Does Leather make The Message Bible Authoritative? 

Excellent video, Joe! I have a hardbound Message given to me by my former Lead Pastor and enjoy it very much.

I own a leather-like copy of the Message. I enjoy reading it alongside other translations.

I enjoyed your review of The Message in general and of this edition in particular. I don't always agree with The Message's interpretation, but that's how I feel about all translations and paraphrases to some degree!

Ok, YT finally working so I could finish watching! I enjoyed your analysis of Genesis, It does seem there's some serious effort behind it. I've never got into The Message but Mrs. TSB sometimes uses it in addition to her beloved NKJV. Hers is just a hardcover!

The Message has its place in this world. I know a lot of people who really enjoy it. No, I don't think any book is more authoritative if it is bound in leather; any book can be bound in leather and have fancy paper.

I always hear horrible things about the message Bible. Are any of the allegations close to true? I have heard some people say that it needs to be burned because it is blasphemous/immoral and whatnot.
