And you can post it for the world to see or you can keep it for yourself. Like i said before, there are no written rules when it comes to documenting your life. Its important to remember that not everything needs to be filmed and sometimes taking a step back, putting the camera down, and being present in that moment, is the best decision. But being able to watch moments of your life, watching your growth, struggles, and how you overcome adversity is a pretty fucking cool thing." Hit the nail on the head.

I’m just glad this mindset is being adopted by more people. In a way I think people are getting more and more vulnerable and connecting with strangers online. I think as a society it took us some time but maybe we are just now experiencing the idea behind the creation of social media after so long and I love it.

So many beautiful footages

Many years before I had the passion to start and document my life, but the 9-5 life faded that passion throughout time. Haven't picked the camera for a long time now. Recently decided to quit my job and see where it goes. Randomly had this video saved and decided to clear my bookmarks. I'm so glad I did save it, I really liked it!

Not only great shots, but an amazing story which matters the most. Love this man and keep it up!

This is the exact reason I've started my channel. So many cool trips, experiences, and memories that I wish I had filmed some of to look back on. In 10+ years from now, I don't want to regret not doing it now and I want to be able to share these videos with my future children.

It's ok to "document your life", everybody does it, we all have phones with cameras and nowadays everybody has photos, videos, audios, texts about their life. My only and BIG advise to this subject is: DON'T MAKE YOUR LIFE A PRODUCT. Why am I saying this?? Cause I'm a filmaker and I've seen other filmaker friends fall into this kind of mentallity, filming their cool vacation trips and showing good colored images but then being driven into appearance, showing just the cute, aestheric and romanticized part of their lifes, but hiding the ugly, sad and real part. If you wanna know more deeply what I'm talking about I recommend you to read the book The Society of the Spectacle by Guy Debord. Be real, don't post your life just to get attention, don't fall into the spectacle of apprearance, do it for your self, document your life so when you're older you can remember everything you did, reflect on it, and share your learnings.

This is art at his finest 👌🏿 I’ve started to document my life as well. But then again I love to live my life in privacy as well. I’ve been in the public’s eyes from when I was 19 years old till my 30th as a professional athlete. I’ve retired early because I wanted to work on my mental health and went off grid. I’m 37 now it’s been 7 years without any social media and I felt in love with life and being in the present moment. My moms passed away beginning of this year and I’m relocating abroad the country so I’ve been documenting my journey in the hope that I can help somebody who’s going trough the same or similar experience. i agree. i've been vlogging since 2017 on and off and i always regret when i take long breaks. the memories you capture when filming your life are beautiful. a lot of times people i know in real life comment, "wow you film everything" like it's different or weird, and they sometimes feel a little uneasy in front of the camera because they're not used to it. but a couple years ago, someone very special to me passed away. his best friend ended up saying, "i'm glad you filmed everything because these memories are so special to me now." it can be a lot of work but i can't agree with you more. just subscribed! some of these shots looked like a movie, beautiful! and your finance is GORGEOUS.

I started recording myself singing in concerts, just for a few seconds while the artist is playing one of my favorite songs just so l can watch it when l`m feeling depressed or don't remember much. started recently recording some stuffs about my daily life and keeping it just to myself. I caught on video 10 days before my dog passed away (the one in my profile picture) and he was so happy and full of life. I'll never forget. really, always try to record/take pictures from special moments

i've been starting to document my life with videos from last year, and its so nice to have something to be able to look back upon. i completely relate to the point in being able to remember what happened in the past with the videos, you are able to remember the exact feelings or thoughts that went through your mind at the time, etc. cause even if its just a few months ago, theres so many things i've already forgotten. i've been slacking off in putting the videos together but you inspired me to make them again ! thank you :)

wow - how beautiful the simplicity of our lives is

I used to work as a videographer for 7+ Years, but had to quit because it became overwhelming - As a people pleaser, i gave too much energy to a less ready to pay Industry. Therefore i had to work a lot more to pay my bills. I quit to focus on myself, to create for myself. But now, when it comes to creating for myself, I don’t know if it’s laziness, burnout or something else. I can't do it anymore. It’s really frustrating when I want to create something and my mind keeps getting in the way. Even writing this down and imagining myself doing it, I can feel the barrier building up. The idea of documenting my life sounds so appealing to me. As an introvert, my camera often served as a bridge to connect with other people. But I’m struggling to find my lost passion. Every time i start, it feels like work and i quit. I’m not sure what my point is tbh just freestyle writing here. Be careful on "how" you make your passion your job i guess.. I really envy people who just get out the camera with a small tripod and start to create. It's what i used to do and for some reason can't anymore.
