Hi I want to apply for a Spousal Open Work Permit to join my common law partner that’s already on a study visa in Canada. Do I need to still upload pictures with my own family back in my country to show family ties? Also I’m currently working remotely for a company in the US(not my country or place of residence) so I’ll be showing POF and explaining that. Do you think this could be a problem? That I’m already working and may not return because it’s remote work? Or the Taxes I may not be paying because of remote work? Do you also think my partner and I should both show POF? Well done Lovelyn. I am about to apply for study permit and open work permit for my spouse. We have a daughter (who is an American by birth and has her American passport ). Below are my questions: 1. Is Spousal Open Work Permit on the new IRCC website? 2. Can I apply for Spousal Open work permit for my wife . 3. What class of visa will I apply for our 2 year old daughter? Visiting visa or study permit? 4. I and my Spouse do have a valid Canadian Visiting Visas. Hope this won’t affect my wife’s and daughter’s application? 5. My employer is my sponsor and they have issued a sponsorship letter and all supporting documentation like CAC, Bank Statement, TIN, Audited Account, Tax Clearance certificate etc. And they are ready to both sponsor myself and daughter. Will this fly? 6. Can we do our medicals ready pending the time we submit our application or wait for them to reach out to us? 7. Can I apply alone for the study permit and they come to Canadian then we apply for Spousal Open Work Permit (for my wife) and visiting visa for my daughter. Please note that my daughter is an American who does not need a visa to enter canada for less than 6 months stay… I’d expecting your response . Keep the good work going ❤

Hello Lovelyn. Please is it advisable to apply together for a study permit and a spouse open work permit. If my wife is applying for a study visa and we have a baby less that 2yrs old. Kindly advise, if we should apply together now or she need to apply alone first without the baby and me.
