Owner of the charger in the video. 392.Niki if you're interested I welcome all questions comments concerns or table thumping. I was definitely struggling with traction on this surface, but it was a beautiful day all around spent with some really great guys. Peace 🤝💯
That was a fun afternoon! So nice to see this get concluded after being cancelled earlier this past summer. That 392 is no joke and Xavier knows how to launch it! We also took some great photos that day, sunset to the east and full moon rise to the east. Good times.
Thats actually an older C43 that has 360 hp not the 385. If you look at the front bumper you can easily tell. The facelifted ones are the ones that have 385hp and 385lb-ft torque which is the same torque . They have a retuned transmission, bigger turbos, retuned engine, and retuned suspension. It would definitely make for a closer race. Not to mention better interior but thats just looks
0-60 4.5-5 sec. this guys not getting good launches at all. I got 4.9sec pb on stock all seasons in winter... either way tho that merc is fast a good launch should have been much closer at start
@@Badmon.Bryann there are actually BIG differences from 5.7 to 6.4, sounds like you don't know what your talking about. So like the OP said it's a beast of a motor.
I was able to Flip my scat for what I bought it for 😂 wild how much the used car value has just 📈 during the pandemic. Owned it for 2 yrs, going for the Hellcat before it’s discontinued 🤙🇺🇸
Unfortunately we never really fully enjoyed or took advantage of those low pre covid prices that seem like a distant memory now 😂🤦🏽♂️ forgot what things were actually valued at
I am pleasantly surprised by the performance of the scat pack the c43 is such a good platform, i've reviewed some of the tuning options and WOW what a huge torque figure. I used to drive an n54 335i and while it was great, it was expensive to keep on the road ( i never skimped on service). I moved to a manual ats-v after spending a ton of money trying to keep that n54 solid.... almost think i shoulda gone for a c43 looking at its potential.
How do you like the ats-v manual? Really wanted one pre-covid but settled for a 10th gen si and installing a short block atm. Those ats-v are hard to come by in a manual.
Hits rev limiter twice in manual mode: "AAaaahhhh, this is such a terrible transmission in manual mode" Reviews other german cars that auto upshifts in manual mode: "us enthusiasts don't like these auto upshifts in manual mode, terrible transmission"
Agreed manual mode is a big disappointment. It lags during shits, you hit the rev limiter all the time. My 2019 drives me crazy! still a very entertaining daily driver
You should have taken him up on his offer Sam to let you have the hit! You still would have lost but if he gave you the hit and a car it would have been closer! Either way fun video! More mopar content please 😊
The c43 is very good in manual mode in fact it's one of the most fun cars to drive in manual mode. If you don't have experience driving it in manual and you failed to shift on time please don't blame the transmission as the transmission has nothing to do with driver skills
Impressive to see the C43 holding up to the beast-charger on the quarter mile. on the rolls, there is nothing else to say, hp and displacement will always win. great video!
I think the Scat Packs are my FAVORITE cars on this channel. I always expect for the big girl to get blown away, but I think it’s time I give this car the respect it deserves. Those things are properly quick.
C43 is great from a stop. It's also not limited when modded since that AWD can handle a lot more power. Modding a RWD just means more loss of traction from a stop. I get the fun in a car with a lot of horsepower but it sucks to lose from a stop and it's pretty much illegal even on the highway the moment you can pass lol
@@vroomgc Yeah exactly. Everyone has their opinions and like what ever they like, but I find the design and interior quality and features in the C class more than makes up the price difference.
@@jtc1964x Wow, so stupid. Unless you go full on slicks, which would be unusable on the streets, you're still not gripping from a dig, especially after tuning for more power.
@sheldoncoffelt1891 ridiculous comparison, you are a clown. You could buy 2 scat packs for the price of a C63. The 6.2L supercharged hemi is a better v8 than anything the Germans have ever made. There is a race between a redeye and the C63 wagon on this channel.
Lol there's nothing wrong with the transmission in the mercedes. When you have it in manual mode and run it to redline and don't shift soon enough it cuts the power for half a second. I've seen lots of people do this on RU-vid lol. They blame it on the transmission when it's actually driver error. No offense just saying.
Been here, stock for stock, the C43 may jump the launch due to AWD but the 392 will close the gap and walk it. Stock 392 should reach 100mph in a touch over 9 sec with a good launch and at least with summer tires. That's what might not be happening here depending on mods or the state of the SP's tires.
Stock 392 would hit 100mph over 10 seconds. A tuned scatpack 1320 hits 100mph in 9.2 seconds. Usually a scatpack gets you in the launch, but the AWD helped the C43 in the beginning but slowed it down also in higher speeds.
Great video! Yes the Charger Scat Pack Daytona is a beast I should know I have the same car 🚗 and color! The Charger 392 is not good on ⛽️ I get 20.5 per gallon on the highway however the drive n the V8 roar is amazing every time🙂💪👍
What happened to the b9 s4 you used to have in here? It was red. Please try to find an 034 tuned b9 s4 to have on here. Thank you for all the content btw.
