I have both, and the silver I haven’t zero gapped at all and they’re slightly better at bulk removal on fades, etc. Gold Fx are easier to line up with.
Are these clippers a step up big time for Andis t outlier. I’m starting out been cutting my hair for three months maybe four. Would it be good to get a baby bliss
This trimmer has taken over the game very Fast... The graphite blade is an instant must have. I didn’t need the zero gap nothing! Mine come out the box as Str8 hitters! No ?’s asked! Side note: never bald out with these, find something else to do that!!
Bryan Williams when I find a trimmer that cuts very well for your detail edge up work, I don’t like to mess them up. Balding with them consistently, will mess the blade up. I’ve added other trimmers just for that purpose. I personally prefer the Andis outliner blade for the cordless detachable ZR’s
I've been cutting my hair for years. I gave my son his first haircut and I cut his hair until he learned how to cut his own (he is 30 now). I'm looking for a new trimmer and your video was very informative and helped me make my decision. Nice work and God bless you. Peace.
Awesome trimmers, only difference besides obviously the color is the blade. The gold is louder because the trimmer has done it’s power cycles to put battery at full strength while the silver was unboxed

If u flip the trimmers upside down while balding u will not get that pull, but TbH I got both of those trimmers also and I still choose the gold skeletons all day over silver. They just hit way harder and sharper well at least for me!

I finally ordered the Silver Graphite. In the mail today.....Can't Wait. I had the Andis Outliner II for 10 years and the cord finally snapped on me so yeah time to enter the 21st century.
The delay comes from the brushless motor not the battery the motor on these trimmers are the same motors they use in them rc cars that push 30 mph Easy

I use the gold myself . Def can catch a little when balding out I notice, but I’m no barber and no it’s not worth the cost in my opinion. That deep tooth blade looks like a better option in my opinion.

I’m trying to stop using these razors on my head and in my face. I recently purchased the silver fx ones that you mentioned. I stumbled upon this video because I was trying to learn how to zero gap them. I wasn’t aware of the different types of these clippers. So my question to you is which one of these clippers would you recommend for me to get or use to shave my head bald as if I had used a razor? Or is it really about the blade you put on the these clippers and not the actual shaver or shaver color? Thanks I appreciate your insight on the matter
is this one okay to use to clean whole beard? not to just line/shape the beard, but to remove whole beard? is it okay to get for this purpose? or will it scratch my neck or cheeks?
The gold blades are shorter and thinner the fact that they’re thinner they cut sharper lines but the silver fx has a deep tooth blade which is better for bulkier hair and wet hair and still cuts super sharp the short blades on the gold fx tend to snag hair because the blades are so short you gotta lower the hair around the hairline real nice to get that fine line the silver you don’t have to do that and you can also use either blades on either device
Dope vid. After 19 I started shaving my own head. Which blade would you recommend to get it the lowest before hitting it with the foil. For context I'm not a barber. Thanks
im guessing the blades are inter changeable and thats cool, but on the job when you got to cut people using different blades there's no time to be swapping blades so you buy both, ill buy 2 golds and have one with the graphite blade, black and gold looks pretty good, question, do the gold rub off easily on the gold? oops you got that.. thanks.

Mirche Samardjioski the different run time is for how long the clipper will stay on before the battery dies. I think you should go with the fx787g because of the better run time.
Hoping someone can help! Mine wont turn on. When on charger the blue light blinks rapidly. When i turn them on i hear a faint hum and a rapid blue flash, thats it. What could be the cause?

I have the a black and rose gold set of trimmers and Clippers. The black set has a black blade. Sometimes bites people. The rose good set has a silver blade and doesn't cut when edging. So frustrating. My boss has a red set with gold blade and it works great. What the heck?
I am trying to decide between the babyliss pro & the wireless toutliner. Looking for a review between the 2 to see which is more practical for me. I'm not a barber.. I do however cut my out hair. I usually shave my head. I have the corded toutliner for the past 10 yrs. Man that thing still hits like a champ. But I wanted to get something cordless. Any suggestions?
The only diff aside from Color is the blade that they come with. Gold come with the FX707B which is for finer hair and produces a sharper line while the silvers come with the FX707B2 which is for thicker, coarser hairs and better for debulking. I have both blades for the silver.
