I was born and raised in Williamsburg Brooklyn. I recently made a documentary film titled Williamsburg Brooklyn then and now/My mother and her friends that was screened at the 2017 Williamsburg Film Festival.
Lived in south 5 st. And union ... 1972 was in the center of every gang imaginable ... Life was very scary trying to go to school and taking care of my little brother ... All my friends were in gangs ... We had a group of 10. Played tag ... Skellies ... Punchball ... Around the world ... Kick the can ... Johnny on the pony ... Crack top ... Built skate boards ... Built club houses in the junk yard ... Had little camp fires ... Poor as we we had the greatest times just sitting around sharing each others laughter and snaps ... But as the ages started to grow more and more turned to joining neighborhood gangs ... I never chose that route but they were my friends ... Rumbles ... Fights ... Shootouts ... Zip guns ... Stabbing s ... All became the norm ...we even had a neighborhood dog named boy who was part of everything we did ... I miss boy ... Dangerous times but ... We had each other ... I will cary them in my heart forever ... Joey ... Edwin felix ... Carlos ... Saul ... Borqie ... Luginio ... David ... Jackie ... Jose ... Edwin ... Mikey ... Boy ...and myself ...bigboy ... Much love and respect forever ...
Talk about going back a few years... I visited my greatgrandparents' home on Penn Street between Lee and Bedford a couple of weeks ago. They lived there around 1910-20. I think the brownstones were brand new then. Williamsburg was the suburbs.

Clearly the guy in the video does not like demonstrative homosexuals, and much prefers the “hipsters” to the “previous neighbors.” We know who they are….😒
