I started drinking mineral type alkaline water (not the electrolised "Kanzen" type alkaline water) while monitoring my Blood pressure and Urine pH. (I have a biochemistry degree and a Chemistry degree.) In 2 weeks, my Blood pressure has actually dropped by 10mm Mercury - from about 144 gradually to about 134 and within 4 weeks my urine pH rose drom about pH 5.1 to about 6.4. (Many years earlier I nearly died if acidic type kidney stones infection). So alkaline water IS good for MY health I am now over 70 and very healthy. Believe it or not.
Urinary pH does not reflect blood pH, which is what is really important. And blood pressure and urinary pH change all the time depending on a variety of factors. So what do you mean by an "acidic type kidney stone infection"? Are you aware that kidney stones can form in acidic or alkaline urine? And that too high of a urinary pH is indicative of a urinary tract infection as the bacteria that cause the infection need an alkaline pH to survive and thrive? This is why the bacteria use the enzyme urease to form highly alkaline ammonia in the urine to create that alkaline pH they need to survive and thrive. This is a great example of why personal testimonials are not evidence.

The main function of the kidneys is to detoxify the circulatory system. I believe that is why I had an increase in urine production and lastly the alkaline water boosted my immune system and reduced the potency of the flu virus in my body at that time. When talking about pH and health this refers to the blood, which NEVER really goes acidic. You would be dead long before it could reach an acidic pH. Renaldo Roy Real alkaline water is electrically charged which completes either the positive or negative charge that are in the minerals that are naturally in your water. For example: You don’t put baking soda (aka sodium bicarbonate) in you water. Sodium (Na+) that’s already in water has a positive charge and is seeking it’s negative charge....one of these charges can be bicarbonate (HCO3-) by charging the water with an ionizer (I use a Tyent) you give the minerals the charges that they need naturally. It’s not chemically altered its electrically altered. BIG difference. I have a reverse osmosis unit under my sink. I measured 10.5 on the ph scale. And i think it was 80 ppm tds. I do feel better and my gut does also. I drink alot of beer and one cup of java a day. I feel the difference when i drink my alkaline water. Blessings All.
RO water is devoid of minerals so it won't measure 10.5. Somehow you're getting minerals in it or your ph tester is off. RO water usually measures about 4.ph

You could actually get that same effect from dissolving baking soda into filtered water, because baking soda is a weak base, same as the alkaline, but much cheaper. But the products they use in alkalized water can cause liver damage, like happened to children that drank the Real Water brand alkaline water. Scientifically speaking, it is cheaper and equally effective to drink baking soda water

I would say alkaline water has helped me tremendously with acid reflux as I have struggled with it for 12 year's. Currently for the last few months since consuming alkaline water bouts of acid reflux has lessen from daily to maybe less than weekly, BUT I must add I had to adjust my food menu also too maximize the benefits of drinking alkaline water.
Perhaps your change with food is helping, but anything caustic or alkaline that you drink will just make your stomach secrete MORE acid to neutralize it with. Don't fall for the marketing scam that "alkaline water" is.

That urine test was not done properly. Because they both eat different things such as fruits,vegetables, and possibly other sources of fluids. If you want to do a test they most eat the same thing and no type of prescriptions,etc. Also they did not measure the amount of alkalinity in the urine or blood. So for me this is probably a way of a doctor making sure they still get sick patients in to their clinics.. 🧐
Being drinking alkaline water for a year now . I started drinking purify sea water first after being diagnose with arthritis. My swelling my immobility my sharp pains started to disappear after just 3 days . There's more minerals in sea water bur alkaline water is cheaper and more reachable. The first thing these alkaline water meets when you drink them is your stomach acid. It will therefore neutralize your stomach acid for some time before your body goes about re-correcting the upset. Why would you want to neutralize your stomach acid? Wouldn't the stomach acid be there for a purpose by nature? Why it is good to knock it out periodically?

I hate tap water....it feels harsh on my throat and I avoid fluoride. I was buying spring water from the supermarket hut found they started sneaking chloride and fluoride into that water too.... I then went to the local mineral pools where they also sell and refill bottles of alkaline water from a natural spring from our mountain....and it's cheaper than the bottled water at the supermarket!!!!!!! I I litterally can't drink any other water now.... all other water feels "empty" and i can smell the chlorine! Alkaline water is also far far smoother especially when I have a sore throat..... my skin is super radiant now and I have less "trouble spots" urine is clear and frequent. I've noticed a massive difference since drinking natural alkaline water , so theres my 2 cents worth :p
I was suffering acid reflex for very long time and I used apple cider vinegar(AVC) and lemon juice to suppress acid reflex. It am drinking alkaline water for 3 days and last night did not need ACV and did not have any reflex. Alkaline water really works to cure acid reflex. About producers pee, I can say that my frequency of pee and bowl movement increased a little. Before I was drinking only bottle water. Hope this information helps someone.
Instead if doing the test for 2 days it should of have been for 2 months. I think that it will actually make a difference. It's like watering a plant for 2 days vs 2 months there will be a bigger difference if they actually were honest and allowed the water to make a difference.

Someone seeking truth would have made the experiment time many days longer, would be eating the exact same meals at the exact same time of day, and test their urine at the same time after each meal. AND the study group would be much larger than 2 people. A Patient cured is a customer lost.

exactly. People that talk about blood pH have missed the point. Kidneys excrete waste products (uric acid, etc..) most effectively around a pH of 7. If you achieve that naturally, congratulations. But If you have an acidic diet, and/or a high monosodium urate load in your tissues, your urine pH may be in the 5.0-6.0 range, the kidneys do not filter effectively at this pH, and thus you need to counter the acidity with something alkaline, between 20 and 100 milliequivallents/day of alkalinity.

