I love "Grosse Point Blank". Perfect combination of dark humor, romance, a little violence and a whole lot of melancholy. Dan Aykroyd steals the show in this. Very underrated movie. There is nothing like it.

That's really fascinating! I had no idea that Cusack was a legitimate badass. I knew that he was a very big guy, and it's perhaps kind of funny that he has so often been cast in films as kind of a diminuitive, physically not imposing character. Same for Tim Robbins, who is also a very tall and large guy but has successfully played many characters who were shown as being physically wimpy.

None of the guys you mentioned had legitimate full contact experience. JCVD has made many debunked claims, but his background is in light contact and point sparring. The others don’t even have that. I don’t know Cusack’s training, but I do know that if he trained under Benny for over thirty years and that he promoted him to 6th dan in his system and vouches for him, that’s a lot more solid evidence than the Movie Fu of the others you mentioned. There are many people in the martial arts that never train full contact and look impressive on film.

@@davidhughes6741 what the fuck are you on about so just because benny trained John Cusack the he is one best fighters around more then michael jai white jackie chan jet li sammo hung and what have you. show me one clip of john training or sparring with anybody and I can show you stuff with the others. Benny is great sure but so are many others and thats kickboxing he did, there are many others martail arts as well and Jean Claude van damme have competed may it be in light contact and point sparring but thats what Chuck norris did as well in karate. Jackie Chan has trained with many under his career and trained many as well

I'm gonna generalize her and not speak about the actors but mostly the fans of them. The is a huge problem, most of us tend to deify movie stars martial artists. People have to understand that movies are choreographed but real fight is not

I read John Cusack is a 6th Dan in Kickboxing??? That's suspect. However, Cusack does not have a chance against MJW.

Ask Benny about the fighters in Elvis’ new gladiators movie. TV fights are choreographed and aren’t “realistic” at all. There’s a video on here of one of the men Benny knew, Tom Kelley against Joe Lewis. Mr. Kelley could show you what real was compared to TV. A lot of these who versus who is click bait.

love this interview. i've never known that John Cusack could fight and The Jet vouches for him ✌️ i'll take his word anyday because he has one hell of endurance in his fights and he used to occasionally backflips at the end of his wins. thanks for this interview.

Tony Yaniro was a monster and was the very definition of humility. I witnessed him blast off 80 very slow pullups and he just decided that he shouldn't be a dick about it. You wouldn't want him to get grabby with you.
