Put your own Security features on your vehicle, there are a wide variety of products, however, The best options are stuff you can do yourself. Fuel cut off switches, ignition bypass switches and shutoff switches. Removing or Relocating the Nuetral safety selector, relocating the OBD2 port or even putting a dummy port in the original place. This is ifnyou love your vehicle. It's no different from people who tune vehicles. It's up to you to secure it.
They have an unusual conundrum. They have been buying carbon credits for years and haven’t built anything viable until now. They’ve priced themselves out of the market. They raised prices 50% lol. They are done. I’m had they made a few EVs to offset the hellcats and v8s like ford and GM they would’ve been in better shape. But they had no car for the future. They went balls to the wall gas guzzlers for years lol. They deserve it.
That's what a lot of people wanted. They sold well until the prices became ridiculous. A lot of EVs from GM and Ford are not selling. Yes they should have seen the writing on the wall. Hybrids would have helped. A lot of people don't want straight EVs.
@@98ws6m6cvert but that is what most of their brands stand for. Who the hell would buy an EV Dodge? It's a symbol of Americana, a synonym for a gas guzzler. It's like Apple bringing Android to their phones. Doesn't make sense..
@bc9477 I agree, but the government doesn't see it that way. All they have done is rip off customers and enrich Tesla by buying carbon credits. They could have still been that brand and made an EV, a hybrid, or something to offset their compliance costs. That's why Ford sells more sports cars. They are smarter. GM and Ford seem like the only two that will be left.
Very good observation I will definitely say though that if they don't move these vehicles you'll be able to pick em up for pennies on the dollar cause eventually Stellantintis will want to make some money off of that inventory
I was going to bye a new jailbreak 4 months back. The price was right and was listed at 78 grand. It was a white slim Bobby with the red interior. When I got to the dealership I saw the with the window sticker on the dash and it was at MSRP. Salesman came over started talking and he pulls the window sticker from the dash and turns it over to show me the 30000 mark up!! These dealerships and company are going to get what they deserve hopefully. Robbing people blind. Obviously I told him to go f himself
There slowly becoming not cool anymore. From rappers not showing them and bragging about them. To them being a huge security risk. To dealers being delusional about price. Its all adding up to a massive price cut coming.
True. I went to my local dealer thinking okay I’m picking up a 2023 scat pack wide body for MSRP, and I get there to see them marking it up 10k still. I was like nope and just left lol
I wouldn't say they're not cool anymore due to the fact that you still see these cars everywhere you go and many still want these cars. But everything else you said is definitely a factor.
Don't think price cuts coming for cats and scats. They have nothing to sell but 2023's so they will hold them for asking price. They don't manufacture hemis anymore in the Charger or challenger so they will sell eventually. I do see price cuts on their evs and I6 bs cars and hornets. But nobody wants that s**t
Chargers and challengers are not selling. Every dealership that I monitor has at least 40 to 60 chargers and challengers on lot that have been there since 2022. Their two times the cost of what they should be and the average interest rate being like 8% or more. Nobody’s buying those cars.
You got to remember while they are sitting on the lot they are sitting in the elements.Man won't take that plastic trim long to fade and that paint wont be long after 😅😅
If they sit any longer they may as well replace the flat spotted cracking tires & dried out wiper blades. I’m not buying a “new” car with used car problems.
At some point they have to drop unless they want these cars to just sit there forever. That's what I'm waiting on, everyone else can go for the Scats and Cats. An RT is enough for me.
Here in Texas where I am prices are falling at a few dealerships. I looked at a couple of slim body Hellcats the salesman said he'd let go at about 60/62k. And they were 2023's. The lot was flooded with them and no one was there shopping around. A lot of those cars have been sitting for months. In the next couple of months they probably be down to 50/55k. They are drowning.
Exactly these people want to sell you a V6 for the price of a scat pack ~ get real. The scat pack base model 39,890,00 not sure how they want 55,000,00~70,000,00 they lost their fkn mind.
