I used to be one, but not anymore Not only because of 3.5, Hoyoverse pampering Ayaka like their precious princess has left me with a sour impression that Aether x Ayaka ship is almost slowly feeling like a blatantly imposed writer fiat

I feel like there's a really obvious list between platonic and romantic interactions in game. Noelle, Kokomi, Ayaka , keqing, xiao etc...vs friends like ninguang, yanfei, shinobu, albedo etc

I'd have to disagree, it feels forced to me. Ayaka doesn't have consistent dialogue with the Traveler to develop into a romantic relationship. Their interactions are limited to events that occur every 2-6 months. Then again Traveler is a blank slate when it comes to other character interactions, so that the player can imprint their own thoughts on. And like the guy said above, Genshin-Hoyo seems to have a favourable bias with Ayaka, so that deters me from any enjoyment with Ayaka.

@@mellowedeye She has had other friends the problem is they see her as Ayaka of the Kamisato clan and not just ayaka. The traveler is the only one who sees the real her and treats her normally. She even says the there is only one person who is truly able to get close to her. Definitely sees the traveler as more then a friend.

As much as you hate it, it ain't stopping for sure. You could consider not caring about ships (that's what I do, I don't ship anyone) because at the end of the day, they are still a buncha cartoon characters and there's more to life than being that upset about fictional characters flirting.
