In this video I share how the Dodge, Ford and other automakers are potentially trying to get more control of us with their EV's. Follow me on Instagram, Tiktok, and Facebook at OCMotivator
So, they want to be able to disable your vehicles functions remotely, but at the same time they have no interest in making it difficult for thieves to steal your car.
🎯 The criminals must be able to operate to keep the fear factor up out there and manufacture consent from the governed in order for the centralized, top down solutions to come from the merciful overlords and ruling class.
Charger Six Pack actually doesn’t look that bad. The Hurricane engine in the new Ram RHO makes less power than the TRX, yet pulls the same 0-60 and quarter mile time by like ~0.2s
They want to make cars a subscription model. Sell our data and charge us every month. Targeted ads will pop up on your infotainment. Then they'll lock our cars on smog alert days to keep us home.
That or they'll lock your car during the next pandemic lockdown if you don't have certain pass or some shit. They were freezing banks account here in Canada, I bet you they would do it for cars too
Definitely not being paranoid. Personally, I don’t know how people could be in denial about where this is all headed. I just hope and pray that enough people wake up and take a stand and put the brakes on these trends before it’s too late.
I personally think it has a lot to do with the ESG global movement. Funny thing is china has some of worlds worst emissions and somehow they believe forcing americans into ev will save the world. China , india, russia and japan will keep doing what they do its foolhardy to think forcing one country can make a change when everyone else will do what always do. Theres also other technologies that were suppressed in the 1900s. Several inventors created nee Carbs and or carbless system that got them 100-200mpg. Then theres stanley meyer water powered buggy. Another suppressed technology. All these inventors died or were killed shortly after filing for patents… 😾
It's already too late. The majority of Americans want Biden in office who has already driven up gas prices and declared an end to ICE. The Hemi was the first in a line of victories for him. You have GM, Stellantis and others in lock step with Joey and his corrupt EPA and CARB. While there are protests over helping Hamas, you won't see any from car enthusiasts.
I just feel that most people renting cars don't want an EV. Id rent a car for a long trip on company time, usually cheaper to rent than for them to pay me mileage for long distance, or if I land somewhere and I need to take care of business. I got no time to waste charging when I'm on the clock. EVs make no sense for rentals, but for daily drivers they do if you can charge at home
And when distances are short, like in urban areas would an EV be more reasonable, practical.@@dpajc056 I'd rent a gas vehicle for long trips just to keep the miles and wear and tear off my car but not an EV, no way.
The save the world police need to realize once they make everything electronically controlled then your completely at the mercy of government and big tech!
We should all just ignore the WEF right? Microchips in our brains, 100% tracking of cars and we all must eat nothing but bugs. Sounds like a great world to me. 😣
@@JustJ-gs3rx yeah, everyone that argues how great EVs are all say they charge at home, but never say how much their electric bills increased and never consider that the majority of people don’t live in places where they can charge at home.
Oil change leaks head gasket leaks water pump failure brake cylinder failure gas station expense break wearing terribly sluggish performance just continue to drive your stupid Camry human resource manager and have a good day
Think computer hackers. Some kid in the basement uploads some code and ALL Fords have their audio systems start playing the Hulk TV show's ending theme music, the windshield wipers start hyperfast, the dashboard lights up like a Christmas tree and all the cars can go no faster than 9 miles per hour. Have fun with that. Until Ford pays a bazillion dollars to unlock their cars.
Not to mention the freaking law that I think got passed that requires all new vehicles 2026 onward to essentially have a Killswitch you know for ‘ safety reasons like drunk drivers’
Yep, they passed that under the budget bill. It will also allow data gathering and passenger monitoring via video and audio. The courts have already ruled that data can be collected and sold without consent since buying the vehicle counts as consent.
