To me it's the opposite, it's amazing how they created such disgusting, pathetic people while still making them feel human instead of a cartoon.

Really? To me, the real impressive feature of the show is how it manages to actually PREVENT you from sympathizing too much with terrible, pathetic, greedy people the way most American shows do with their protagonists (no matter how heinous said protagonists' actions and treatment of other people are); it does this, like the commenter above said, while still keeping the characters human and multifaceted and keeping you as a viewer completely engaged.

@@alexlazzerly3677 Yes, she is an actress, but many others are also actors, so they always play the same roles (Dwyane Johnson, Bruce Willis, Vin Diesel, Jakie Chan). Also, some actors are just like their characters. There is no difference between Logan and Brian from Succession...or Cousin Greg and Nicholas. Now, look at Matthew/Tom or Sarah/Shiv. Well, they are real actors. Characters totally different from themselves.