Yup…back in late 2019. I was seeing slim body base model hellcats for 52k. And slim body base model scats for as low as 28-29 grand. Dealers had numerous of both on their lots. Widebody base model hellcats were as low as 57 grand. And widebody base model scats I saw as low as 37-38. I only searched for manual transmission cars. I kick myself for not snatching one of those back then for those prices…
@fakefurry8269 If you think a challenger/charger is a supercar, you have obviously never driven or ridden in one.. They are far from a supecar.. its a rental car with a big engine..
Imagine spending $60K CAD today on a Charger R/T, I remember when it used to go for roughly $44K CAD before the pandemic. The scats were nicely priced around $53K CAD, now it's $70K - $90K CAD. Dodge/Stellantis needs to drop these prices back down, these cars are somewhat struggling to sell now. 😥
These prices are insane the last couple of years.. I ordered my 2020 Charger Scat Widebody with Plus package and carbon stripes in July 2020 took delivery in Aug 2020. MSRP was $50,981. I paid $41,576 net after $4,555 dealer discount THEN minus $4,850 power dollars rebate...
We're quickly approaching these times again. Most new cars now I see, are under or at MSRP. Trucks especially. It's difficult to not find one under MSRP right now.
As fast as they get stolen, there will be no hellcats on the road in the next five years they get stolen too much if you have a hellcat in 2028 that car will be worth some money maybe more
Fascinating how the Mopar faithful can’t see the similarities between Mercedes Benz takeover and what Stellantis is doing…CDRJ may not survive this one
There was some good that came out of Daimler although it didn't end well. Fiat was actually better than anyone will ever admit. Peugeot is the Death blow for us faithful will be nothing but garbage vehicles now. I can't imagine I will ever buy another new vehicle. Sure do feel like an AMC guy now 😂
Remember when SRT was a division? Remember when there was a 300 SRT? A Magnum SRT? A Charger SRT? A Challenger SRT? A Jeep SRT? When SRT died it was all over for Chrysler. Now with the death of THE HEMI, Dodge is absolutely dead.
I actually work as a dodge tech every single hornet that’s come off the truck has had issues and is waiting to be worked on. Stellantis needs to listen to what their customers want or it will be their downfall
If you watch videos with the ceo's and higher ups of Stellantis it's obvious that they are the extremely liberal world economic forum environmentalist types and want out of all ice production and want to go strictly ev's. Investors need to come in and buy Chrysler from Stellantis otherwise it will go down with the ship with the rest of the now falling Stellantis brands.
I was about to comment the same thing Chrysler only has now one vehicle since the 300 is discontinued they been stopped the 200 it was just a rebaged dart anyway
I actually worked at a CDJR dealership (Stellantis) it IS ACTUALLY that bad. Only steady sales are the RAMS. Other than that NOTHING! Unless you wanna count the money they get from all the Scats and Cats that get stolen from the lot and out of service every month 😂😂
With those prices you can’t afford a home with a garage to keep the vehicle. It’s absurd to be asking luxury prices when they never were. Either go back to normal prices like 39,890,00 for a base scat pack or collect or discontinue their products. These vehicles are not worth buying at these outrageous price. Everything inside is made of plastic even their 10% leather 90% plastic leather seats. Everywhere I go trucks and chargers sitting collecting dust, with all the skyrocketing insurance scams nobody can afford anything anymore. That is how they thank the public.
Bro you yourself saw all the cars on your local dealer not sell. They have over a 500 day supply. It’s not hyperbole when these guys are showing it through the numbers. The data speaks volumes. They work with dealers. The ones they worked with panicked when they had a 200 day supply. You think over a year supply doesn’t have them sweating come on. You’re in denial. No one is buying these cars. Only way that happens is if stellantis starts to heavily incentivize. The dealers won’t drop prices. It has to come from the manufacturers putting up some money. Btw the older guy has 40 yrs of experience he’s not talking out of his butt bro 😂. He knows the business
our local dealer actually has some Scats, along with V6s and R/Ts.. and they have a whole lot full!, of Chargers n Challengers, and 300s too. ive never seen that here before. the whole lot is full of them, and also trucks. and they are not selling. i just dont think people have the money to afford these expensive cars anymore. not everyone can afford a new 30-50k car. and if you need a truck, look at forking over up to 60k or more! plus our local car dealerships love markups! i know i can't afford em
I like your content, very informative .Please stay on top ,I hope to go where your deals takes us all, I just can't understand why dodge is doing away with Oh it's naturally aspirated vehicles (Muscle cars)stay on top 😎
There literally no upside to owning one. It’s that simple. Ain’t an investment. It cost even more for literally no benefit to the consumer. No good clout. No security. Crazy insurance. Negative attention from police. Pitiful performance/innovation/tech since most model/generation debuts.
