With the F1 being my favorite car of all time, I had to get one. So I bought one for $200 USD almost 6 years ago exactly. Before buying it, I only had Maisto and Bburago models and I thought I was crazy for paying that much for a model considering that was the value of my entire collection at that point. Fast forward 6 years, and I've just spent 3 times that price on a BBR Enzo lol. It is one that I will never ever sell, and the crown jewel of my collection. If I could only keep one model of my close to 75 model collection, it would be this. I originally wanted one in silver, but after I got my black one I fell in love and it shows the lines so well. Overall, however, it is an absolute must have, and it is worth every cent like the real car is. Every single detail is there, and it is a true work of art. Get one while you still can, it's a forever model for me. Also, I love your MC12! If you ever consider selling, please keep me in mind. It's one of the few left that I need and can't seem to find!
Hi Nick, yes I was in the same position 5/6 years ago but I went with the minichamp's 1/12 McLaren f1 over the aa F1 instead buts its still a great model but has not appreciated like the aa F1 i also have got the enzo by BBR and i would also agree its probably the best diecast 1/18 model ever made in my eyes, please subscribe for more videos to come soon thanks 👍
Solido makes a 1:18 diecast f1 gtr now and have 2 liveries out and more on the way including a lm spec. I got both so far on eBay for 60$ each and will probably get the new ones as they come out this year.
The prices really gone crazy. I just checked for the AUTOart McLaren F1 and even found one offer on ebay Germany. It's also an orange McLaren F1 LM Edition and it is on sale for € 899.99 - and seeing the Certificate of Authenticity with a serial number 3631 is also telling me that this model is not even rare. Although AUTOart was doing great work on the details but that's not the size of my wallet. So I guess I'd rather buy the Solido version of the F1. They also have a cool Gulf version of it. Thinking about how many of them you could get for 900 Euros :-D
Hi yes totally agree they really have gone absolutely crazy both versions the F1 and the F1 LM the roadcar is completely out of my budget at the moment and im looking at the solido version instead and its still a great model to add 900€ is way too much
Hi JRC, yes exactly due to the newer not as popular composite models the old aa signature models are going sky high as they are more collectible and desirable for collectors 👍
I am very lucky and fortunate enough to own the Autoart McLaren F1 roadcars in silver, champagne, black and white as well as the LM. Yes, they are very expensive but you can get one at around $600 to $700usd (still expensive) if you look around or have contacts. I say pick your favorite color and go for it
Hi Gabriel, wow you have an incredible collection of McLaren F1s, did you buy them all from new? Yes I’m trying to get the sliver one if it comes up on eBay for a good price I will go for it 👍 please subscribe for more videos to come soon thanks 👍
Genuinely I don't think that the AA sig F1 road car is worth dumping that much money into. Beautiful addition btw with the LM. I've got the 1:12 minichamps McLaren F1 road car in blue, which I'm so glad I got 3 years ago for 480 aud bc now it's worth north of 800 aud. The detail is as good if not better than the AA sig and its bigger. Also I have two AA Sigs which are the only ones I have but I am absolutely grateful with the ones I have. They are the Aventador Roadster in Azzuro Thetis which I got back in 2016 for 260 aud and now that specific spec is worth 1.2K, the other one is the MC12 just like ur one. I plan on getting the AA millennium CGT in black can u tell me ur thoughts on that?
Hi David, yes I have got the 1.12 minichamps McLaren f1 model and its great, I was in the model shop deciding which one to buy between the aa f1 1/18 and the 1/12 by minichamps many many years ago and I ended up going with the minichamps model I don't regret it still love that model. You got some very rare aa sig Lamborghinis which are worth a lot now and the mc12 is a great model. I have never owned a aa millennium model but I have not heard or seen anything bad about their models they look great and are highly detailed. I have the cgt by motor max and that's a great model for a cheap price very detailed, just as an alternative for you if you don't want to spend too much money on an autoart model 👍
I have the AA Millennium CGT, in black, which I got for about 340€ on ebay (from Japan). Car is magnificent and probably the best Porsche CGT you can get. I wanted the Silver one but I couldn't find one below 450€... Hopefully I find someone to trade my black one for the silver one in the future. I really like to have the cars from my collection in the colours I like them in the most.
F1 is surely a wonderful model, but I think 1000 bucks are too much expensive for a model car. I recommend you buying the 1/43 signature one, that costs way less and has almost the same details.
Hi Simo, yes it is a great and highly detailed model but the price is just way too much for me at the moment that's a good idea and I always wanted that model to add to my 1/43 collection 👍
$1,000 that is a lot of money there I won't even spend over $200 for a model car so $1,000 is definitely out of the picture the most I would do is $150 and that's it I cant justify $1,000 for a model car
Hi thanks for watching yes it is getting ridiculous now with these old AUTOart models unfortunately $1000 will be the most I have ever spent by a long way so I will have to wait until they are at a more reasonable price 👍
Hi thank you for watching yes it’s way too much for a model car and your totally right they list them on eBay because there are people who pay that price but it’s getting ridiculous now will have to wait until they are more reasonable please subscribe for more videos to come soon thanks 👍👍
I called it greed pure greed I might sell my model for twice what I got but to sell a model for 7 or times more than what I paid... to me that's just being heartless and abusive but than again there are those who are willing to take the abuse I guess you can't blame the seller if the buyer is willing to pay 7-8 times what the original price was the same happens with the real cars but I am not one to pay that much twice the price is my max
@@CarsWithHNK maybe it will be more ideal but you show many car so I think it's looks will be not great when cars are on the acrylic stand. Also thanks for your ideas.🙏🏼
In my opinion regarding this video, I personally say NO. CMC Mercedes-Benz 600 1/18 costs $1,000 and AutoArt 1/12 and some 1/18 models (even rarer) cost between $600 and $1,000. The $1000 model car is like you buy an iPhone 12 or an iPhone 12 Pro and other high end phones.
Hi John, yes i would have to agree with you prices have gone crazy these past few years and will have to wait to try and find one at a more reasonable price, cmc are great too im looking to add the SLR by cmc also, please subscribe for more videos coming soon thanks