I agree with you, I’m sort of a younger crowd too. For work, recently I drove twice to Oklahoma from California in my car and was stationed in Oklahoma for a few weeks at a time. Both times I drove basically non-stop, meaning, I only stopped for fuel and restroom use. There is no way I would have been able to do that in an EV. Also, I’ve had situations where there has been an emergency at home, and I’ve had to go home from work on a low tank of fuel, I stop at a gas station 5 minutes later I have a full tank, I’m not telling my family, I can’t be home for an hour I need to charge the car. So it’s not even about a zombie apocalypse, it’s about basic day to day living that a lot of big city folks don’t care to understand. In my neighborhood LOTS of folks park on the street, they don’t have garage parking where they can charge their EV, what do they do? When I got to Oklahoma I was staying in a hotel for weeks, is the hotel going to have to put in EV charging for each guest? These are real questions that nobody cares to answer. Also battery life and technology life. For example I bought a new 2017 Lexus LS460 and even before the warranty ended on the car they shut down the 3G cellular network the Lexus connect app ran on so I lost some of the features like being able to lock my car with my phone or being able to remote start my car or even the SOS feature. So if you have a vehicle that is dependent on a connection to the internet to make your air conditioner or heated seats work what will happen when that tech changes will your car be bricked and you have to change cars when the cell phone tech becomes obsolete? I don’t want to have to get a new car because cell phone carriers shut down old technology, that’s not right. All that and we haven’t even talked about the battery life, I daily commute in a 17 year old car, if it was an EV I would have had to have the battery changed at least once if not twice in that span of time. With new EV batteries costing $20,000+ or some of the Hyundai batteries costing more than a brand new car, what kind of financial hardship would that pose on people. My grandma is still driving a 1999 ford explorer. If you are retired on a fixed income and you expect your car to last 15-20 years but you get a bill for $20,000 for a battery that would wipe you out. A bunch of questions and no answers or solutions. Just take it and shut up.
You have listed every single reason EV should not be mandated in one post. Thank you sir. Watch out for brainwashed EV fanboys that will pop up. They apparently know everything.
Last time I was in China something like at least 50-65% of cars were EV. AT LEAST. all the scooters were EV. Trees 🌳 everywhere. They're really working hard to reverse the pollution. And their public transportation works. Unkllike where I live lol.
China is massively building coal fired electric plants. That right there is enough to offset any tailpipe emissions savings from EVs. Same thing with India. Until there is independent verification of what China and India are doing, I'm not willing to sacrifice the American economy. We must also understand that, anywhere there are Western people in their country, the Chinese will do whatever they can to put on a good face. I bet the countryside doesn't look as nice.
@@dpajc056 , I'll help you pack for your move to China. After all, the 3,000 coal fired power plants and massive industrialization are keeping the planet green.
@@dpajc056 and you're right about the automotive but they're factories and their manufacturing I mean you think that we frack they're the United States on steroids when it comes to fracking there's nothing wrong with it just the amount that they do same thing with India and India doesn't have any EVs most of them cars a little three-wheel lawn mower engines running around and that's not you know being negative towards him is what they have is what they have what they do have is they'll have what we having six lanes still have 12 cars instead of six and the traffic never stops they're like ants just straight over they got to go over worst case scenario they dig there's a funny video about it with that comedian Gabriel Iglesias aka fluffy watch the video with him talking about when he went to India
@@dpajc056you mean by painting trees to make them seem green or the collapsing tunnels or how about the fake photo of Beijing or Shanghai which is so cloudy they need a fake fucking photo for tourists…like what the fuck are you smoking,
Don't these tree huggers understand what it takes to get the materials to make these batteries and what those batteries do to the environment when they are disposed of??? Our electric grid cannot handle the EV's as it is. And the more EV's they add to this country will cause a bigger drain on that grid. It is causing brown outs in some cities in California as it is. Also, this last winter in Chicago it showed how ineffective the EV's are in the winter... Just saying.
