9:45 Someone out there is writing intentionally bad self-curing suicide techniques so people wont die and get to the ER where they might get some help or at least be given more time to cool down over whatever triggered the decision to act.
psoriasis.knew someone with it,like 100% covered. he got gallons of Elmer's glue, and an inflatable pool. filled pool with glue, got into glue pool.let glue dry.had a friend peel dried glue off. oddly enough,it worked. he had tried everything possible.his dermatologist said well,we did all we can ,try Elmer's.
My friend who had psoriasis permanently got rid of hers by taking fish oil tablets daily and exposing the area to direct sunlight for 20 -25 minutes a day. Was gone within 2 weeks and never came back yet. This was 7yr ago.
My Mom's sister-in-law once poured the brine from a jar of jalapenos into her ear believing it would cure an ear infection. Yeah, she's...an extra-special one.
This reminds me of something that happened to me a while ago. I got a spider bite on the left side of my neck, right under my ear. I didn't think anything of it and my mother said that it didn't look too bad. I'm blind so I couldn't see it to judge. But after a week of taking Tylenol and the like it wasn't going away, and at one point I started feeling like acid was starting to spread up my neck from the bite. So since I can't drive I convince my mother who wants to go to a party to take me to the nearest pharmacy. She reluctantly agrees. I get to the window and am like "Hey I have a" ... don't even get to "spider bite" before the pharmacist is like "Oh my God get to the nearest ER immediately!". After more complaints from my mom, we eventually get seen by the urgent care doctor. Turns out I should've been there three days ago and that it had gone from multiple spider bites to a full-on infection. Never listening to my mom again.
well if you let the infection rot away enough flesh, the nerve endings will be too damaged to send pain responses, that and the drugs she frequently used might have numbed it a bit.
A friend of mine was a nurse during WWII and a midwife for many MANY years. She saw a lot of stupid people try to treat their own injuries or to try and help save another from bleeding to death. A story she loves to tell to teach girls not to shove random sh*t up their Vs was a woman that came into the midwife center she worked at complaining of stomach pain. Turned out she was 9 months pregnant and in labor. When they told her that she said that wasn't possible, she had blocked off her uterus with dental cement. Turned out when she went to the hospital for an infection the doctors had removed it told her and she forgot, having unprotected s with her boyfriend of the week, thinking she was good. Needless to say that kid didn't stay with her long and friend said the kid was safe with the dad.
Reminds me of a story a few years back where some guy with a cavity decided to use his power drill to fix the tooth. Shockingly, this didn't work so well. Also shockingly, he sued the company that made the drill because they had failed to provide a warning not to use their product for DIY dental work.
The psoriasis one... yes, this kinda works. But, it has to be kept up. I come from a long line of eczema and psoriasis endure-ers. Basically, soaking in warm water until the skin is soft enough to scrape off and using an exfoliation scrub cloth (sulux cloths or those really scratchy korean cloths) and spending enough time in the area to gently (but vigorously) remove the excess skin. When youre done, you apply your ointments or creams to the raw skin and keep up with it. This method also works with mild foot fungus -- soak and then scrub the itchy area until it stops feeling good and then apply treatments. Im not a doctor, but the best i can figure is that, after the surface level is removed exposing the untouched skin beneath, the treatment is actually able to work. Most otc treatments will work better than before, but i recommend reading the instructions on a prescription treatment. I have psoriasis on my scalp, and the home remedy i use starts with washing with salicylic acid shampoo followed by a coal tar shampoo letting them sit for a few minutes. I use those exfoliation gloves to scrub my scalp. Salicylic gets rid of the build-up from excess skin and any gels or serums that got my scalp while styling. Coal tar does the whole reducing inflammation thing. Then i condition with a conditioner that doesnt cause problems for my scalp, then i use scalpisin which has cortisone in it which works way better on a clean scalp, and a coal tar ointment before styling as usual. The gloves are rough enough to scrub up the wet excess skin, but gentle enough not to go deeper than that or cause damage to the hair. Its along process, but it makes it so i don't have to wash my hair every week which was drying out my scalp this making the condition worse.
We had someone show up in our ER for severe headaches. When I asked him what he tried as a treatment, he said, “well I keep using cocaine and it hasn’t helped in months!” 😅 long conversation ensued.
