😅 you’ve got this. When you get to the point where you grab your cane on your way out the door without even thinking about it, it’s a fabulous feeling of freedom. Go for it!

Woohoo! I use a cane too, I'm partially blind. :) One eye is blind and other is impaired. :D I like my cane tons. :) People see me around walking with my cane. :) I asked my eye dr after I stopped using it if i should use it and he said YES . :)

When I was doing my O&M training, we were in town and there was a low hanging branch. I saw it because I have low vision but going totally blind. I asked my instructor if you just run into overhead things when you’re blind. She was like, ummmmm yeah I’m sorry. I lol. I thought of that when you mentioned the low hanging branch in your neighborhood. I’m a positive person and life is always an adventure. 95% of Visually Impaired persons on the US don’t use a van or a guide dog. I’m a cane user, but on a waiting list for a guide dog.
