Dodge Grand Caravan “No Build” Minivan Camper | Van Tour / Van Life

Now this is a setup I can get behind. Not some cargo van that costs tens of thousands and an overly stylized living quarter that looks like a studio apartment. Just what you need to care for yourself and a few amenities. Very pragmatic and realistic.

I put a hard hat, clip board on dash. Reflective vest on driver seat. I park anywhere with no issues. The sleeping bag name is pronounced teeton as in the mountains

I plan on building a caravan myself , after my dodge ram build gets finished , I find it more comfy in a van than a truck because I don’t have to get out of the cab to go in the back to cook and hangout lol

Hi Matt, I'm from Central MN too, lol...keep up the winter van camping! That's so awesome! Fun videos. You should tell us where you are (just the area or park) so I know what places are good. I do truck camping and have a big RV in summer. I ride horse at sand dunes and Kathio, wild river, st croix...good places for hiking too. Never thought about setting up my town and country van for camping..lol, your inspiring!!!

Been doing vans for many decades. I endorse your simplicity in your no- build concept. You got some cool technology but the keep it simple method is the sweetest. Only thing I do not approve of is Porta-Potty that's strictly small shovel in the woods business out of my personal space.

I recommend drilling a small hole 🕳️ in floor and hook up to funnel and hose . Perfect urinal. Best thing I ever did. I usually just shat in a bag a toss in a rando dumpster

Set up is great if u get stranded it's possible always make sure u have enough food and water and heat for an extra week always let a few people know where u r going and where u will b and when u expect to b back so they know when to start searching for u

A genuine thank you for this vid, I first saw it awhile back and it gave me great practical ideas. I can't BEGIN to describe how absolutely and utterly alienating and majorly demoralizing it felt coming across some super mega expensive vans that people do that would literally cost more than somebody just buying some land and plopping an rv/camper/cabin on it. Not everyone is a retired master electrician and DIY handyman, contrary to what a lot of these fancier van builds show. I (sadly) predict that in our lifetime many will need to vanlife if even for awhile, out of pure survival necessity. I live with a family roommate in fairly bad health, and the one bedroom waitlist even in my small rural town for something affordable is sadly years long, so, no-build minivan stuff is where I think I may end up one day if (knock on wood) something bad happens to them, even for just awhile while waiting for apt availability. Dealing with the hellish super humid Tx heat is honestly probably my biggest worry. I can deal with the fairly mild winters here by bundling up and just getting a Mr Buddy heater I'm sure.

i have a 2012 honda odyssey that i put up for sale. after discovering your awesome channel and watching some great episodes, i've removed the "for sale" signage on the honda, planning on a schematic on furniture placement and plan my next fishing trip. oh and Merry Christmas. none of this "happy holidays" bullshit.

Where did you get the covers for windows or did you cut them out yourself? Bc I have a caravan also and the size and shape I can’t seem to find anymore. I have been using blankets and that’s annoying to reallt hang those up everynight.
