Doctored by Wall Street: Policy Solutions for Private Equity in Healthcare 

A growing body of evidence has demonstrated that the private equity business model is incompatible with healthcare. AFR’s Policy Team has developed a set of policy recommendations to address private equity’s role in healthcare, titled Doctored by Wall Street: Policy Solutions for Private Equity in Healthcare.
The recommendations include regulatory and legislative strategies to limit private equity’s ability to cut corners in care, close loopholes that allow them to overbill taxpayers for services, and limit their exploitation of vulnerable populations through increased enforcement, among other fixes.
