Some of us did👌😎if only we ALL had! They were great MX bikes, and great times💪 and DOCWOB is the man that dedicates his life & times to keeping them around (better than new too)🏆
Actually your fork boots are aftermarket, the originals were hard plastic. Your seat cover is after market, all 80 crs had no visible seams on the cover. Great bike.
Just to let you know, a buddy of mine is in the middle of a complete frame up “RJ ‘87 CR250R” rebuild and he just received his new PC ‘87 CR pipe from Pro Circuit. You had better make that call ASAP because PC just did a batch of these pipes up, not sure how long they will be available.
i bought this bike new September of 1986 when the 87 1st came out. raced it here in central FL. gold cup series. i drove an old junky van but this sweet bike would roll out of it. super reliable, I did nothing but change oil filter and rode it the entire series. In this era every year there was a noticeable and significant improvement with the bikes.
Awesome I had one back in the old school days. Seventeen in so Cal it was the best days of motocross is far as I'm concerned. Thanks for the blast from the past. God bless Matt,ky
Honda's of this era were beautiful...they lost the plot when they started painting the frame white. I was at a meeting, and Neil Prince was riding a pre production CR with a white frame. Until someone pointed this out to me, I thought some caveman had attacked it in his shed with a rattle can!!
I drove up to PC to get my 87 CR250 pipe. The catalog said they were out of stock but when your there, they have some in stock. The intermediate clutch cover says on backorder on the Honda parts list but talking to my honda parts guy, he said they never plan on selling selling anymore so dont hold your breath. The 88-91 cover fits and its aluminum. Thats what I used.
I have Two of these all tore down waiting to build…. New OE clutch covers frames powdered perfect match flash orange! Building family proved a bit more expensive than planned!!
Wow, this is one of the best 250 2 stroke Honda ever made, especially that forks that is well known for. Just replace that 1985 "PRO LINK" swingarm sticker with period correct one. Thank you for this video.
I kind of think same, its to do a job, especially if your riding/racing it. Imo if you break a few chinese cheap parts its better than wrecking oem expensive parts.
@@docwobtv I was sponsored by Honda uk and Bridgestone but remember taking those Dunlop tyres off for my Bridges although the Dunlops were a great all round tyre. Maybe I’m mistaken.1987 onwards
Thanks for your video And that's a really sweet looking bike, Do you happen to have the link for the side cover water pump side cover from china I looked on ebay I couldn't find nothing,
