If you go on the Doctor Who wiki it’s been revealed that the Nightmare Child was a new type of Dalek that Davros created that was meant to rise above the flaws of the other Daleks but went insane and wanted to consume everything like a hungry child. I like your version on what the Child could’ve been because the answer we’re given leaves us with more questions

They need to make a mini series of the time war and the doctor.

Big John Hurt fan. he did great job as the War Dr. BUT AGAIN Paul McCann got screwed. he should have been in the 50th as the man who destroyed Gallifray. + think how brilliant McCann, Tennant, Smith would have been

you should revise these again using the big finish audios. they've done a season of "gallifrey" about the time war, are doing several stories with the eighth doctor, and did several with the war doctor and war master. you could make this really epic, and complete this time

It's brilliant that this all technically started in the Tom Baker era and still, at that time, there was no mention of the Time War yet. And still, in a way, it works perfectly that Genesis of the Daleks was the very beginning of the Time War.

Fantastic Video! I've been thinking about something for awhile now, would like other Whovians thoughts on it: namely that all, or at least the vast majority of the Doctor's adventures we've seen/heard/read (on TV/Big Finish/novels) are all battles in the Time War. We do know that the Time Lords have used the Doctor as their proxy (the CIA sending him on missions), we also know that they can take control of the TARDIS whenever they please. It would also explain all of the inconsistencies and discontinuities across all of the various Doctor Who media. The time line keeps getting rewritten by all of the Time Lord's and Dalek's shenanigans.

The Time lords pretty much created their own worse enemy and started the war by sending the Doctor in, prehaps if they had sent the Master in to the begins of the Dalaks, the time war could of been avoided and the Dalaks destoryed before they truly began!

OMG this is class!

In the Doctor Who Movie, which took place before the Time War, Skaro was in tact. This means that sometime between the movie and Remembrance of the Daleks, Skaro was somehow brought back, not during the Time War.

without him there would have been no time war... His very presence on skaro at the beginning (Hartnell and Baker) turned an obscure race of crippled mutants cowering inside life support systems into the biggest threat to the universe. He made first contact, the Daleks were first notified about time travel by his presence.
