Dodge Dakota WINDOW MOTOR Regulator ASSEMBLE replacement 

Excellent video! $400 repair quote to fix my 03 Dakota SLT driver’s window cost me $35 for the new regulator assembly. Especially liked the tips to remove the speaker, just 4 screws and lube the window channels while it was disassembled. Total time 1.5 hours taking my good old time. 12 out of 10 in my book. Now gotta see if KY has a video on changing the heater core. That’s a big job but at $750 quote I want to try it. You’re the best. Thanks!

The cable on my regulator broke. After watching your video, I decided I could replace it myself. Part came in yesterday and I began work this morning. After everything was back together, the window wouldn’t close all the way (about 1/4 inch from the top). Then I realized that the old part had a black plastic piece on the top that went on the metal part that I received. This plastic piece is the one that has a groove in it for the window. Took it all back apart, added the plastic piece on and put it all back together. Worked great! Thanks for the video.

Just thought it might be worth mentioning that it appears this style regulator is in the quad cabs, if you've got the standard or cub (extended cab) on a 2 door model it's got a scissor lift type in there. I saw this vid and at that first quick glance, I went yeah that's how my the front of my truck and door panel looks, but once I opened it up surprised to find something else. Removing the panel is the same, but past that it's different inside the door.

Bought the replacement from Advance Auto. 2 concerns. The replacement didn’t have the bracket that attaches window to regulator track AND the track is flat instead of curved like the original. Thoughts? Advice?

HELLO KY! Just finished watching a video I have to do the same exact job. on my 2001 Dodge Dakota Passanger Door Side! I have a new Window Regulator that a friend gave me but I'm not sure if this one is correct! Can you tell me, the part number is 1AWRG00570

What should I do if the new regulator is in the up position? Can I just plug motor in to regulator and use switch?

Whats with these 2002 Dakota regulators. I believe I have had to replace all of them. Drivers side twice.

What do you do to detatch the glass when it has failed in the up position?

i see a white wire that is cut off......why? what did that go to?