Love your videos. You are not a lunatic. I have been in law enforcement for almost 30 years and yes pursuits are dangerous but not willing to have a cruiser, although I don’t deal with public or drive a marked car anymore, that will stop another vehicle remotely. I just purchased a new 2023 Charger GT in Mango about 3 weeks ago and I love it. Pull up to gas pumps and fill it up in 5 minutes no charging necessary. Oh and in another month I will be 73. My Charger has some features but not as feature rich as some vehicles and I am good with that. Keep up the good work.
did you miss the huge news about some Automakers reporting drivers for speeding to their insurance company? A certain manufacturer has had the capability to remotely turn off the ignition for year now. I agree with you about the control issue but it has been going on for years now. A manufacturer enabled their vehicles ignition shutoff starting back in 2009.
Me to my Tree Hugging sister, who is horrified by my 460 HP V8 Mustang - “Where do you think the electricity comes from?” - Sister, after a long pause, “Well, I guess, from the plug socket in the wall” 🤔🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
You're 460 hp Mustang will get destroyed by a single motor Tesla it's irrefutable you can put a blower on it and add 500 more horsepower and it's still going to be a slow joke compared to the electric vehicles that that are out
@@streamingdemon2522 Yea and after 3 passes your EV gets slower and slower while his mustang gets faster because track conditions and warming up. You EV fanboys aren't really smart are you?😂😂😂
I can down a Big Mac meal in thirty seconds (that would be the Tesla) - or I could opt for US Prime Ribeye, grilled to perfection & take my time (that would be the classic American Pony Car, aka Mustang) - Not knocking ev’s - Just appreciate long hood, short rear deck, manual transmission, front engine, rear wheel drive + Genuine American V8 parts - 🇺🇸 God bless America!
@@streamingdemon2522until you hear. *tear, hissing* and now a 7 day flame has sparked under your 50,000$ paper weight with the insurance going oooh that’s too bad death by stick? 😂 keep reading the manual a lot of these vehicles from 20-25 years ago can take em pretty good too, so guess what. They don’t have ECMS limiting them or TCS a lot of them take some balls to drive too, so I found the EV fuck boy.
I learned back in 1987 my power wheels sucked because it was battery powered and wished it had a gas engine as a child, I will not bend the knee to the Earth Day crowd.
They're listening to everything you say and everything you think I mean if you're a googling things it's going to come up in in the algorithms but if you're just thinking it and 25 minutes later shows up on your phone that's an everyday occurrence for me
Yep. I know exactly how they screw us. Misfires on new vehicles but no check engine light. The manufacturers are hiding it. It is fatal after some time. Hook a scan tool up to any gas car, put it in the mode to check active statistics, then drive the vehicle, healthily revving it up. You will see so many misfires that will then go away and not be stored.
Also a lot of those “misfires” are what’s called octane knock your motor knocks itself down to the respected grade, my 16 dart does that and it stops when you put 88-91 through it. So it’s normal, however a knock and actual knock or misfire will trigger a CEL, since it would go up against certain policies for safety.
Completely agree with other nations not coming into spec with emission control and whatever the US and other countries are doing to help, it’s like the old days where there was a smoking section on an airplane, everyone’s breathing it in no matter where you sit on the plane
Oc motivator your a very smart man and I love all of your content. I wish you could run for president because you would definitely have my vote. You are the pure definition of freedom of speech. 🎤 and I love it. I love watching tks garage and butter. You guys are the best by far. Keep up all of the great content.
This is why I have stockpiled 3 V8 Chargers/Challengers, a few Corvettes, a Yukon and a Silverado in the last few years. Most future vehicles are going to be sh*t on wheels
My sister HAD (stress Had) a Tesla Model S (one of the first ones sold in the U.S. she got rid of it two years ago because the (on the interstate) car , while on “Auto Pilot” would either leave the interstate tailing a car, almost run into a bridge, or they actually had it not turn off and almost have an accident when a deer ran out. The autopilot was designed to immediately shut off when your hands touch the steering wheel ( it required you to touch the steering wheel every few seconds). But when my sister grabbed the steering wheel to avoid the deer, the steering delayed so bad that she almost hit it. She got rid of the car and bought a Mercedes instead. Vowing to never have another EV as well as a vehicle with radar cruise control.
