The less imrpovements to HUT and EASHL -cash grabs, the better. Offline modes and actual game mechanics have been left in an unacceptable state and need actual attention.
70% of players play ESHL and HUT, if those modes will not get any improvements others will not exist. I agree others also need attention but they will never take priority unfortunately. Also, my video is focused on HUT not other modes I don’t play them and can’t really talk about
Been playing EA NHL going back to 1993. NHL '94 was the Classic. Throughout the 90's ideas became great because it made the franchise exciting with one timers added. Sorry for being all over the place, but the NHL franchise was fun even through the 2000s. Something seemed to flip on the 2010s-2020. Hard to say on a keyboard, but maybe have a trade engine for HUT teams? Like a real life GM. You get a set of cards aka your team from base card only. After your players have built chemistry, started putting up points, getting Wins in Rivals/HUT Champs, maybe do a Transfer Window where EA sets out a certain select of limited edition 99 cards of 5 players (3 Forwards, 2 Defenseman, 1 Goalie, maybe a TOTY types), but you have to make a trade that makes sense like 2 GMs negotiating. If there's a TOTY set in place before the "season" begins say October and you know come January, you want a certain player, your team you've built from scratch, maybe EA has a trade generator asking for say 3 of your forwards who may be a 95 since you built their attributes through playing? You have to make a tough decision on a 3 for 1 trade or walk away, but if you accept trade for a 99, but lose 3 95s, you can put your 99 on your team and rebuild 2 new players from your reserved roster? I don't know. Just hoping for greener pastures in NHL '25. 😻🙏🙌
I actually like the idea but to implement something like that would be a lot of new coding and work. I just want to see something NEW in HUT and something I could say - WOW, no others games have it
I’m getting to this now as we got the NHL25 trailer which is bad, but also kind of nice because I get to see what things you had on your wish list came to fruition(ist)

Team Builder sets- great idea! I like this. I believe this is how NHL should be doing their sets. It makes it feel like authentic card collecting which is something sorely lacking in this game. This idea is 10/10 one thing they should also do is have be where the card that we lock in we get to keep and doesn’t just turn into nothing and go into the abyss
@@DinoKristaExactly! Trading in our cards and then vanishing into the abyss of whateverness is awful. They should still be useable and shouldn’t just be gone into poof once the set is completed

This couldn’t wait. I love love love your idea for x-factors YES! Absolutely! YES! One hundred percent! Keep the puc/coin method for those who do not have the time or whatnot to play the game like me and other people who are playing nhl all year round. This would be such a tremendously good idea so that they can upgrade the card how they like and we can by grinding and doing objectives. Phenomenal idea! LOVE IT! It kind of gives off the vibe of like the parallel system in MLB. I like the fact every team gets 1 representative, but guys like, Kucherov, Point, Hedman, Vasy, Draisaitl, Barkov, Malkin, etc they’re gonna get snubbed and that’s not fair to the guys who wants to use their cards. Edit: just finished the x-factor section and no EA should NOT get rid of x-factors that would be so so so dumb. X-factors have so much potential to be a great thing for the game.
Agree with your take on Rivals. However I will say I think ea should remove this gambling aspect of ultimate as a whole. Much like Hut Champs Rivals should be set to getting x amount of wins with 15-20 wins being how u get the top reward. No more gambling for the rewards it’s not fair to the online fellas who put their time into the game to get good rewards. I can understand what u mean by the classic rivals being the #1 main way for rivals, and I think if they had the “separate mode” of rivals burst or international periods or overtime 1 goal wins or shootout mode would be FANTASTIC way for players to choose what mode they’d like to play and still get the rewards as others do. So pretty basically HAVE MORE OPTIONS is what I’m trying to say.
@@DinoKrista I wasn’t playing nhl at that time but it does seem like that’s what more people would prefer so as long as EA does what makes the player base happy that’s all that matters to me
as for one thing I would change IDK there is so much but I definitely agree menus are so slow and Guaranteed rewards is needed. I also really want them to add a multi sell option so say I have 5 cards that I all want to list at say 1949 SP 1999 BIN I want to be able to select them all at once even and list them at the same time regardless of if there the same card or different as long as there price is the same I wish they'd allow it. Also think they should up how many cards you can have for sale at the same time.