I had my 2019 c43 professionally tuned (throwing down 540ft-lbs of torque at wheels now) and at the drag strip I regularly beat Hellcats with street tires unless they manage a miraculous launch. The tune helped the top end power by a wide margin and can steadily click off 12s quarter mile runs all day..
@@bumblebee234 did you read my comment? It was a professionally done custom tune, they had my car for 3 days at the time to do it because at the time it was a new engine setup. Been 4+ years now of problem free driving. Brentuning in Acton, MA did it. And I have Dynos to prove the numbers before and after. They go by BT garage, I’ve had 3 cars tuned by them including 2 WRXs I’ve had previously, people drive from all over the US to go to them, luckily they are an hr away from me
Nitto ( or M/T ) Drag Radials 305/35-20 with a 1/4" spacers is what i did with my Challenger Scat Pack and made a huge diff on the street 0-60 mph went from 4.9 to 4.2 on the same street ! 1/4 mile 12.8 to 12.2 secs!
Damn dude.. My 19 Widebody Challenger went from 4.5 to 3.7 when I was stock. 3.5-3.6 after 93 tune. Drag radials are the first thing these scats need. Spinning ain’t winning 😁
As expected, throw some basic mods on the c43 such as down pipes/ tune/ e85 and it’ll be a completely different race. Turbos cars just make power so easily
They are called snackpacks for a reason one tried to race my Toyota Crown Athlete 3.5 on the onramp he got the jump but got reeled in fast by a fucking car with a way smaller engine he looked pissed off afterwards lol
Seeing videos like this makes me miss my hellcat charger at times but I got tired of getting gapped by supercharged 5.0’s and supercharged Camaros so I ended up trading the kitty for a 2018 10 speed 5.0 on twin turbos. The 5.0 might be way faster but my old hellcat charger was super spacious and comfortable
@@MrM4rvelous YES SIR!!! I’ve actually talked to my wife right after I wrote the last comment and we decided since she was in the market for a new car we decided that our next car purchase is going to be a scatpack as soon as that tax return hits that is good thing we have 4 kids 😂 Beautiful car by the way man love the color and love the exhaust sound
@@Justaeuropeanman mighty kind words sir thanks. Sounds like you got the family heading in the right direction! If you have Instagram I would like to see that 5.0 and the scat when you get it. Going widebody?
If you do headers, cold air intake, catback exhaust, and a tune. (Maybe even bigger and ported throttle body) you can definitely squeeze 500+hp out of a scat pack. Plus strut tower braces will that chassis stiffen around corners as well
Lmaooooo he alwayssss blames the car no matter what. As a c43 owner idk wtf he’s talking about shifting gears like it’s pretty straight forward to know when you shift he’s just shit at shifting 😭😭
Didnt hear the C43 launch. Wonder if he just hit the gas. Would be a different outcome on the drag but still a very close race. Car isnt squatting from the back from the 392 camera view.
6.4L NA vs 3.0L Turbo will always play out this way with enough road. The C43 AWD system is better from a stop, but the massive engine will eventually erode the gains from AWD and pull away.
@@Legendary-2024 lol overpriced? The scatpack is pretty much $50k for a fast engine. Nothing about the car is flattering but you straight line boys stay in denial
@@Legendary-2024 He's correct. "The scatpack is pretty much $50k for a fast engine" The rest of the car has the quality and refinement of a Fisher Price toy. I'll take the Benz all day of the ancient Dodge that is still riding on a 3 decade old Benz platform.
@@deman19901 alcantara leather heated seats .. ok bud sounds cheap haha u moron mustang owners! Go drive your fords u idiot child! If you know anything about dodge they use to share the same platform as amg and owned Lamborghini ok! Until u driven all three like me, you will admit charger is the more comfortable ride! Go home seriously get educated before running your mouth
Expected this. That v8 will always catch up and destroy 6 cylinders at high speeds. Stop light to stop light tho Im basically invincible in my c43 lmao
@@MrM4rvelous agreed, anyone who’s had the pleasure of driving one back to back with an M340i and S4 will know that the C43 is the most exciting and the better driving one.
@@Runescapian0wner With a JB4, on map 2 or 3, they can definitely run 118. A well tuned map 6, with no other mods, usually runs in the 120's, at 11.4-11.5.
The transmission in manual is not terrible at all. Your comparing a hemi v8 to a v6 bi turbo that’s where the car the 43 is lacking lmao not it’s transmission
Still would go c43 just because of the body lines and the tuning potential will make it much crazier than the scat plus i feel like there so many charger different chassis there's nothing really unique about any of them plus saying you drive a dodge doesnt roll off the tongue right like saying you drive a benz
Track mode wouldn’t make that big of a difference lol the modes don’t add horsepower just changes how the car drives not even a difference in straight line
@@mason8557 I have it in mine. Huge difference. It boosts the top speed from 155 to 170. It also tightens up league shift even more aggressive than sport plus. It also adds the ability to use launch control at 4k rpm Which is the biggest help of all. I haven't lost to a skat pack yet. I did lose to an s r t jeep though🤣
