We definitely need a part 2 video for this topic or a full course on the subject. This is one of the big issues that most pet parents would love to know how to prevent it and how to treat at home whenever possible

My 16 year old cat was at death’s door with pancreatitis. Two weeks of insulin, hydration, and force feeding, and now he is back to his normal self.

I do the same thing ! Don’t believe what your vet said unfortunately he’s an archaic professional. You gotta make sure twice a year you run blood test just to make sure your dog is healthy due the fact you (we) for him/her 😊

Yes in the wild the dogs feast on grains😂😂

Thank you Dr Judy and your incredible guest. Due to costs of blood tests, x-rays etc....i have resorted to taking myself and my fur baby to an iridologist. He identifies immediately any issues, non invasive. Well, that is helping us for now. I'm in South Africa. Thank you for your fight for our animals. ❤❤

My dog had elevated liver enzymes for about 6 months, but he had no signs of being sick, very active 3 year old and his ultrasound was normal. My vet thought it could be copper storage, so she recommended a low copper diet. When I called the nutritionist she said copper storage is extremely rare and she wouldn't jump to conclusions. She asked what I fed him regularly, I do pre made raw and I was adding a couple of asparagus and broccoli every day. She gave me a couple Chinese herb teas and we tried that for a month, plus stopped the asparagus. His levels went back to almost normal in 1 month.

Maybe it was the asparagus. It contains sulfur. I think brokkoli also. So maybe to much sulfur!

So my dog may or may not have pancreatitis. My dog may or may not have higher fat raw food. My dog can have omega 3’s and equal it to omega 6 or something… I think the only thing that was helpful is ‘starch is bad’. Everything seems up in the air

Could you tell me please if you get the chance to answer ! When we take our dogs to the yearly exan and they take your dogs the blood work ,the urine, and stool samples, vaccine i dont let the vaccines happen anymore because of all your videos and research that I Have done too ! I'm due for his rabies in fact it was due for the 3 year on October 30th I don't want to do it it's a law here in Connecticut but My German Shepherd male who just turned 4 has been having a lot of problems I feed him raw! I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong! He has fleas and stomach problems none of the vets around here believe in raw. feeding! I am stumped as to what the heck I am doing wrong! I gettingoff topic sorry😢but the regular blood work they do and urine would it show the issues of any disease? I have frustrated and dealing with a dealing with even a scarred muscle in the 2 nd . Year of his life and sports medicine specialist thought he had fibrotic myopathy but now a follow-up 2 years later and they decided that they didn't think that the fibrotic myopathy was the diagnosis and they want me to go to a neurologist and I am not happy about that 2yrs have passed and it could be detrimental for a dog to be having a hard time finding out what the problem because they have been wasting precious time and I am. Very sad and angry at this point to say the least that might have been able to treat him early and hopefully it's not the case. He's young and he is my heart 😢

I love the raw diet. But I just get my bison and some organic veggies at the grocery store. And bison treats and supplements online ordered.

A couple questions. First, you mentioned aflotoxins in grains and legumes. My question is do seeds contribute to inflammation? Seeds, like chia seeds, which are very commonly used to add fiber to dog diets, for example. I recently found out that chia seeds are high in oxalates, which can be inflammatory. Half the raw food diets I've looked at include chia seeds. Or they include other types of seeds to add fiber, or to provide essential nutrients, but I've wondered if seeds are really a good idea. Dogs in the wild don't generally go around chomping down on seeds. And second, a lot of people who are making their dog's homemade food add canned fish to their dog's diet. Would canned fish be considered high-heat processed? I've been feeding homemade food to my dogs, and including fish three times a week, but I'm very land-locked, and the easiest fish to be able to get is canned fish. I buy packed in water, no salt added, but otherwise, I would not be able to add fish to my dog's diet. But those tins of fish are probably high-heat processed, and I worry that it could be contributing fats that have been damaged by high heat.

Hi. Me as well. I started adding hemp oil so I could be more consistent. I order from dogs naturally. Check them out.

I wish you went into treatment. That's what we are all struggling with and the vets are clueless here. Raw, complete. What's that even mean? Frankly, humans can live on beef alone. We are carnivore and are healthy. Might as well do that for my dog. Can't hurt. Nothing else helps much. Raw has made an improvement.

Mildly elevated ALT can be due excessive copper in the diet. It is the first sign of copper storage disease. My dog had a mildly elevated for awhile which went back to normal after reducing copper in the diet.

I feed my dog once in the beginning of the day and no food at night! Along the idea of fasting… people tell me lamb and duck kibble the worst to cause that

Dr Judy please 🙏 I need advice regarding my 6 year old chihuahua who I think had pancreatitis and I just dont trust vets anymore as my last dog died from pancreatitis and they always recommend dry dog food. Im currently giving her cooked breast chicken and little bit of scramble egg and she loves it. Im not sure what to do as Im highly stressed and worried she is picking up the stress from me. I also give her diluted Slippery Elm to help her guts which helped before when this occurred is this ok? Ive also give her hemp oil for omega's. I dont want my dog to die to have to go to any vets as I dont trust them and do not want them to vaccinate her for anything. 😢 please help me 😢

When do we get to 🐈‍⬛? Your title mentions cats, but you barely discuss felines. My cat wasn’t obese and was only fed cooked protein. The only kibble he was fed was recommended by the vet for senior cats with the beginning of renal failure.