Moments. Sure. The idea of getting daily moments to complete for a pack on a Friday is a good idea. I think it has the potential to be something good but if ea makes the rewards stink then the idea could just blow right up.
Agreed with your take on Team of the Week. The only reason Team of the Week is any good is for the people that have Team of the Year and Team of the Season. Those players are hoping to see one of their guys(or girls) name it so they know their card got an upgrade. That is that. I like your idea on Team of the Week. Will it happen? Probably not ever.
Squad Battles if they *want* to keep 5 goals and 20 shots than make it where if we get those 5 goals and 20 shots give us the prompt to leave the game so that we can get into the next game quicker and we don’t spend 20+ minutes playing a game. For those who want to, make sure that’s still an option for those who have jobs or go to school like me playing 20+ minute game 37 games a week isn’t gonna happen. Oh and for the love of all things nice and holy get rid of the gamble to make it into the top 100! Remove that! Put it at win based or something bc the gamble to get top 100 is outrageous!.
Events- have it be 1 week events. TWO weeks at the VERY MOST. 3-4 week events are always boring and really just no fun. Keep things short, nice and simple. Don’t make everything so long, boring, and over complicated.
I completely disagree with almost everything you said about team builders. It would literally only incentivize big money spenders. same with what you said about x factors. if they take out power ups they also need to take out the coin option. in HUT 99 means 99 everything unlike in other sports games where there can be objectively bad 99s. moments should stay the same but do it so you get the base version of the card and earn collectables to upgrade the card and if you are not as good at the game you can't get them all the way up. I agree they should get rid of old gen and only focus on next gen and make it 10 divisions in rivals that would be so much better than the 5 divs we have now. I agree with what you said about comp seasons. it should be 20 games determines your ranking but after that you can still play and get the amount of wins required to get the best version of the card. or maybe keep the best version in the top 100 but a very close second for 20 wins or something like that. I 100% agree with the way they make you complete sets and open packs takes forever. for example I made all 6 99s yesterday and I was completing sets opening up packs and upgrading cards for nearly 2 hours. it just shouldn't take that long. great video overall of course there was bound to be some stuff we disagreed on but overall for most of the stuff it is all stuff the community would like very much. again great video!
I think there always will be two sides of the coin, I look at things from my side and what I would like. :) For me team builders should be - "build Team" Not Build "random cards from the team". There always will be people who spend money as thats the mode unfortunately, even in MLB where everuthing is free people spend money, not sure why but they do. On X factors - Not everyone can play and grind objectives thats why I think the cost of upgrade should be quite high if they would use coins for example. Agree a little on moments but my point was more based on people who are not good at the game, do whatever you like but make it so EVERYONE can get the end reward, in HUT its a lot about how good you are and not how much you play. There is literally 0 chance to be able to get some rewards from offline grind of you arent good, online is a different thing - it should be skill base but not offline. @@DinoKrista in Lower divisions the team builder idea is fine because most players play on a similar level despite the cards they have. but in higher divisions that idea would be hell it would ruin comp play. it would be spend the most money win the game. the way div one and two are played if you have better card than your opponent you will have a significant advantage because that card will be taller faster stronger and more shifty with the puck. giving 99 TB options day one would just guarantee the best players in the game wold be the ones that spend the most amount of money.
But is this not already in the game? Teams you see day one with all PUI and X factors, etc.. Again, I never will know the pain you feel in D2 or D1 as I am just a D3 max player so its different :) Anyway, not like EA would ever add anything of what I said there 😂
Hut has not been overhauled since like 2017 lol or before its just seems like it gets more attention because people spend money , they have added sb and really not much else when you think about it same animations same menu style same layout.
THIS! To be fair, if WOC would have any advantage of spending money you would see the same result. Its just the mode itself and if you can buy any kind of advantage , players will do it. I just dont get why people think EA cares about HUT when they dont, maybe because there is content released so players take that as - they add new things but its just part of the mode as well.