Friend was upset that her doctor made her stop putting tea tree oil up her nose, no idea why she started that but she was upset that he wouldn’t let her keep treating ulcers in her nostrils with the oil. WTF? That stuff leaves chemical burns when left too long on skin, she’s lucky she didn’t do more damage
I wonder if no longer putting tea tree oil on the sensitive skin in her nose made the ulcers "mysteriously" disappear. (I also wonder how she tolerated the smell inside her nose. That stuff reeks.)
To add to the warfarin stuff the patient needs to get their blood tested from time to time to see if the dosage is still right or if something else is wrong because the warfarin isn't being processed correctly by the body.
Drinking alcohol for methanol poisoning or antifreeze poisoning can actually work! Obviously go to a hospital but this is sometimes a method used by doctors. Your body favors ethanol over methanol and glycol
The woman who used a shot glass over a cervix for a contraceptive was too stupid to have children. As a childfree senior citizen, I think all people who get pregnant are too stupid to have children.
This one is kind of funny. My sister decided she needed braces. She didn't. She decided to make her own with aluminum foil by wrapping it around her teeth. I don't know if she honestly thought that would straighten her teeth or if the reason she wanted braces because she thought they looked cool.
2:53 that sounds like it would be ineffective and probably a bit painful for the first few seconds, but ultimately not something that would cause severe long term damage, which makes it better than most of the other treatments here.
I knew a girl who, when she had a yeast infection, used the over the counter monistat... rectally. I mean it might have helped with symptoms but what the heck 🤣
I saw one. In it there was a guy that scrubbed of his scaly skin patches from plaques rosacea with a brillo pad and it worked. His skin stayed clear for years and the doctor had no idea why the scaly patches didn't just grow back immediately. Another one had parasitic worms in his eye, but he could never get them to surface at a doctors visit so he ended up pulling them out himself with tweezers.

- My mom used lime rubbed on my feet when I was younger to break my fever, not lemon on my forehead smh. The lime worked though lol - That sucks that the skateboarder ended up with septic arthritis, so he was able to skate again - How do you leave Nair on overnight? I can barely leave it on 5 min without it burning 😂
Lol! So, my great grandmother was "only" 95 when she died. She was in a hospice center, so somewhat not relevant right at the end as she was obviously in a "controlled environment," but she did have diabetes. Before she went into hospice, there was a point where my grandparents and uncle were just like....whatever....when it came to what she ate lol!! It was like dealing with a toddler who will only eat the same three things. Pick your battles lol! St least she was eating SOMETHING!
It pronounces it very well, actually. However, it can't decipher misspelled and abbreviated words the way a human can, and also it uses British pronunciations, which may sound very odd to an American. I've checked some of them, and they were correct British pronunciations.
i don't know what it is but every morning when i wake up i will be walking and my sight tern black and i fall because i cant move for like 3sec if u know what that is plz tell me.
My friend’s uncle stubbed his toe, It hurt so he decided to soak it in hot water. He stuck his foot in near boiling water, gave himself a deep blister. It got infected. He had diabetes type 2 that was not well treated and had constant cravings for sugar. He decided to wrap his foot and ignore it until it was so bad he got gangrene . Eventually admitting defeat-he went to the doctor who had to amputate his toe…and later his foot as the gangrene kept advancing…and then his lower leg, and then his whole leg and then he died. He died because he stubbed his toe. -Well that and 60 years eating carbohydrates. Get on Keto folks-thise carbs are freakin deadly. They kill your organs by causing disease. Keto is actually the proper human diet-not just a weight loss diet. Look up Dr Ken Berry and his informative videos. Proper human diet. He is a straight shooter-you’ll like him! No nonsense, no bullxrap-just health and healing.
@@Lady-Evonne77 Some of us have weird systems and actually do much better on keto than on a regular diet. Not sure how many people have my family's specific problem, though. Our immune systems are messed up, we're very prone to inflammation and related issues. Among those are fodmap issues, food sensitivities, and food allergies. Most of our issues are to plant foods, except my poor sister with a dairy allergy. I can completely, safely eat FAR fewer plants than I can't. We're also at greater risk of diabetes because of it, and carbs don't help with that either.
