"saved" is good but 'forgave us' is more to the point of what He did.... "Saved" is what we have when we know (believe) about the forgiveness. Some people don't know however they are forgiven; they just don't know to celebrate it in this life.

John 3:16 alone refutes any attempt to "come in some other way" than by simple childlike faith in the Christ (Jesus) , for His doubtless Guarantee of Everlasting Life . Once faith : Forever Life . Or , He lied - which is clearly impossible . He did & finished ALL the work necessary to purchase redemption on our behalf . Or , some measure of it is left up to our wholly fallible , and frankly filthy attempts (till death) to gain entrance into the Kingdom . On that view , having Everlasting Life as a present possession is utterly unknowable . It transforms an Unconditional Promise of endless Life into a Performance Contract . Faith is then clearly just as unknowable . This reduces to Everlasting Agnosticism, the antithesis of belief .

@GESvids (Ken, Bob), do you think reading or watching fiction, is sin? I struggle with that question. -Sometimes I think: Yes, it is, because we’re not supposed to have anything to do with “unfruitful works of darkness”, we’re supposed to “flee immorality”, and “do everything to the glory of God”, etc. -Sometimes I think: No, it’s ok to enjoy fiction, as long as you’re not admiring the evil doers. (Scripture like 1 Cor 8 makes me think it’s ok…as long as my conscience isn’t doubting so.) Anyways, it’s very hard to find advice on this question…the internet is full of very polarized answers (i.e. “Yes, it’s a sin! Throw away your books and tv!” OR plenty of people giving all sorts of grace in this area…implying it’s not a sin.) I don’t want to anger God, but I also don’t want to be legalistic and nitpicky. I would love to hear your thoughts. Thank you!

Amen, well said! Lordship salvation heresy is one of those things that is all about perfectionism. But Bible is ABUNDANTLY clear that a believer in Christ Jesus can live in sin and a loooong time. Is it good? Of course not. But how we behave is not the determiner of our salvation. What we profess to believe from our hearts determines it. Salvation in Christ is one thing, behavior another. And my experience is that most of the time it is always these obvious sins, like lgbtq, stealing, murder etc. Hey, what if a brother in Christ Jesus is gluttonous and does not repent of it? Or say a sister in Christ Jesus just keeps on gossiping all day long about everyone? Or a preacher is a reviler? Those are sins too. So thanks, Wilkin, for this video! Very good. We really need to have hearts of love, grace and compassion, longing for brethren in Christ to live upright lives, but at the same time not to be quiet about sin when it is evident someone sins. No, these burdens do nothing to declare that one is not saved. What is given without merit cannot be taken back for merit-less performance. Theological oxymoron. The flesh of the one that holds the testimony of The Father of His Son (Faith in what Christ has finished), that person's flesh has been circumcised from them and nailed to the cross WITH Christ. They have been separated from the law and eternal judgment. This is not done by human hands (not by our performance or the lack thereof) but by GOD HIMSELF. Having said all that, I don't believe that those passages are speaking of true believers. As Paul does not say, "If a believer". Earlier in the same chapter Paul says the one sleeping with his fathers wife be handed over to the devil for the destruction of his flesh that his soul might be saved. That person is the believer. These others mentioned in the following verses are most likely those identified later in chapter 15 as those who question the resurrection (truly unbelievers). As Paul in other letters (Galatians ect) says that if a brother be found in a fault that two or more go assist. And again in James; to confess your faults one to another etc. I believe the ones identified in 1 Corinthians 5 are not true believers but divisive pretenders.

The Lordship Salvation false teaching that an alcoholic or sexually immoral Christian is "unsaved" is refuted with Galatians 5:13 and Philippians 3:21. Galatians 5:13 - You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to INDULGE THE FLESH; rather, serve one another humbly in love. It is clear in the context of Galatians 5:13 that saved Christians can and do INDULGE THE FLESH with its desires given the right circumstances because we all still have the inborn sin nature, which is the flesh that the apostle Paul talks about in Romans 7:14-25. This inborn sin nature will not be totally eradicated until the very day when Christ comes to take and transform us, but for now prior to the Rapture, we all still have the inborn sin nature that makes us vile occasionally where we will still sin whether intentionally or unintentionally. Philippians 3:21 - Who shall change our VILE body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

Carnal Christian's will not see the kingdom of God. Galatians 5:16-21 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. 17For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: SO THAT YE CANNOT DO THE THINGS THAT YE WOULD. 18But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. 19Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: 👉of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. 👈22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. 24And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. A true repented believe makes every effort to walk in Holiness rather than live to please their flesh.

Paul tells the Galatians that Yahuah is not mocked. Gal 6:7 Be not deceived; Yahuah is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. Gal 6:8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. If I understand this correctly, corruption (greek - decay, ruin (spontaneous or inflicted) ; literally or figuratively. destroy or perish). As in 1Co 5:4 In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, 1Co 5:5 To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus. Is this the reaping of corruption Paul is speaking about in Galatians? Also: Heb 12:5 And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: Heb 12:6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. Heb 12:7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? Heb 12:8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons. Heb 12:9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live? Heb 12:10 For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness. Heb 12:11 Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby. Is this part of a the correction bringing a "brother" back to repentance? Is this how it's done?

