 😂
They're the same person. Split apart & forever trying to get back to the other/fight against each other Reunify Destroy Create Omnipresence The source of time & space Alpha & Omega
Se Chibnail non mettere chiarezza a questo magnifico casino che ha creato con questo finale nella 13esima serie, avrà rovinato ciò che ha appena redento la 12esima stagione fa quel pallore che è stata l'11esima. . AMO I TUOI VIDEO.
The master is the one enemy, no matter what, the doctor can't bring themselves to kill. The Doctor never hesitated to kill or harm cybermen or daleks. But when it came to the master the Doctor was always hesitant.
You can keep Batman and Joker Moriarty and Sherlock Kirk and Khan Sith and Jedi The Master and The Doctor are the ultimate battle of good and evil a battle that has raged and will continue to rage until the end of all things.
The new master is a great actor do not get me wrong but I am sooo confused. I really shouldn't say confused I mean perplexed. When the master was missy, missy had changed, brought the master character in a whole new light. And the master was going to change from a enemy to a friend again before they got in their own way. When missy died she was going to the doctors side because that was where she was always going, she just took the long way round before dying. The doctor had no idea so I kinda get why the doctor would be a little hostile considering she didn't know that missy was coming and thought missy abandoned her. But the master not so much? Like why are you so angry?? Why can't you explain in words? Why not clear up misunderstandings?
Spoiler Imagine the master being the future doctor but he has lived so long he don’t remember that he was the doctor that would explain there similarities and we know it’s possible because the doctor had several life and he could have many more to the point were the pain drives him crazy and he forgets who he his
Honestly I dislike this version of the master (season 12) It makes 0 sense considering missy reformation and the drums not existing anymore? Actor is amazing but just didn't come off for me
OH MY GOD I JUST REALIZED THIS IS PROOF!!!!!! Okay, so, Missy says that their friendship is older than your civilization. She could mean the British civilization, BUT what if she meant human civilization? That would mean that The Master MUST BE Tecteun and The Doctor is the Timeless Child!!!
I know you mean well, and I massively appreciate the huge effort and intent that you put into these - but by not showing a SINGLE piece of footage of Anthony Ainley,Eric Roberts and (especially) Roger Delgado, you're exhibiting what could be easily interpreted as disrespect towards a very large part of the show :( At least try and reflect the first thirty-five years!
Before blaming me, you can ask why I do not use material from the classics. The main reason that I do not have the opportunity to do this now, although I really want to. I plan to make a long video about the Master with the classics in the future. But I want you to understand that it is very difficult to download and use the classics, because of the gigabytes of material, and the technical part does not always allow this. And I do not want to use one or two frames, just so that they are. This is disrespect for the show. I really respect the whole history of the show, so please do not speak so unfounded.
@@MargaritaLife I didn't say I disrespect it!! I said it could be easily interpreted that way (i.e. by other people). Nonetheless,I still staunchly maintain that a video (any video) about the Master should depict all the various incarnations of that character. I get that storage would be a problem - but one or two scenes oughtn't to take up much space...? I greatly admire your work. Your 55 year tribute has been on my HD since the day you uploaded it,and I have watched it regularly ever since :)
@@iansmith4023 I will not use one or two frames, just so that they are. This is my position. Because then the video will be empty, and I do not like this. For me, the main thing is to investigate the depth of the plot in my videos, and if I add one frame only so that it is, it will turn into a farce. I’ll do better in the future, one but high-quality video, and not several, so that there is at least one frame. Thank you!
Really not sure if all that meddling with the lore is a good idea. Also, the Jadoon teleporting into the TARDIS?? THERE'S SECURITY SYSTEMS AGAINST THAT!! Seriously, there's tons of technical canon about how secure a TARDIS is! whoniverse.net/tardis
The writers are just repeating stories. We have already seen the Master vs The Doctor. Or the Daleks or Cyberman. Couple this with bad acting from the fake Doctor Jodi whitaker and really bad acting from this Master. It’s a disaster. The writers need to create something new...BUT also not for stupid SJW reasons. Something captivating that is organic, not part of some silly identity politics agenda.