Man, I want a 392 Widebody Challenger, with a Shaker Hood, stripes… but for them to mark up a $50,000 car to $75,000 is ripping off those of us who like their product! I traded my bomb ass Chrysler 300-S for something else on the DCJR lot… a low mileage, grey with red interior, Alfa Romeo Giulia. It’s quick, beautiful, no mark up costs. I still want that Shaker Challenger 392… but not at a $20,000 mark up
there are like almost 100 brand new scats at the dealers in my big city asking 10 and 12k below msrp. Sticker is 51k but they're asking as low as 40k for brand new scats. So idk what yall are talking about.
I live in Miami and the cars really not selling. Every dealership I pass I see hellcats and Scats sitting outside so it’s true they’re not selling

Nobody is buying NEW CARS right now same shit happen in 08 that in feb of 09 porsche dealers had leftovers all over the place i got a brand new 08 911 meteor gray 6spd 24k off the sticker so just sit tight
They weren’t exaggerating ppl with 100K+ to spend aren’t looking for a stellantis product they fucked over a couple of dummies with high interest rates and price hikes I hope the little bit of money they made off the top was worth it 😂
A tip if you your leaving your mopar parked for a long period of time take out the fuel injection really fuse or just fuse that’ll keep the car from starting anyway
Nobody can afford the inventory with the markup AND interest rates. Banks aren’t financing 20% ON TOP of a hyper depreciating car like Dodge cars. When the invoice comes out, the car payment is > 1000 a month and that’s with a 10-20k down payment which not many people can afford. Eventually prices will be cut to offset the interest rates and they’ll sell again.
You still have to keep in mind they have new cars from 2 years on the lot. Nobody is buying because it’s a double edged sword. You buy and you risk getting it stolen. Or either you buy at a high Interest rate and an overpriced inventory. Period. I think if they don’t move the inventory by the end of next summer prices are going to fall drastically.
Im curious now…going to dealer next week. See what the out door price now then again this summer…if scats are much cheaper then a comparable mustang or camaro im in.
Prices are too high. Especially, for used chargers and challengers. Not mention if you finance the average interest rate is around 9% and you might get 6% if your credit is good.
Its their own fault, im out here in North Texas. I called a dealership on 1 of 10 Scatbacks they had on their lot. They absolutely would not budge on the price and I said, ok good luck carrying those 2023's into 2025...
It was the worst month, but it's going to get worse. I watch them every day, and totally agree with them. Stellantis won't be around after 2024 in my opinion.
Dodge has always been the more expensive sports car, in 2013 a base Corvette coupe was 44k and SRT8's where over 50k, and both the Mustang and Camaro started out around 31k for the 1SS and base GT
I brought a Brand a brand new scat in 2020 for 47000. Ordered a new one in 2022 for 52000 they had a 2021 for 56000 with 11000 miles on it it's always smarter and better to order your car. U save 4 to 5k. And u pick what color u want the inside how u want it.
You're right. If I was getting an EV, it would be a Tesla. I'm not there yet, but getting close. Tesla is the EV brand, but they are also becoming the performance brand. Dodge was stuck between a rock and a hard place - they are a performance brand and they can't run with the Teslas. The massive V8s are tapped out, so they had to do something if they want to to survive long-term.
The pops worked in auto retail management for 40+ years. He be pretty spot on for the most part bro lol it’s not just speculation . And they’re talking across the board looking at the numbers overall
