Dang Ben! He played the true “Brown Card” and cleared a room. Looks like he was hoarding some farts and cleared out his collection at just the right time
LOL! My Grandmother moved to America, from Nicaragua, when she was 16 years old. She lived in San Francisco and met my (very white) Grandfather there. They'd moved to Montana @ 1970, and my parents moved there as well, when I was 2. Grandmother always had that thick pronunciation of the English language, even though she rarely ever spoke Spanish.
Gabbo ain’t lieing if you don’t use/practice your native language you can “loose” it. At some point I forgot how to say blender in Spanish had to look it up. But now because of that experience memory I don’t forget it. Also depending on your profiencency with you second language you can “fake” or act not having an accent but it requires a complete focus and thinking about every syllable. Also classes aren’t going to get rid of someone’s accents if you didn’t learn the language by your early teens chances are you’ll have an accent. you can learn how to act it out but it won’t be your natural speaking voice.
@@gabbothegiver oh that makes sense, either way it’s great when you’re able to be there! I don’t know if I ever tol you, I can’t speak Gabbonese but I can understand it pretty well 😂😂 happiness!!
Best episode yet 💪 It's all about what you feed your spirit music, conversation etc... Pick up your cross and carry it daily. God has obviously blessed you guys recently.
Most bands challenge the norm and have questionable lyrical content but there is usualy a context to them , yes bands exsist that go beyond for the shock value but they rarely hit mainstream audiences , in regards to band shirts i do a very simple thing and consider my surroundings, im not rolling up to a kids birthday party wearing a cannibal corpse or slipknot shirt as i know it may scare, confuse or offend a younger person its kinda common sense , unfortunatly freedom of speech these days is misused to push an agenda and manners and common sense are less taught.
My old Kitchen manager was bilingual, but mostly spoke spanish with the kitchen staff and english with the front of house staff. He was off one order day and left me a list of what to order, but wrote it in English. One line said guantes (gloves) and the line underneath said "más sheepr" I was going around to all the kitchen staff trying to figure out what he wanted more of, and none of us could figure it out. This goes on for like 20 minutes and I'm about to call my KM, when my line cook starts speaking it around, MÁS Sheep-er. AHA moment...."more cheaper", meaning order the less expensive gloves....he just spelled it out like he said it. All my kitchen guys were dying laughing when we figured out what he meant😂😂😂!!! We told the KM the next day about it, and he was like, " más sheeper gloves, that's what I wrote" 😂😂😂
I'm from up North. I'd lived in Texas for a couple of years and was hanging around with my very Southern friend. He was packing up his NES into it's box and asked me to hand him the "Star Foam". I said "What?" He repeated it and again and I said "What?" He says "Star Foam!" I replied with "ah Styrofoam." He says " Yeah, that's what I said!"
Dude I’m not going to lie Gabbo made this show so entertaining during the grow era. So I feel your pain brotha. Your humble and why God has blessed you. I love ❤you dude.
I love what Riff said, "come to Jesus as you are". Your relationship with Him will slowly transform what you want and like to do. Allow yourself and others grace to grow and change, but as fellow believers dont be afraid to draw attention (amongst each other) of problem behaviours.
Ironically. Im true Brown 100% Mexican and somehow Riff looks more Mexican than I do 😅😅 dude makes so many jokes .. but looks it 😹 I guarantee Mexican people constantly speak Spanish to him assuming he’s brown. Because simply he is! 😹 look at his skin! Hahah its a weird curse without the benefits to him I’m sure hahaha
Loooooong time fan Spanish speaker here (I follow the show since the days of Retro Liberty back in 2010). It's always cool to have some Latino representation on the Squad, actually I would love some Spanish little spaces or videos of Gabo or Ricky, but since Ricky isn't "Brown" anymore, just Gabo. That makes me remember, a time that I messaged you guys thru Instagram and Mikey answered and we talked a bit in Spanish, that was awesome. Keep it up guys ❤
The leftist have a hard time understanding what freedom and freedom of speech means… those are the same rights that socialist leftists have and they are allowed to spew their nonsense…
Going to church doesn't save you, but the Bible is clear we need to connect with other believers (don't forsake the gathering of the saints). We need time together to read the Bible and pray and worship, your local church covers these bases.
In any kind of religion I believe these conversations are important to have to develop that relationship between you and your belief. I think it's beautiful that you guys are genuine and honest. This is what it's all about which is the journey. These conversations are talks more important to have to become the best versions of yourselves. Nobody's perfect regardless of how much we try to pretend.
When I was a christian i would wear my slayer and manson shirts all the time. Listening to black and death metal, watching gore and horror and its just art. If I did go to church or something id tone the shirts down and the cursing ya know? Its like going to an interview, you wouldnt wear an exodus shirt and a battle vest, you dress with common sense. You can still wear the shirts, curse and do those things while having a personal relationship, imo, because id think a god would be more interested in how you treat others rather than what art you consume. And yes Tom Araya the lead singer of slayer is a practicing Catholic.
It's not metal music rather the idolatry that is the sin. The Bible says that wisdom of the world makes you foolish to God. Don't worry though, we all have a long way to go to get to heaven. I myself own thousands of movies and cds, you just have to know that God wants all of your love not what's left after music movies and video games. All good Christians will get there someday and if you're worried then ask God to help you to leave the world behind.
Anyone else use to curse all the time and then felt God’s conviction to put a stop to it? Then (years later for me) felt like God was refining you even more & brought inappropriate jokes to your attention… Feeling convicted by the Holy Spirit to cease making those kind of jokes, too? 😅😬
100%. The closer you draw to Jesus, the less appealing crass talk and behaviour becomes. For some it's instant, for others like me, it's a journey over time.
