Former Houston Texans defensive lineman watches Ohio State defensive lineman Mike Hall Jr. and discusses why Texans coach DeMeco Ryans probably likes him as much as Seth does.
Yes! Give us more X & O’s. Go full Madden on us Seth! We can get idiot talking points from non-playing former writer blow hards everywhere. We want the real scoop!
Nice video but I did just see a 7 round mock that has Dallas taking him at pick 54 and that makes perfect sense. They really need help at DT but I don't see him as worthy of the 42nd pick. As a consolation in this same mock they had us taking Tyler Nubin at 42 and because Hall isn't there, BPA with Edgerin Cooper at 59. Cooper is a nice consolation price if we can't get someone of Hall's caliber at 59.
@@brandonhallam51that's the vibe I'm getting. Since I don't know much about Settle and Fatukasi. They probably view them as their run stuffers. They'll get their pass rush DT in the draft. Hall fits that mold.
Yeah Ive been thinking Demeco would want Autry and Micheal Hall jr as their fast pass rush and then rotate Fatukasi and Settle in there when they want more size And I dont think they are looking at Darius Robinson this draft but they might keep an eye on him in the future cause he kinda looks like Autry 2.0
Darious Robinson another good player to take a look at Hall's not big enough we need a monster run stopper Seth we know 4th and one to light first first in goal to light Touch down game over but hes a good little guy thats what happen last year we need a behemouth of a player that can 6:58 stop 4th and goal stop 3rd abd shorts to win the win the game Sweat at #42 seth don't care how athletic and feisty they are you cant be giving up 5 or 6 yards we need a tree trunk that's what killed us last year does anyone remember john taylor running all over our defense wake up
With this insane new tackling rule, we're not going to see a lot of tackling this year. More like a lot of that going for the sweet feet action. Gotta try and flop down and try and grab some ofcthem sweet feet.
Smaller guys in the middle and we won’t add a Linebacker? I guess that’s how the league is moving towards. With the rule changes and softening of the game.
Seth, he’s perfect if you like short and underweight interior D linemen. I’m just a guy but I’m a guy who is tired of seeing the various offenses run straight up the middle on the Texans and because there’s no interior push from the D line the QB is able to step up and away from the edge rushers. I myself am not big on a 280lb interior D linemen
I defer to your Pro Expertise !! and trust your Judgement . Could we end up with Hall & Sweat ? I would love to have Sweat to put in for good Running Teams or 3rd & long Pass rush /Blitz package !!
Great video Seth. I was really hoping their holy trinity of draft wants at DT are Fiske, Hall, Newton. Then to a lesser degree Kris Jenkins and Tevondre Sweat. It seems like the first 3 and Kris Jenkins fit more what Demeco is looking for. Idk if Fiske fits our team as much either. Demeanor wise and maybe age because he is 24 years old. Almost 25 when the season starts. I also like they are visiting a bunch of safeties lately. I think that guy Bullock from USC fits us perfectly. He is a real hitter. Almost a linebacker with his height. Then of course I like Tyler Nubin because he is a ballhawk.
Seth, I just think he is a bit too compact and short to be able to handle NFL size O-Linemen. Two or three plays in and he will be tanked.... He kinda gives me some KG vibes....He might just get so beat up at the NFL level that he loses his confidence. I originally wanted Sweat untill his STUPID immature move.... I've since replaced him as my DT love interest with either Jenkins or Newton.....Both are prototypical big, nasty DTs and would contribute to the rotation on day one....and one or the other will most likely be there at #42 and maybe #59 when we pick. KEEPING THE FAITH!!! GO TEXANS!! 🤠
He went up against some big dudes on the OL in the B1G and Notre Dame. He's smaller guy so he'd make good rotational piece. Hall flashed a few times and showed his capable of momentarily taking over a game. A good example is late 4th qrt. of the 2022 TOSU vs Notre Dame game. One thing about a Larry Johnson coached DLineman is they're going to be taught very good technique.
@@duanecarter7954 He just seems a bit small looking to me...I don't doubt his technique, that showed with Seth's tape...My concern is how long he can deal with NFL size tackles and guards pounding on him before he is tuckered out and leaves us vulnerable up the middle....If DeMeco and Burke think he will work for the scheme I trust them.... I just feel both Jenkins and Newton are more typical from an overall size point of view....and BOTH show up winning thier snaps more often than Hall does on film. Whoever we get needs to be ready on day one to rotate in and out so the big nasties will stay fresh and aggressive.....I just see Jenkins or Newton being able to stay on the field a bit longer before they rotate out to get some rest. Like I said....I trust Nick, DeMeco and Burke to make a wise choice for the team so if they pick Hall....I'm all in. KEEPING THE FAITH!!! GO TEXANS!!! 🤠
