I was looking at this tablet manufacturer also. I was looking for a rugged phone that I could use for ALL my ham radio use (remote & digital). I went with the Unihertz 8849 Tank 3, it's a brick, same size battery.

Great idea. I bought a Samsung rugged tablet a few years ago specifically for my emergency kit. It stays in a Pelican case with two ankor speakers, extra battery, movie light

that's a great item to own, get extra USB cables, and a heavy duty fariday bag and a carrying case for it. really enjoyed the video.

Great video, thanks for sharing. My older tablets are now back up libraries and in Faraday bags. Along with several flash drives with documents, digital media and more downloaded digital books. I do have a Samsung Tablet with a SIM card for traveling and power outages. It helps keeps the kiddies calm and entertained.

You could also combine this with a USB C compatible FLIR camera attachment and have significantly more screen space to work with vs using a phone. There's also the obvious bonus of being able to download movies and tv shows to keep children entertained and quiet so they don't see you do things to the North Korean paratrooper that just landed in the back yard.

Interesting idea, but what apps for Ham radio and SHTF shituations are on you're tablet? I would like to setup my Fire hd tablet for similar operations and maybe serve as a template for future tablets like yours.

George. Great video. My wife is going to see this video and she will want one. I want one too. I didn't know there was an android app for RTTY and FT8 The manual states memory expandable up to 2 TB. Does it use standard SD or Micro SD cards or some other type? Have a great day. 73's

Micro SD, I had a one terabyte one i forgot about, plugged it in after the video and it works perfectly