For me. No gout attacks. I got diagnosed about 5 years. Started drinking alkaline water. Only 2 gout attacks. I eat everything I want. Shrimp, red meat, beers. So I dont know???

Yes, thats because bottled water is alkalinized through a chemical process which is not natural. They add minerals but then again it's harmful for you because you're drinking out of a plastic bottle that releases chemicals after being stored and moved around for the avergage period of 6 or more months before it even gets to the shelf when you buy it. By that time the bottle already released carcinogens that will do more harm than good despite of it being chemically alkaline water.

Doing intermittent fasting and avoiding dinners has helped me massively. Edit: I'm actually doing OMAD with 1600-1800 calories involving chicken wings, cheese and some veggies. Occasionally if I feel cute I fast once or twice a week, I've been losing pounds, helping me get control of eating portions and cravings.
Fasting actually slows down the metabolism, and the body can respond by putting on more weight in the long run to prepare for future starvation periods.
@@Clips69 Losing weight is not always that easy. There are many reasons for weight gain, and therefore there is no single method for weight loss that will work for everyone. Weight gain from estrogen replacement therapy for instance is not going to be treated simply by reducing calorie intake. Same for hypothyroid induced weight gain or weight gain from some types of diabetes.
@@Hveragerthi that would be true if we weren’t taking about intermittent fasting. The body actually isn’t built to eat 3 meals a day and we would be healthier eating 1 meal with an occasional snack for energy every now and then. Intermittent fasting is not the same as your body being starved. After 3 days of getting out of the binge eating habit (yes eating 3 meals a day is binge eating that originated with the wealthy class) is unnoticeable (in my experience). As someone who had to cut and gain weight for powerlifting every season I can drop from 280 to 230 in 2 months and feel completely fine. I understand not everyone is the same but, for me intermittent fasting, high fiber, high protein, and reduced starchy carbs works. But of course if it was easy everyone would do it.
They never mentioned what brand of alkaline water they tried. The brand makes all the difference in the world. After 15 years of consumption Dream Tree (naturally processed) or Core (bottled) have yielded overall very AWESOME health benefits.

I had very poor kidney function caused by probably using too many nsaids for pain over many years. I also had many kidney stones over the years. After changing my diet to a less acidic diet and changing my water intake to an alkaline water of 8 to 9 ph my kidney function improved very significantly. My urologist and nephrologist both agreed the change was due to the change in diet and ph water. Also I stopped drinking anything other than water and lots of it. Both doctors said that was also a factor. Bottom line I was facing possible dialysis before correcting my acidic habits.
High pH waters such as ionized alkaline waters are immediately neutralized by stomach acid. Any real doctor would have known this super basic fact. And such waters have no effect on our blood pH. Our pH is not regulated by what we ingest.
Im not a doctor but I'm confident in saying it's the diet not really the water. If you didn't drink enough water overall before & now do then the water makes a big difference. But the alkaline thing is nonsense. Especially artificially alkalined, which is harmful & is what most of it is. Many others have as well and done their own little experiments. Once again Kangen is not a company so you will he corrected once again in that Kangen is not a company. I will explain a pyramid scheme for you real quick so you don’t have to look it up for yourself (even though it’s rather easy to do so). A pyramid scheme first off is illegal. You have a person on top who then has multiple legs of people under then, and those people have multiple legs under them, etc. Everyone on the bottom level gives money to those above them, and so on. Once this is complete, then the person on top goes to the bottom and the people under that person move up. Then the cycle repeats. The people who are at the bottom get screwed and the people on top are the ones who made out. Once again illegal. There is literally nothing about what we are doing that is a pyramid scheme.
@@johnmadden52 Electrolytes can slow water influx, which is a good thing. On the other hand there are many types of electrolytes, Not all good. For example, sulfuric acid is an electrolyte, but not one you should ingest.
My tap water is too acidic for me, im very picky with water cus i have some strong taste buds and acidic water leaves my mouth dry and sour, and taste like something (it shouldnt have a taste)

Yes alkaline water is smoother and light going into body. Feels cleaner going through body. Another thing you need to use the kangen water machine to get the full goodness not from a plastic bottle. Drinking from the plastic has contaminated the whole point of the alkaline water. Might want to do this test again using the kangen machine.
It hits an acid wall with a pH of 2 need we do some math 2-9 3-8 4-7 -5-6 the final pH level is 5-6 which is still acidic and thats going 1-1 a perfect 50/50 ratio. Not to mention your blood has a pH of 7.4 thats maintained very very strenuously because 0.05 in any direction is bad for the human. It's a sign something is wrong and usually discovered in a hospital acidosis or alkalosis. Not to mention past a pH of 9 is just unhealthy. Your body uses acid to kill. It's there for a defensive reason and you want to bypass it?
Kangen water is not just alkaline. The electrical process makes the water structured so it's hydrating, and also adds life energy. It appears they're confused about the claims in that they sound like they're refuting claims of Kangen water users, but just referring to it as alkaline water.

That alkaline water turned my urine clear..i was dehyrated amd i just drank 1 bottle at 2pm today..11pm now and my urine os crystal clear when it was dark yellow. I drink a lot of sodas and was barely drinkimg water.

@@Michael-vf5id If a powder then I would say no. The ionized alkaline water uses electrolysis requiring water to form the mineral(metal) hydroxides. Although, some companies do add the powdered hydroxides to water to make them alkaline so in the long run they would still be basically the same. You would have to look at the ingredients to determine what is being used to make the water alkaline.
I drank regular water 2 Ltr every day for two weeks and had my coffee without sugar and milk And honestly lost 2 kg that’s about 4,5 pounds or something,,,,so now I’m adding two weeks.
