Sometimes you know enough algorithms and you need to work on practicing the ones you know. Focus on cross or f2l which make up a bigger part of you solve.

Yep, recently I thought I'd start to learn COLL but I have ditched that idea for now as I'm not sure it's worth it at the moment. I started 2 years ago and just scraped under 25 seconds average of 100 a couple of weeks ago using smart cubes. That doesn't include recording any pick up, drop down times and the odd DNF not counted which might add a second or 2 to my solves. I need a lot of work on cross, F2L, and 'M' slice PLL's take ages. Maybe you could do some videos on how to approach, practise these areas and share some tips? Thanks! 🙂👍.

Thanks for leaving a comment, and for the video idea! As you can see from the video I’m also not the best at M slice algs, I always use the ‘R U’ U perms. F2L I think I can offer some useful tips.

@@noahstelting Cool yeah, I use R U's for U Perms as well It's the H and Z that take up a lot of time with the M slices. I think it's because I'm following the sound, rhythm of the cube as I'm turning. A couple of other PLL's are slow as well but they are the usual suspects. I'm 54 now so my fingers are a bit slow in general as well with a touch of arthritis creeping in but hoping by the end of this year I can make it sub 23 ao100. Cheers 🙂👍

I learned COLL when I was averaging around 11-12s and I am pretty sure it helped me a lot

@@nikmrn Nice. I've learned the 4 H ones and 5 of the 6 L ones. I have just started working my way through them the last few days. Shouldn't take too long but I still need to incorporate them in my solves. I will do that slowly when learn some more of them 👍
