Hyyy Dr. Rashi , I am Dr. Jay Butani from Ahmedabad, Gujarat . First of all , Thank you for giving us such important information about USMLE. I graduate my mbbs this year and starting my USMLE step 1 preparation just 1 month ago . My question was for graduate which clinical rotations are better ? So humble request from me to make one video on this also .
Great video Ma’am how many months before the desired date of electives did you apply for electives? How many days did you take to arrange all the documents? Please let me know ma’am.
I’m a Taiwanese medical student and I Just found your channel! Thank you for all the useful info! Can I ask how you search for USCEs? And how you know which institutions are available for IMgs?
Great video, Ma’am when did you apply for visa process & when did you get the visa? I mean ma’am in which year of your medical school did you apply and get US visa for electives ma’am ?
thank you this really helps . I had a ques about UIC elective : what should letter include . Can we mention step 1 passed or fonference attended ? Some key words ? Would be really helpful
Hi! Should we apply for clinical rotation before giving Step 1? Actually I am from a new medical college 1st Batch so I won’t be able to give USMLE until I Pass out so what’s your suggestion about students like us?
You can apply for rotations before STEP 1 as well. Some rotations require you to have a Step 1 pass before application, some are okay even if you haven’t given step 1 before the application.
Umm, I don’t think so. As long as your titres levels are good, it should be okay. But I would say double check with the coordinator and see if it’s okay ;)
I have graduated in May , 2022 . After graduation I have worked as a non training JR for 1 year . I have started my Usmle journey this month . I want to apply for September, 2025 cycle . Will I be considered an Old graduate by that time ?
Great video :) I have a question... would it make a difference in terms of step 2 results if I do US rotations after step 1 instead of doing it after 2ck? Like, in terms of learning in rotations and applying it in 2ck? I was thinking of doing rotations after 2ck, but saw in one of your videos that you did your rotations right after step 1. So I was wondering how that helped. Like what are the pros and cons of doing rotations after step 1 and after 2ck :)
Thank you ! It doesn’t matter when you do your rotations as long as it fits in your timeline. For me, going immediately after STEP 1 worked as I had time after that :)
Hey. I’m currently not doing any 1-1 mentoring. But I’ll definitely put it out here and on IG, when I open up some slots :) so keep an eye out for that.