Malachi 3:6 For I am the Lord, I change not; It's not a loss of rewards, it's not earthly punishments or whatever else sort of way you want to try and twist it to soothe your own conscience, it is eternal separation from God and eternal damnation and suffering in hell. It is an idolatry of self because you refuse to surrender to a Mighty, Holy, and Worthy God. Youd rather serve yourself than serve The Master, as His Word commands us to do. You're a lover of yourself and not a lover of God. You don't love God nor do you really want anything to do with Him, yet you know He IS God and you know hell is real, so you try to twist His Precious Word to fit your self idolatry so you can have the world and escape hell. Being born again is NOT something new, it was happening in Jesus time and even before Jesus came, being born again is nothing more than becoming a new person, Jesus questioned Nicodemus over this saying and it amazed Jesus that Nicodemus didn't know what He was talking about, had it not been happening, why would Jesus have been shocked that Nicodemus didn't know what He was talking about, it's only when a person repents and changes his ways and mind, at this time they become born again, their not the same person they were after they repented, it happens when someone hears the word of God concerning sin ( breaking God's Law ) and they repent, God forgives them and they are no longer the same person that was destined for destruction but rather a person destined for life eternal, as far as alcoholism goes, it takes MANY times getting drunk to become a alcoholic, the evidence one's become a alcoholic is clear cut, an alcoholic cares only about themselves, he will neglect his responsibilities as a father or mother or employee all because he didn't CONTROL the amount of alcohol he drank, getting drunk is not a sin, getting drunk many times will cause you to sin, the sin would be against yourself and those around you or those that rely on you, the biggest problem an alcoholic has is loving his neighbor as himself , he's actually loving himself MORE than his neighbor not to mention his own family, there are MANY people that drink that can control their drinking, their drinking will never cause them to sin, the bible does NOT condemn them, there are occasions where getting drunk is acceptable, like a wedding, a birthday, or some other celebration , as weird as it seems, many people drink alcohol for the taste and coffee too, lol, they actually like it, to say someone is sinning because they drink alcohol is a LIE, there's a time and a place for everything, there's even a time when you've had ENOUGH, drinking more is not going to make you feel better, it's only going to rob you of your senses, you will think you can drive a car but it's a proven fact that too much alcohol and driving a car is pure STUPID not to mention if you kill someone accidently how your going to feel after IF you have a conscience, just do it at home and by all means don't do it every day unless you know your limits, alcoholics DON'T know their limits, sexual immorality? what the heck are they doing to the scriptures now, that word can mean anything that's immoral sexually to another, that word is taking a word that is specific in meaning and creating DOUBT in the mind of a person that doesn't know the Law, it's FORNICATION not sexual immorality, fornication MEANS unlawful sexual CONTACT, contact is important, it has to do with even touching a woman if your a man, especially if your married, touching another man's wife can lead to adultery, touching a woman that's not married can lead to rape unless she is okay with it, like in a boyfriend girlfriend situation or a betrothed situation, that is expected, although it must be mutual, Paul deals with this in 1 Cor. 7 but your translation won't show you that, he concludes speaking to the UNMARRIED when he adds the widows in his scenario, he goes even farther speaking to these unmarried people giving instructions to them IF they can't control their emotions, he says to let them " marry" which IS NOT nor does NOT have anything to do with marriage or man's customs but everything to do with sexual intercourse, the sentences before that only pertain to touching, that's holding hands, hugging, kissing and whatever or however else their touching each other, it's NOT the act of sexual intercourse, Paul is teaching Jewish customs on how to get a wife and a husband, to Paul it was what we call it today an arranged marriage, arranged by the fathers of the two, love marriages didn't happen, fathers chose whom the daughter would marry, the same for a son, it was called a betrothal, being betrothed was equivalent to being married only not by LAW once betrothed the woman was viewed as the man's wife ( only not by law ) it was Jewish customs Paul was teaching to the JEW not the gentile, was Paul against the custom's of other nations and how they got a " wife" not at all, Paul said to render unto every man their own customs, we do NOT in this country follow the traditions or customs concerning the way a man gets a wife or a woman gets a husband, it's NOT up to the fathers whom we marry, it's up to US, the man and the woman, we have our own customs in this respect and it begins with dating, not betrothal, the same principles apply in dating that our own law is in full agreement with Jewish law and customs, touching? holding hands, kissing, hugging and whatever, if it's NOT mutual consent, it's RAPE, how did this happen, dating? the most obvious answer is it's the WILL of the fathers NOW for their daughters to choose whom they desire to marry, son's too, why it happened should also be obvious IF your a father, a father of their time would lean more to picking a husband for his daughter based on how much money and power the son has, love is second fiddle, to a young person, love comes first, whom they fall in love with has nothing to do with money and power, that happens as we age, irregardless it WILL come into play in TIME, but then again it might not, it's truly a flip of a coin basing your life on the future, any man can get rich just as any man that's rich can become poor, expectations too high will only lead to disappointment plus when the love grows cold so does the responsibility of what that love created, Jesus had His own view on whom God had joined together and I can assure you it has nothing to do with man's customs or traditions, I would love to explain it but if your given to customs and traditions there's no way you'll understand it, but I will tell you what the law say's concerning a single man and a single woman having sex together and their NOT MARRIED nor are they children still living under their fathers rule, it's NOT FORBIDDEN, Lev. 15:16-24 is the law that pertains to them, it's a cleanliness law that's ALL, no different from any other cleanliness law concerning any bodily fluid leaving a man's body and what to do to be clean, WASH in WATER and be clean after a set amount of time, the fact their not married if you know what adultery is the law say's " ANY MAN " if she is married and just any man had sex with her it would have been adultery, what I do know about this word woman and man, it's NOT a FREE for ALL as some would assume, she and he should be in some type of committed relationship or whoredom spoken of by the prophets means nothing, whoredom means having MORE than ONE LOVER, not "wife", there is judgement on whoredom and I know it's directed to the UNFAITHFUL and there's NO judgement on the faithful, STD's is the judgement in case your wondering and feel blessed if you don't get one and your whoring
