I have lost friends through jealousy too and what’s funny is they had ‘more’ than me. But when I levelled up they didn’t like it and turned on me- I was supposed to stay lower so they could feel superior. Never again will I play that game.

This ex acquaintance was filthy rich yet sounded disappointed that I had a credit card and wanted to know about my job, promotion, my pay, if I got a hike... back then I was pretty slow to realise that she never cared about me as a friend, what bothered her was that I was no longer someone she could patronisingly look down on with fake pity.
This is the best advice I’ve ever heard on this topic- I watch it regularly to remind myself that other people don’t have a right to my presence. Lately I’m gifting my absence like it’s Christmas every week lol
They definitely target me. And when I get em up off of me they lie and tell people it’s me. I pray for God to avenge me. They poke and poke before I blow up. I ignore and ignore and ignore. Then they poke more. Which causes me to go off. Get silent. I get cold. And I get distant. I just wonder why when I endure their mess. God allows them to smear me. And know one ask me my side. And they believe them. Which causes me to miss out on opportunities and it messes with my finances.
2021 is the transformation year for me...getting rid of toxic frienships and even those old ones like 18 years of friendship (we have nothing in common anymore and he is SO damn jealous of me and what I have). The thing is...part of me is afraid of being alone.
Lately I’ve been experiencing older women I work with, never seem to remember me. I’ve met people over handfuls of times and each time they say when they leave “it was so nice to meet you” yet they don’t mean it. I think the psychology of it is to make me feel like I’m a nobody. Or not worth remembering. It stings, that’s why I remember other peoples names so well. I knowwwwwww. How it feels.
I can see A LOT of people being jealous towards you. You carry a lot of wisdom, pizazz, and spunk! On top of that, you have this aura about you that I can tell, upon meeting you IRL, you illuminate the room. You have an “it” factor about you - _authenticity._ Your being comfortable in your own skin makes you even more attractive than you already are, and THAT poses a threat within people who feel insecure with theirselves, their own lives, and _everything_ about them (built upon falsehoods aka, hence, why they are so fake). Love your videos !! It takes courage for most people to be their true selves. And you just own it, ALL of it so self-assuredly, a refreshing quality to have as an awesome modern day human being! ❤️
almost every day i encounter these types of people.... Recently dropped a whole friend group because it got to the point of which they started to want basically everything i have or want,since they couldn't i got burned by their severe mental bullying .From my experience avoid these people like plague they are not good for your mental health.
People are always jealous of me and I’m not even nobody to be jealous of. I ask God if I got to endure this abuse can you please give me whatever it is they think they see. Lol Riches so I can at least get therapy and enjoy my life.
I feel this way as I get older- and, i think in the past i ignored it. But, now- i don't tolerate it as well. People say weird things that are rude or inappropriate. People who don't know you well give you advice that you didn't ask for. I realize people have different values and boundaries. I am open and warm but, seem to get splattered with unexpected slime comments from adults.
The thing is even if you have less than people people will still be jealous of you. For example I don’t have a lot of material things I’m not super rich people try to make me feel like crap because of it. Yeah I’m more positive and want to congratulate people for their accomplishments. But my situation is that I tend to be younger than my adversaries and because of the men that they want like me then I get the jealousy.
I've experienced this. Doesn't feel good. But I do have a lot of good things for myself. Drop these people. I am not a jealous person, so it took me a very long time to see jealousy for what it is. I've dropped a lot of friends.
It’s my family. So i can get away from their toxicity and negativity without estranging. But on top of it then i also have to deal with it from coworkers at jobs I’ve worked, and others.
Sage advice. You nailed. It 👍🏻. My 57 year old little sister Did that to me for so many years. I hated it. She had no job out or money. She had a family with 1 income her husband. Her husband got paid twice a month and she’d sit on the couch especially when she knew that date was getting close. When paid she’d call me asking me and my family out to dinner. I always told her she was wasting that money way too fast and they were broke quickly. Took them a weekend to spend and a couple days to sped all his paycheck. I’d tell her you shouldn’t do that you’ll be all out of money to slow down. So now their broke right? So she’d ask/tell me for her mortgage she wanted from US! . We’d help them out with large amounts. Until my husband no more money that they needed to stretch that paycheck and that they were over spending and then they had to now way basically the next 2 weeks for his paycheck again. Ya really ticked husband off. Oh they never paid anything back. Then I heard she was going to my mother on a fixed income. One day mom told me she’d write these “loans” down and I see the loan list and it made me sick. Mom never got all her money back. It was a lot too. Finally mom said no to loans. Sister got mad at mom. She’d keep her grandkids away from my sweet mother until she got more money. Mom stopped it again. Finally she told her seriously I’m done loaning you money. I told her no again too. Then she wouldn’t take my calls. Childish huh? One day somehow she found out that we found out about a very nice garage sale in a rich neighborhood and that basically gave things or the butler would sell it for dirt cheap just to get rid of it like perfectly good computers, all types nice thing for cheap. Well they meet up ticked of still at me. We meet at my work. My work was very old looking, but still made excellent money to a lot of people. She kept in my ear about how old and ugly the building was and I should quit! I said NO! She for years put my employer down. I made good money too and loved my job. But she always told me then told others. Finally I thought IGNORE her. I didn’t want to speak to her I didn’t wanna take her on. I’d hear her mouth at events and I’d just ignore her. Much later down the line she now begged me to get her a job where I worked and was holding that over my head. I reminded her nicely about what she said to me about my office building. Awww to my surprise she couldn’t remember that. She said I made it up. Ok whatever I’m not taking you on again. I lived this vicious cycle with. I’d have to see her at family events so ya. I told my husband as much as she begs for money no. They lost their home tax problems a bunch of mortgage payments but I always said no mom too. Nobody got paid back. All she’d say things about my employer who was so nice. In any event she’d put me down now with new stories, total lies and I’d say hi and walk away. She had so many stories. Sometimes our mutual friends would tell me I’d say ya I know. Was exhausting
I dropped the parasitic "fair weather"friends years ago. I got tired of being used when it suited them, then they in turn did me dirty. My friends don't treat me this way. I surround myself with new friends who have my same interests, they don't take pleasure in meddling and gossiping and carrying tales, and they respect boundaries ;not dropping in unannounced, etc.
Ahh the dropping in unannounced- my aunt would do that; dressed to the nines and swanning in like Queen bee and looking down on me. She has been ghosted.