All my cars are older than me. And its awesome to be able to get a alternator for $40 and swap it in under 20 mins. Never buying new especially due to the control that there coming with.
Seriously, my commute is 2 miles to work and 2 miles back. I work 7 days a week 3rd shift making transmission castings for everyone except Stellantis products. An EV would actually make sense for me because I have access to 240v at home and ONE supercharging station that is local. ONE. We have about 15 gas stations. It's actually worse on my gas vehicle to drive my commute than if it were an EV, it's barely warmed up by the time I roll into the plant. I still can't justify buying an EV until the infrastructure is there.
That's reality, agreed. Wow, that's a very nice black '69 Charger with fat rear wheels that your head was popping out. Also, that was a really poopy laden Fiat 500 😂😅
Also, car insurance is up this year. The guy basically told me since the other companies raised their rates, they had to too. They got together and formed a monopoly smh
Haven't some brands played with subscription services overseas? Like BMW charging a monthly fee if you want to be able to use the heated seats that are already in the car. Remember reading that, but don't know if it was implemented.
When a car is "smart" criminals can use these features as well. Imagin driving at night and your car stops in the middle of a not so nice neighbourhood. Canada is becoming China already with their social credit score. Shocking that carmakers thinking about how to punish their clients. I own a Restaurant. Thinking about a Steak recipe that gives you ,if the tip isn't enough, gives you diarea😅
I consider myself as a very eco-friendly person. Even volunteer to clean up my local state parks with my son. The reality is “recycling” and “EVs” are just as bad as anything else. Especially with cobalt mining slave labor. It’s a dark and depressing rabbit hole. The fact of the matter is, the PROVEN best thing you can do for the environment is KEEP YOU CAR. Don’t buy new cars. That reduces your carbon footprint by a large margin. Remember people, if you can’t fix your own car-it forces you to buy a new car-which exponentially raises your carbon footprint.
In the future you’ll be able to buy a faraday bag. Except it’ll be a car cover. This way when it’s parked it can’t be accessed. Wait till that day shows up. And it’s on Amazon. Or your local Walmart. The parts stores will carry it.
The interchangeable battery thing has been in the works for a few years now … the biggest problem with it is you have to get all manufacturers to do the same setup under the car for quick automated removal and replacement. Then the problem is you just went and purchased this brand new 100k car and battery and we are going to replace your 0hour battery with a 3 year old battery out of someone’s used and abused piece of crap.
Like George Carlin used to say, “the planet 🌎 fine the people 🥴are f**ked” lmao 🤣. Thank God all three of my cars are V8’s, looking for my 4th a Scat Pack Challenger 🚙.
I agree with most of/close to all of your comments. That said, you should checkout the Canadian government corporate welfare program for EV manufacturers. They just announced 5 billion for Honda on April 25th. This on top of 13 billion for VW and $15 billion for stellantis.
In a world where even big companies get hacked and information stolen I would advise against doing this because a smart thief would easily control my car in a crucial moment. It’s already sad how easily they steal our ICE vehicles, this will just be a lot worse. Or imagine you’re on the highway and your car glitches(Hummer) and randomly shuts down in the middle of traffic causing risks
I have AAA for my auto insurance. I used to send them my yearly mileage report every year until this last year. My wife has a 2021 Durango 392, I have a 2022 Charger Hellcat. Somehow AAA already knew how many miles we drove this last year and we got a discount for verified miles. What? How? This is scary. It's also intrusive. This kind of sh)t is never used for our advantage, it's for their profit. Do all insurance companies do this now? Are there any good ones left?
Until very recently I worked for GEICO. If you signed up for "Snapshot" or other similar service you're screwed. They know EVERYTHING ABOUT YOU AND YOUR DRIVING....I worked in the fraud unit and there is ZERO privacy.
