9:23 Jigglypuff’s Rest doesn’t actually give them the “Sleep” status, just a long unique animation. So, this doesn’t prove whether sleeping opponents make the surprised face or not.

If Jigglypuff has her shield broken, will Shadow's slowdown or freeze effect still affect her, or is it stopped by her I-frames? What about if it's in the last 5 seconds of the game?

With things like rolls and air dodges it the I-frames don't affect shadow so I assume it would be the same for a shield brake but I don't know for sure

Fact#1: Remember that fact where Olimars final smash would kill him on saffron city? I accidentally killed myself with it in fourside. I could be remembering wrong, but I know for sure I wasn't on saffron so that must mean it's possible on at least one other stage. Fact#2: If Kirby uses his stone at extremely high percent and makes contact with Wii Fit Trainers windbox from sun salutation, he will be flung to the side, even killing him if he adds the vertical momentum from coming out of the rock. Two Wii Fits can actually play catch infinitely this way, as he won't be forced out for some reason.

A small fact Some characters like simon and ike hit the ground with his weapons in some taunts. If they are standing on water like in delfino plaza fountain of dreams and some variations of tortimer sland the water will splash similar to how it splash when a character lands on it

6:15 I think many instances of on screen character models are actually in game entities. You can see this in mods there things can happen to the models despite not being in combat. For example, in Vishera's mod where characters randomly explode, characters will explode even on the victory screen. I've seen this behavior in previous games too. Edit: Another possible occurrence of this is in the shooting minigame in the spirit board. I've seen a hack that spawns in the special blaster and anyone shot by it will be KO'd with the special zoom. This leads me to believe that minigame is also running a modified instance of the game. Vish's exploding mod would probably work here too. Obviously these are done with hacks so it's not hard evidence, but it's very likely this is what's happening.

Yep! I tested this on mementos and it worked. the beetle held king.k.rool for a few seconds on the ceiling before king.k.rool broke free, then the beetle broke.

Just tried it on Temple. Yes it breaks and falls down if you wait long enough. If you mash out however while on the ceiling the Beetle explodes on the ceiling instead of falling down first.

Fact: Jigglypuff, after a shield break, can be saved by a ceiling. The result is pretty entraining. I wonder if her shield break velocity is affected by wind or custom stage objects...

During Ridley's neutral b charge, there is some time where you can hit him and deal extra damage (like 10% or something), but he will not be die even at 999%. It even has an animation.

The reason wario bike taunt is banned in wario ware minigame is so he cannot taunt while being a moving hitbox, this would be pretty broken as you can complete it while also interrupting other people

Yes, I have done it multiple times before. You can break the boxes that are usually destroyed by the cannon with enough hits.

His model is always 3D, actually - the model is flattened at the end of the animation process. That's why his model functions when being thrown (though seeing him animate like a normal character is cursed as shit). The metal coating's reflection is applied to the original 3D model, so it looks like light is reflecting off a sphere.

Here’s one I accidentally discovered Pokémon trainer has a 2-3 second cooldown on switching Pokémon, but this cool down can be cancelled by using a special move. However, this tech doesn’t work in squad strike. I think this might have something to do with Pokémon trainer being off screen. When the trainer is on screen he does an animation each time a Pokémon does a special, which cancels out the animation of the switch in a normal match (this is causes the cooldown to cancel) But when pt is off screen, the game doesn’t play that animation, it just has the timer.

I’m not sure if this is well known, but a fact about Little Mac is that while it is well known that bruises and bandages appear on his face at high percents, what I don’t think people know is that those bandages and bruises carry over to his victory animation. I just found that neat.

Another thing about that dinosaur game I learned is if you release down when you are fastfalling, your vertical speed gets reset. So if you tap down really quickly, you can extend the time you spend in the air.

That fact about the beetle breaking was pretty cool and I never really actively noticed it before! However I feel like the video sort of implies that you would never see that animation outside of very unique circumstances like being extremely heavy or having an extremely large top blast zone. If the beetle gets stuck underneath any part of the stage geometry, it won't be able to rise further and will break if the player is unable to mash out of it after a certain amount of time. Also, in case anyone was wondering, you can't pick up the broken beetle item. I tried.

I love how they went into all the detail of the beetle not being able to lift extremely heavy fighters all the way and even gave it a special animation. But have the beetle grab and lift fighters without the grab pincer upgrade thing which it needs to grab and lift stuff in Skyward Sword.

