You'll always be better off with low premium silver because when prices increase it will benefit you disproportionately because you simply have more ounces.
I have never seen an ten ounce APMEX bar cheaper than 10 one oz rounds at Apmex. I will also say APMEX is the only online dealer I buy from. I love you APMEX! 😆
Same with the 1oz bars. Makes no sense, but the 1oz bars are consistently more than the 1oz rounds. Even if it is just by a little bit, when they are sold for the bullion value alone, it is just odd.
That's not true... Capital gains tax makes that statement not true at all... The lack of taxation makes the premium less on silver eagles. Much easier to sell when you don't have to fill out forms and get taxed
If and when silver goes up in price, according to Local Coin shops and bullion dealers an oz of silver will be worth an oz of silver, premium silver wont fetch any more money. Maybe after a while of acclimation a premium might appear, but not when prices initially rise.
Great video. I like them both equally. While I do stack the Eagles, I also stack 5 and 10 ounce bars just for the weight. When it comes to gold however, strictly Eagles and Britannia's for me.
To hell with Eagles, why waste your money on a stupid bird. You can get 4 ounces of generic for every 3 eagles, which is assinine. If silver goes to $100 an ounce, you are $100 short of what you could have had.Why would anybody only accept 3/4 of their value for a "pretty bird". If you are stacking for retirement, you are throwing away 1/4 of your retirement money.
What exactly makes "premium silver" the way to go??? Because you want to look like a big shot? Silver is silver, and there is no bonus pay for having "premium silver". You are just robbing yourself of the extra ounces you could have had if you weren't trying to show off.
Every one tells me not to keep buying from apmex but so far I’ve bin happy big selection and fare prices it’s the collecter pieces that carry a nice premium but that’s every where. My opinion
I am waiting for my first 10 oz. Coin I purchased from Ampex . 2014 10 oz. Noah's Ark. I bought it in the beginning of this dip. Cost me only $312.60. it is being shipped 08/13/24. I am becoming a fan of 10 oz. Pieces .
We are working on that, anything in particular you are looking for? We have a large assortment here: www.apmex.com/category/85421/gold-charms-lockets-pendants
@@apmex I'll just have to continue to wait because I've already put in my notifications for some it's been months ago. I rather have 1/2oz AGE pendant and a pendant bezel for a 5gram gold bar. Also looking to get more of the Simpsons coins, specifically Homer!
National soverign type coins are definitely the way to go but Eagles? I think not. Sit on a Britannia and an Eagle for 20 years. Your making less profit on the Eagle without a doubt.
ASE's make good Christmas and Birthday gifts but the resale spread is not worth taking a loss. Also, considering how much you pay for ASE's its even more irritating when they get spotty. Sometimes you get a tube of ASE's with 20-40% spotty coins.
When the shtf silver eagles will be the last to be sold or bought. Silver Bullion rounds and bars. Silver will be spot-price. Silver eagles you buy at $30 plus dollars and is backed up by the US for what it says on the back $1 dollar. Silver will be bought and melted to bulk to provide the industry with what they need.
Bought my first monster box of silver eagles in 2014. Paid $19.95 per coin. About the same time I bought a monster box of silver maple leafs. Paid $17.15 per coin. So it seems the eagles have always had a higher premium. But today...premiums are ...shall we say, ridiculous! Won't be buying any eagles anytime soon.
If i have to leave the country with my money, i can take up to 10,000.00$ with me without a problem. Each eagle is one dollar. I'd actually only be leaving with 1500.00$ in eagles unfortunately. But you could take alot of wealth on a plane ride out of the country when the shit get to deep here. Just a thought. Legally!
Eagles are Sovereign Coins, bullion bars are just silver. If the only buyers of silver one day are banks, sovereign coins is where you wanna be not generic bullion bars.
When you buy your last meals with silver, and you will be, only spot value will matter. What you paid beyond that was your foolish move for a world long gone.
