@Farid Amin thanks very helpful. Which do you use most ? What is your go to? I will use it only 2 times a month and likely will use it for 15 min each time just shaping my beard and my hairline only on the odd occasion. Do you think on that basis the Babybliss super motor would stand out? Apparently the babyliss can be used even when plugged in which will mean long term battery performance might be a little less critical what do you think?

Is the only think different between the gold and silver model the colour? I was looking at the gold one in the UK as it was recommened to me but its over £120 in most places but the silver is around £60

3 years later would you still recommend the UK version (I'm in the UK) as a trimmer to do my neckline? I'm looking for something which I can use to avoid needing to use a razor blade or foil. They are the same but I actually prefer the UK version. The Super Motor Trimmer have been my go too's lately!

Love the vid bro, i purchased the gun metal finish uk version of the babyliss fx02 foil shavers around 4 months ago but im just curious if the uk verision is the exact same as the gold and chrome fx02 sold over in the us except from the colour? You got any idea on them? Love💪🏻 also how does super motor trimmers compare? I heard the blades are different🤔

Thank you! As far as I'm aware the USA and European version of the shavers are the same. Most of the electronic barbering tools are dual voltage now and work anywhere around the world. The differences seem to be more for marketing purposes. Blades on the trimmer feel the same just a different colour 👍🏾

Everything seems to be the same so far apart the base that's been redesigned to fit the stand. Yeh, I know what to mean about the older version, I stayed away from that one too!

I actually have both in my daily rotation, my gold fx blades are set different to the super motors. The latter are sharper.

Hi, I want to buy the uk model for personal use would you suggest buying it or should I go with something else? I'm bald and I don't want to shave every 2 3 days or use a foil shaver as it's quite a hassle... I want something that gets very close to the skin to get a shaved head kinda look, but I also want to use it for my beard to fade it. Do you think this would be a good purchase for this? Also I can see there are no combs for setting the length in the package, where would I buy those from or is it not compatible with those?

Hi, yes I'd highly recommend this for personal use and I don't think you can get guards for this trimmer.

Hey, I'd personally go for the Super Motors as they come with the stand. Other than that I think it's more of a colour preference as the blades can be swapped to fit either. Try Mcr Barber Supplies on Instagram, they've just had a restock and tell him I sent you there 👊🏾

If you want gold fx to fit to charging stand cut the bottom bit flat so it will fit nicely. I have done my and it works. You need to get rid of hook too.

Bro bought hese babyliss skeleton they are great for shape ups etc but when taking off bulk of hair it tugs and pulls hair. Are these made for only sharp shape ups etc and not like a trimmer that will take bulk of hair.. Thanks

Depends on the hair type for bulk removal although I do use it sometimes for that purpose. I purchased it for shaping up as its main job though

I'm really liking the UK version.. prefer it to the Gold FX. I've not had any heating issues and it came zero gapped out of the box. Where did you buy yours from?

DaMian The Barber I bought it online from Salon Direct. I did get in touch with them and they said they’ve raised it with babyliss and advised that the blades need to be oiled which is fair enough. I had to zero gap it myself with the tool that came with it. It hits hard but you can feel the heat on your skin after a few minutes.

Been using mine for a 6 months and not sure is it just me or the blade and teeth bites and scratches a bit very sharp . I guess i might have to drop it a bit below zero! Was wondering do you feel them the same

You took all that time and did not actually compare them as in use them ,thats a nonsense comparison, do better than that. Like you use one on one side of your face or a clients face, then use the other on the other side. I have the same trimmer the zero gap to brings the cutting blades like 99% to the guard blade. If you run you finger nail over the cutting blade ,you feel the top of the guard blade. Using this trimmer after using the zero gap tool ,you will need to be very light to the touch when edging up.