In the Chrome dinosaur game, if you click outside of the window or the search bar while you're in midair, the game will pause, and when you click back, you'll instantly warp down to the ground. This can be useful at extremely high speeds when your horizontal speed is too great to make it to the ground to jump over an obstacle.

If you set Pokémon trainer’s Pokémon to squirtle or ivysaur and trigger palutena’s guidance, it will give you Pokémon trainer dialogue. But if you set it to charizard, it will give you charizard’s conversation from smash 4

I found a glitch or an oversite! If you go in to training mode go on a stage that has battlefield like platform and with villager set him to side smash and with kirby suck up the bowling ball correctly you can walk around with it in you mouth and if you do the copy kirby will do the animation but nothing will come out and you get to see the cutest thing ever and it can't be pocketed(recommender fixed damage on)

when you parry (or perfect shield) with ken/ryu, the sound that plays with the parry is the one from sf3: third strike. Other characters simply have smash's sound effect.

Most characters that wield weapons typically won't change their stance when facing left or right, meaning you'll either see the front or back of that character. However, Ice Climbers do chance their stance, and swap which hand the hammer is in. Mr Game & Watch also changes his up-smash animation depending on which direction he faces, telling me he doesn't change his stance.

You can select a spell by pressing a, b, grab or any smash attack. You can also use the arrow buttons to navigate the spell menu.

1: What if you take a no-damage knockback source (like training mode Snake C4 you showed off, I doubt windboxes count) AND a no-knockback damage source (Fox laser, amybe Lip's Stick, etc)? Do you get another recovery special? Is it possible to make any move deal 0% and get this effect outside of Fixed Damage Training mode? 2: Are there other in-engine menus like that Special Smash one? Can you use a Spirit or something to take damage on the Spirit-acquiring shooting minigame? Or affect yourself at all on it? As always, good work! Edit: 3: Jigglypuff sleep is a special recovery animation that has nothing to do with the sleep status. Their face might still change! (also, spoilers, but it's possible to prove that Spirit minigame is in-engine with hacks, but the challenge sounds cool anyway, right? Fun-fact, the gun you use to shoot through the circle in it is an equitable item like a Raygun, that shoots its own powerful shot uwu)

Small little fact: If you go into camera mode before someone is KO’d, they disappear and play the death sound effect exactly 1 frame before the game ends.

Regarding the dinosaur game: if it’s blocked by an administrator (such as at some schools like my middle school), asteroids will appear and the dinosaur’s eyes will grow wide. You won’t be able to play obviously, but I don’t think this is very widely known.

Fun fact: if you shieldbroke Jigglypuff under a solid platform in a previous version of the game, they would hover there staying invincible for a few seconds before softly landing. I tried this again in a later update, but now Jiggs just hits her head on the platform and comes down straight away.

If you go into smash and choose the same character as your Amiibo (for me it was Dk so I chose Dk) and use the skin your amiibo usually has on, and than put your amiibo into the match your amiibo will switch to a different skin. I found this while trying to find a way to have 2 of the same characters use the same skin.

Two things: Bowser's final smash scales to the size of the stage, on Palutenas temple and great cave offensive it is massive compared to the fighters. Second, cinematic final smashes will reset specialfall. To give an example, if you have three fighters, one of them fox, and the other two random fighters, if you have the second fighter up b, and then have fox hit the third player with his final smash, after the final smash ends, fighter two can up b again, even though they should be in specialfall

Here’s a fact that I haven’t seen anywhere, but probably some people know about it-if you turn off stale moves in training mode then rage doesn’t work. My guess is that turning on stale moves sets the moves damage and knock back to its base form, so that means that it doesn’t take rage into account.

The Miis have some somewhat obscure differences between their moves and the characters they're based off of. For a couple examples: -Gunner Absorbing Vortex can increase your jump height when used at the same time as you jump, whereas Ness's will stall his upwards momentum. -Gunner down tilt has a pushback effect, but only when hitting a shield. This can cause you to fall off flatforms and cancel the endlag. From what I've seen, Samus doesn't have this. -Brawler Exploding Sidekick is weaker when using in the air than on the ground, unlike both Ganon and Falcon. -Brawler Onslaught has an aura effect in addition to rage, but it is almost unnoticable unlike Lucario's aura.

I've learned these techniques on my own so you can jump fastfall and do like 3 jumps before you touch a catus if you are fast enough. Playing smash bros really helps here
