I welded a third rear caster between my rear wheels works awesome doesn’t tip! I wish they would come this way keeps it from doing wheelies! I welded a 2” hitch recover on my timecutter and put a Boss tailgate spreader on the back then decided to put a 29 gallon northern tool chemical sprayer on the back then really noticed it need stabilization for the added rear weight. I also have a push button start on mine more video coming on my channel soon if anyone wants to check it out! Getting ready to add a very heavy rear roller with a linear actuator to raise it up when backing! I also made a remote controlled 36” reel mower! Love engineering stuff myself. I was thinking of making my own bagging system for my timecutter but I’m also thinking about either making my own fab deck or buying a toro z master with my ride I have a couple new spare coil over shocks I was also thinking of adding to my timecutter..
Super informative video, nicely done, thanks! I purchased a similar Toro and Bagger to what what you demonstrated and have been very impressed with it. It has worked great all summer, I have 0 complaints. I will admit it is my first rider and therefore first rider with a bagger so the bar was set low. One question if you have a minute, do you ever use the wash-out ports on your rider when the bagger is on? I have been using both wash-out ports but I've lifted the rear lid and removed the bags. As I watch the water come out of the tube in the back I can see it go from bright green to clear after about 2 minutes of running water through it. Once completed I let it air dry and then once dry I add the bags back onto the unit. So far it seems like a good system without damaging any parts but perhaps this is a bad approach. I'd enjoy hearing your thoughts if possible. Great work on the video though!
I wish more manufacturers offered a powered bagging system, I think it would help a lot with some of the clogging issues on larger mower decks. The problem is most people don't want to spend the money on the right equipment so they whine and complain about theirs LOL. I hope your back yard is huge because that zero turn mower deck is overkill for that small front yard LOL.
Hello, I also have the bag system on my toro my ride MX4275, but it clogs almost immediately in the lower tube, even when the grass is not very wet. Do you have the same problem ? It only collects when the grass previously cut, the day before, has dried. Which means doing twice the work What cutting height do you recommend to avoid this problem? Thank you for your feedback.
@user-ei8ly5qn2o without a power vac, the grass needs to be dry and the tube needs to be clean. It helps if the deck is clean also. You probably need to slow down a bit also. These are all generalizations from my experience with a John Deere 316 tractor and a bagger without the vac system
what are the dimensions front to rear and side to side with this mounted? Can you use this with mulching blades installed? Also how well is this at sucking up leaves for fall cleanup?
We shouldn't have to fix the bags when the stitching is clearly inadequate. Toro should be taking note of this issue and they should be feverishly looking to improve this design flaw. The product is substandard and it should be more robust than that. Having the stitching fall apart after a few dumps is totally unacceptable for the crazy money they ask for this system. I hope Toro Reps are watching this video because I won't bother to waste my money on an inferior product.
I absolutely hate the bags and bag mount. I bitch and moan everytime I have to dump them. The hanger for the bags suck. The lid wont stay open due to the air cleaner above the motor. I almost returned this Toro Titan mower just because of the bagger. The blower is great. My Deere Z445 bags were so much better. Just open the lid and slide the bags right off. No lifting and getting the angle just right, like the Toro bagger. What a piece of garbage. The grass came out of the deere bags easy compared to the Toro bags. I have to beat on the sides of the Toro bags to get the grass out. The stitching and extra fabric for the bag is on the inside. This might be holding grass clippings in from sliding out. What a joke. I'm furious right now just typing. Thanks for letting me vent. If any upgrades come out, let me know.
Couldn't agree more! Seeing the same problems you are describing. Everything about it seems cheap and flimsy. Whats with the 2 floppy angled side rods that rattle when mowing? They made them easily removable for what reason? The rest of the mounting bracket is bolted on so makes no sense for that design. Almost looks like an afterthought when they realized the weight of the grass bent the main bracket. To top it off, they shipped 2 left weight tray brackets instead of a right and left. Paid a lot for this mower and bagger system thinking I'd be set for years. My cheapo Craftsman from over 30 years ago that I replaced seemed better built. Also, if one would decide to add the jack lift mount with the bagger system, note that Toro bumbled the engineering in that they interfere with one another. You will have to either notch the bagger's weight tray and bracket or the jack bracket to make them fit together. Not too happy at this point. For over $1,000, you should not have to modify anything especially the bag handles. That is a heavy use item and should be designed to take the abuse. If it wasn't for the MyRide on the mower, I'd definitely look at another brand.