In my neck of the woods in a blue state in the Northeast, one local Dodge/Jeep dealer is now discounting all the 4XE Wranglers by $10,000-$13,000. The same discounts they gave to move the 2023 Gladiators off the lot.
I know its easy to just think of evs as a laptop on wheels but the new gasoline vehicles have just as much tech, maybe slightly less but all your main concerns can affect the new gasoline models as well. Most things are electronically controlled now regardless of ev or not.
Hey Brad Back in the day, I had bought new 2002 Chevrolet trailblazer and onstar could already do all those things back then. They could remotely roll power windows up and down, lock and unlock doors, turn my suv on and off, gps track me where I was at way back then, etc.- I spoke with rep who did all that for me when I locked keys in the car. So, this technology is already in place on our cars now- on my 2021 right now, it’s just the EV’s will just perfect the tech😊!
You are not crazy at all, I have been saying the same thing for a good while. All of this is about control and keeping us (not them) from being mobile.
I WANNA DEBATE YOU!!! But.... I agree with you. Short debate. I win. You win. We all win. Except Muscle cars. They didn't win. EVs are not for me and I hope muscle cars make a comeback again. Love your channel. Keep the videos coming.
I believe in personal juice. If I want to drive a gas powered or diesel powered Cummins 1ton long bed pickup it is my choice. If you want to drive a battery powered bomb that is your choice.
Do the EV Lovers realive that mother earth is providing the resources like coal and others to provide the electricity to charge the batteries??? And what about the toxic batteries themselves? EV is the what the government thinks! Love this channel.
Hahahaha. the car can repo itself. I actually think that is great. I'm all for it. I wouldn't give a shit if someone is going to "catch up" on their payments. Til then..... "no tickie, no laundry"
I’m with you Brad, it all comes down to “ownership” do I really own my car weather it’s thought a car loan or paid outright, I don’t want some dweeb controlling MY car.
first mod I do is cut the catalytic converter and mufflers off. I am on the 19th race car. Why you ask? Because MERICA! they need to pay me 500k+ every year to accept EV's lol. The logic behind EV's ironically requires 100x more fuel to create and or gather lithium. So mass production of EV's are most likely why the world emissions are broken lol. People with normal cars are technically saving the world by avoiding EV purchases.
Okay if you think so buddy go lock yourself in the garage with a running gas car for a day and then compare it to how you're feeling locked in the garage with an electric vehicle for a day if you're still alive
Early 80s: push to make people stop smoking. Late 80s: push to add extra movie ratings. Early 90s: push to eliminate porn. Late 90s: push to limit sugar intake by making soda sizes smaller. All of this done in the name of safety. The point is these things happen a piece at a time, and very slowly, until one day you realize you have no privacy. Kids today do not get this concept because all they know is what they know. They are the ones getting screwed, and your right.
Actually, unless you are driving the 1969 Charger all the computer power you are afraid of is already in your vehicle. I drive a 2024 Jeep 392, it has all the tracking and ability to be remotely shut off, tracked and ticketed.
Need to watch a movie with Lee Majors and Burgess Meredith named The Last Chase came out in 1981 whereas it is a crme to own or operate gasoline vehicles . ELECTRIC CARS ARE THE ONLY VEHICLES ALLOWED in the United States
I would much rather drive a70's Duster, 318 4speed. Mileage would be good, fun factor 100%. Hatchback and folding seat for utility. Not a fan of big brother, E V hype or 40 inches of screens in New vehicles. Guess I am old enough to remember cruising just for the fun of it, no gps, cell phone,no cameras at every turn...just peace
I had a dodge ram pickup 2008 and it had a low jack device! I had to wait to get my check at a new job! I finally made my vehicle payment! But the company with my title turned off my vehicle. While I was going 40 mph down a street in Oregon! I freaked out. Almost had an accident! I immediately called and was told, "Oh, sorry, we see the payment!" Giving someone else control of your every day is a no-no!
